This article treats the managerial skills and abilities of the teachers in primary education. To be a successful manager the teacher must have both theoretical knowledge and ambition, perseverance, tenacity. To work constructively with pupils and their parents is an art, a talent developed through experience. A teacher-manager in the primary classes must plan the actions, then achieve the goals set. The success is assured by the active involvement in children and school‟s life. The teacher-manager represents the link between the educational institution and the society.

The article highlights the essence of methodological support of industrial practice of students-interns of food profile, the main elements of this support, their role in forming readiness for future professional activity of specialists, in particular, the end-to-end program for organizing and conducting industrial practice of university students. The connection of industrial practice with theoretical training of students, the role of theoretical knowledge in the formation of generalized professional skills, the formation of which contributes to the readiness for future professional activity. The role of the head of practice from production and educational institution is revealed, methodical recommendations for heads of practice from the enterprise are offered.It is proved that the use of methodological support helps to increase the efficiency of organization and production practice of future food professionals. The scheme of methodical tools of the organization and carrying out industrial practice where the connection of all elements of methodical support is specified is made.In the course of the research such theoretical methods were used: analysis, synthesis, systematization and modeling for the purpose of generalization of theoretical materials, modeling of teaching aids and their possible application in the process of students-intern practice.Introduction and application in the process of industrial practice of methodical support promotes the formation of studentsʼ personal goal-setting, which involves the ability of the individual to determine the goals of their activities, the situational nature of learning, which is based on real production conditions; learning productivity, which consists in the creation of new previously unknown learning products, based on theoretical knowledge of food disciplines and the latest advances in science and technology. The article attempts to analyze the main ideas of Vasyl Sukhomlynsky’s educational work concerning the purpose, content and specific features of the organization of primary education in the Pavlysh School. Being aware of the significant role of primary education in the overall development of a child and the great experience of Sukhomlynsky in improving the quality of primary education, it is thus necessary to rethink his ideas in accordance with the new requirements of modern education. First of all, the purpose and tasks of primary education have been analyzed in accordance with Sukhomlynsky’s requirements. The views of the prominent educator on the importance of developing universal values, general learning skills and assimilation of basic knowledge which is necessary for successful further learning by younger schoolchildren have been outlined. The influence of the leading ideas of Sukhomlynsky – humane pedagogy, child-centrism and human studies – on the development of basic organizational principles of teaching in primary school has been determined. Sukhomlynsky’s ideas regarding the introduction of a diagnostic approach to conducting classes, confident achievement of positive learning results in the «school of joy», which was created by the educator, can significantly improve the quality of primary education. The influence of Sukhomlynsky’s ideas concerning the creation of learning environment of the educational institution, integration of school subjects through the introduction of outdoors lessons of thinking, and new approaches to the evaluation of educational achievements of younger students, on the quality of modern primary education have been characterized. The innovative teaching methods and techniques that were used by the teacher in the educational process of the Pavlysh School have been considered and can be effectively applied by primary school teachers. The article also proves that Sukhomlynsky’s ideas were way ahead of their time, and that the Ukrainian school reforming process is based on the best traditions of national pedagogy and education.

The games play a special role in rehabilitation practice. The positive emotions they cause in patients cannot be achieved by other methods and means of modern rehabilitation. The role of game playing activity in practice is crucial to the achievement of one of the important tasks in implementing rehabilitation measures, namely to evacuate the patient from the depressed mental state, to distract him from the disease process and to focus on mobilizing his healing powers. The mood, the emotional charge and the dynamics that the games create are particularly suited to awakening the patient's interest in the healing process, their attraction and their active involvement in the rehabilitation activities. The connection between the actions in the game and the movements in the analytical exercises accelerates the formation of motor habits, physical qualities and skills not only in children but also in adult patients with various pathological injuries. Rehabilitation games are suitable for all ages by enhancing the health of the occupants, developing their mental qualities, improving the activity of the vestibular, visual and motor analyzers. The basis of the motor movement training game methodology and the improvement of motor movement skills is the activation of the thought processes and emotional experiences, the development of the functions of the musculoskeletal system, the cardiovascular system and the respiratory system.

