The age of adolescence represents few years of uncertainties and unknown in the development and evolution of a young people. In the search of his own identity, the adolescent needs symbols in order to access the unconscious personal resources. Working with metaphors in the process of counselling and psychotherapy facilitates new signification and sense for the adolescent that experience the most provocative period of his life. This article focuses on the benefits of using metaphorical techniques to improve emotional health in adolescents. We supposed that using a brief experiential metaphoric exercise (My own relaxation and recreation place) would allow the group members to improve their present emotional anxiety experience. The adolescents became more aware of their inner resources (such as tranquillity, calm, trust and hope) and needs. Present finding indicate the effects of expressive-creative methods on anxiety state. Using metaphor in the therapy of adolescents could be an important method to reduce the anxiety and to help them understand the role of their emotions in the process of personal development.

The work is related to the creation of new models of teaching and leads to new knowledge about processes and phenomena in pedagogical science. In our work we analyze both current educational and delicate ideological problem accompanied with scientific and practical application reliability. Identifying the specifics in the ethics of young people, verification of model work and approbation in educational work in Bulgarian language and literature is an important point of the overall personal development of young people. We use a theoretical framework that we draw from research, adapt and correct it according to the results of the experiment. The concept of the lesson is oriented towards the formation of competence. In the exhibition we present the capabilities of each of the tools for personal development; creativity and teamwork: communication via Internet; the role of the presentations and associative tasks; place the tools for effectiveness in the educational process. The implementation of the control unit tools plays an important role in reporting achievements and creativity. In conducting a productive dialogue with students, we take into account the role of the teacher's charisma by creating opportunities for trust, mutual understanding and respect for students in relation to the teacher. The conclusions from the conducted research are important and reveal the relevance and reliability of the applied methods and techniques in the literary-educational discourse.Students which are studying longer and using interactive methods and techniques, are providing more deep and reasoning answers. Their depth and analyticity depend on their participation in different forms of work, using both traditional methods and techniques, as well as interactive ones. The participants are placed in the same conditions and have the choice of participation. The positive role of creative education and development through the proposed model of literature learning has been taken into account. In conclusion based on our data we offer our understanding about the role of the work instruments in the educational process in Bulgarian language and literature students in terms of multiculturalism.

This paper develops the theme of youth education and training by following at least three fields of analysis, which are mutually interrelated. The training process, the role of educational agencies, and pedagogy will be investigated in light of a new interpretation of the image of young people and of the one of youth that is free from rhetoric and clichés. A close look will be taken to the characteristics of current anthropology trends, focusing on the impact that such categories as "fear" and "risk" exert on training processes. The ultimate aim of this investigation will be to outline the main traits of youth crisis from a pedagogical perspective in terms of a crisis of personal development and human fulfilment, which is even more important than professional fulfilment, and of the transformations affecting rational and non-rational dimensions of the person. By referring to the social condition and to the range of interpretive paradigms inherent in current epistemologies, the paper is aimedto findthe source of the demand that young people directly and indirectly express today also through non-verbal languages, alternative "signs" and "images" that do not fall within the traditional pedagogical canon. The function of pedagogy will therefore be redefined both in theory and in practice on the basis of the need to understand the real human reality, thus interpreting its needs. At the same time, the educational operariwill be re-thought, so as to ensure that in today's reflective democracies the purpose regarded by Raffaele Laporta as the "educational absolute" is achieved. This coincides with authentic freedom, with the most accomplished form of humanization and with the highest level of personal existence, identified as essential conditions for the freedom of learning that corresponds to the freedom of life.

Researchers in the teaching of modern global history generally focus on historical issues that have reshaped our world, including decolonization, social democracies, revolutions, terrorism, religions, competition in labour markets and the role of superpowers. This article attempts to explore global study through which young people may understand both the outside world and themselves. The aim is to reframe the way in which history is taught in schools, seeing it as part of the whole curriculum that makes a contribution to both the values of personal development and to citizenship with a focus on the world's history. History needs to develop a political intelligence through teaching global history. Based upon the paper's theoretical framework, curriculum developers can create global history syllabuses and pedagogies.

AbstractWhitehouse adapts insights from evolutionary anthropology to interpret extreme self-sacrifice through the concept of identity fusion. The model neglects the role of normative systems in shaping behaviors, especially in relation to violent extremism. In peaceful groups, increasing fusion will actually decrease extremism. Groups collectively appraise threats and opportunities, actively debate action options, and rarely choose violence toward self or others.

The purpose and tasks of the work are to analyze the contemporary Ukrainian mass culture in terms of its value and humanistic components, as well as the importance of cultural studies and Ukrainian studies in educational disciplines for the formation of a holistic worldview of modern youth.Analysis of research and publications. Scientists repeatedly turned to the problems of the role of spirituality in the formation of society and its culture. This problem is highlighted in the publications by O. Losev, V. Lytvyn, D. Likhachev, S. Avierintsev, M. Zakovych, I. Stepanenko and E. Kostyshyn.Experts see the main negative impact of mass culture on the quality approach, which determines mass culture through the market, because mass culture, from our point of view, is everything that is sold and used in mass demand. One of the most interesting studies on this issue was the work by the representatives of Frankfurt School M. Horkheimer and T. Adorno «Dialectics of Enlightenment» (1947), devoted to a detailed analysis of mass culture. Propaganda at all socio-cultural levels in the form is similar in both totalitarian and democratic countries. It is connected, according to the authors, with the direction of European enlightenment. The tendency to unify people is a manifestation of the influence of mass culture, from cinema to pop. Mass culture is a phenomenon whose existence is associated with commerce (accumulation in any form – this is the main feature of education), in general, the fact that it exists in this form is related to the direction of the history of civilization.Modern mass culture, with its externally attractive and easily assimilated ideas and symbols, appealing to the trends of modern fashion, becomes a standard of prestigious consumption, does not require intense reflection, allows you to relax, distract, not teach, but entertains, preaches hedonism as the main spiritual value. And as a consequence, there are socio-cultural risks: an active rejection of other people, which leads to the formation of indifference; cruelty as a character trait; increase of violent and mercenary crime; increase in the number of alcohol and drug addicts; anti-patriotism; indifference to the values of the family and as a result of social orphanhood and prostitution. Conclusions, perspectives of research. Thus, we can conclude that modern Ukrainian education is predominantly formed by the values of mass culture. Namely, according to the «Dialectic» by Horkheimer and Adorno, «semi-enlightenment becomes an objective spirit» of our modern society. It is concluded that only high-quality education can create the opposite of the onset of mass culture and the destruction of spirituality in our society. It is proved that only by realizing the importance of cultivating disciplines in the educational process and the spiritual upbringing of the nation, through educational reforms, humanitarian knowledge will gradually return to student audiences.Formation of youth occurs under the influence of social environment, culture, education and self-education. The optimal combination of these factors determines both the process of socialization itself and how successful it will be. In this context, one can see the leading role of education and upbringing. It turns out that the main task of modern education is to spread its influence on the development of spiritual culture of the individual, which eventually becomes a solid foundation for the formation of the individual. Such a subject requires both philosophical and humanitarian approaches in further integrated interdisciplinary research, since the availability of such research will provide the theoretical foundation for truly modern educational and personal development.

Summary One cannot write about the relationship of young people and current sports stars in modern society without having previously studied the processes of mediation and globalisation of sport, and the transformation of traditional social values. The goal of the science and practice engaged in sports and education of young people is a constant quest for preserving universal ethical values and reconciling them with the modern-day social processes. This paper will present the result of a survey conducted with adolescents in five different Serbian cities in order to find the answer to the question if sportspersons were their favourite television role-models. According to the results of our survey, 45% of adolescents do not have a favourite TV personality and do not know for sure who that could be. Novak Đoković, who would be the choice of adults for a role model of the young, with 63.2% according to the survey conducted by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, scored 3.81% in our survey with adolescents who would chose Novak Đoković as their favourite TV personality. The necessity of raising media literacy of young people with the aim of clear identification of sports role models who are going to improve their quality of life still remains an open issue for further research on this course.