The precious possession of any educational institution worth its name is the treasure of knowledge and skills which it imparts to the educands in the hope that this very treasure proves to be valuable for them in every walk of life. The treasure of values serves as the springboard for determining the various aims of education. In fact, values act as the cornerstone of entire educational process whatsoever be the field. However, it is a matter of grave concern that the monetary value of education is escalating and its moral value is dwindling day by day. It won’t be an exaggeration to say that the real cause and worth of education are plummeting with each passing day. As per the current scenario, there is dire need of instilling moral and ethical values in all those who are related to the field of education and this necessitates the inclusion of value based education the prime onus of which lies on the shoulders of none other than the teacher who is undoubtedly the maker of a nation's destiny.The present paper reflects upon the significance and need of value education and also throws light on how can moral and ethical values be inculcated in students at various levels of education besides giving valuable suggestions pertaining to the use of same in the field of Teaching and Pre-service Teacher Education programme.

AbstractThis paper explores some of the factors that limit the effectiveness of Uganda’s mother tongue-based education policy, where instruction in lower primary classes is provided in the mother tongue. Using socio-cultural and ethnographic lenses, the paper draws from the experiences of a study implemented by a Ugandan NGO in one primary school in Arua district. Findings revealed weaknesses in implementation of the MTBE policy, highlighting deficiencies in the training of teachers, and lack of sensitization of local communities to the value of MTBE. The study also highlights the need for greater involvement of many kinds of stakeholder, and in particular, it focuses on how communities can be encouraged to work together with schools. A clearer understanding of what literacy involves, and how subjects can be taught in poorly-resourced communities, can be gained by considering the contribution of funds of local knowledge and modes of expression that build on local cultural resources. However, the strategies proposed are insufficient given the flawed model of primary education that the present MTBE policy embodies. A reenvisioning of how MTBE articulates with English-medium education is also needed. Substantial rethinking is needed to address target 4.6 of SDG 4 (UNDP, Transforming our world: The 2030 agenda for sustainable development. https://sustainabledevelopment.un.org/post2015/transformingourworld (accessed 30 November 2015), 2015) which aims to ensure that “all youth and a substantial proportion of adults achieve literacy and numeracy by 2030”.

The defining role of analytical research of personnel training processes for the transport industry is indicated. In particular, the possibility of using the vicious Knall’s circles to identify problems in the development of transport education is investigated. The traditional functionality of the Knall’s circles has been expanded to the study of the mechanisms of positive development of the research object. Two types of models for describing these processes are proposed and analyzed, taking into account both additive and multiplicative effects of development. Using concrete examples, the methodology for constructing various types of process models, selecting the optimal type of model and predicting development is shown. A systematic approach to the study of transport education is also proposed to be implemented using the tools of cenological analysis, which takes into account all participants in the personnel training system in the industry. The scientific and educational values of transport education allow us to determine the completeness and stability of the educational system, the direction of development (degradation, positive development of the system), the role and place of an individual educational institution in the personnel training system. The cytological study is illustrated by the example of the analysis of the results of the activities of branch railway universities. Scientific and educational self-regulating organizations for training specialists for the regional transport system are considered as one of the mechanisms for managing transport education. It is proposed to create self-regulating organizations of personnel training that regulate the activities of educational institutions, both among themselves and with consumers of educational services.

The article discusses one of the areas of the literary education of students in the initial stage of primary education: developing interest in reading. The timeliness and relevance of the problem treated determine the purpose of the study: based on international pedagogical experience, to define a model that increases the interest in reading within the competency-based approach, and highlight the role of motivation as a building element of this model. Analyses of the structure of motivation for reading, and the means of integration of cognitive processes and creativity when working with artistic text are done, being the aim to increase the motivation for reading of first to fourth grade students.

Why an individual prefer to become an entrepreneur and what factor motivated his intentions for becoming an entrepreneur is considered important question in entrepreneurship research. Entrepreneurial education is considered an important variable which effect on entrepreneurial intentions. However, empirical research results on entrepreneurial education and entrepreneurial intention yielded mixed results. To investigate further this question from developing countries perspective, this paper looks at the role of entrepreneurial education in developing the entrepreneurial intentions for becoming entrepreneur. The sample for this study composed of final year business students from Pakistan. The result of this study supports the entrepreneurial intentions model based on the theory of planned behavior. The results further suggested significant influence of entrepreneurial education on entrepreneurial intentions of the students. Moreover, this study results also showed that theoretical knowledge of entrepreneurship (know-what) and knowledge of social network development (know-who) component are vital for imparting entrepreneurial education.
