Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the determinants of labour demand, a case of Mogadishu City, Somalia.Methodology: The paper employed desktop methodology, which involved review of existing literature relating to the study topic. The design involves a review of existing studies relating to the research topic. Results: Based on the findings the study identified cost as a key determinant of labour demand, especially, in the formal sector. Previous studies indicate that most firms demand for cheap labour. The study also identified education as an important determinant of demand for labour in the World. Owing to the increasing global competitiveness, firms demand for highly skilled and competent workforce. Unfortunately, majority of workforce in developing countries such as Somalia do not have the right skills and competence.  Further,  the study concluded that a country with a stable economic growth enjoys high demand for labour. This is because the available workforce is skilled and competent enough.  However, in developing countries such as Somalia, the demand for labour is very low. Somalia has experienced long period of economic slowdown, and this has affected the quality of workforce.Unique contribution to theory, practice and policy: Based on the study findings the study recommends that the federal government of Somalia should adopt measures to regulate labour cost. The study also recommends that the government should adopt more measures to promote education. The study further recommends for international interventions to ensure that Somalia’s economy gets back on its fit. Stable economic growth will lead to increased demand for labour.

The recent crisis in Turkey has been described primarily as a political crisis caused by an unworkable political system under attack from organized terrorism from both the right and the left. While this may be valid as an immediate cause, there are some structural and ideological contradictions in the Turkish economic system which must also be highlighted. These contradictions have evolved gradually over the last half century in the course of Turkey's efforts to achieve industrial and economic growth. They have been exacerbated in particular by a process of lopsided industrialization after 1960 which, as in most other developing countries, has resulted in increased poverty and unemployment while achieving overall growth rates of 6 percent or better.

The impact of fiscal federalism on economic performance has largely been studied in the developed world since the seminal work of Oates. In this article, we focus on a particular set of developing countries considered to be federal (Forum of Federations), to examine how fiscal decentralization has impacted their economic growth. In this context, we study the impact of tax revenue and expenditure decentralization on economic growth in developing federations. For this purpose, a panel data of 15 developing federations from 2000 to 2015 are analyzed by using a two-step system Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) estimation method. The results show that in federal developing countries, both tax revenue and expenditure decentralization have a significant, positive impact on economic growth. What is more, our findings show that the impact of fiscal decentralization on economic growth depends upon the level of perceived corruption and on the quality of the country’s institutions. Thus, empirical evidence depicts that the positive effect of fiscal decentralization on economic growth is tempered if the country is plagued with corruption, if it has weak institutions, and/or if it suffers from political instability. By contrast, a relatively corruption-free country featuring healthy institutions and a stable political environment could take fuller advantage of the effects of fiscal decentralization to improve economic growth.

In 1995 the Republic of Korea (ROK) was officially admitted to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). This organisation groups together industrially developed countries of the world. Recently, the World Bank has also released a study of China that predicts that China is going to become the second biggest economy in the next fifteen years if its economic growth follows the pattern of the last fifteen years. ROK is the only country from among the developing countries to join the ranks of the developed industrialised countries in the last thirty years. However, it is still a small country compared to China. Hence when China completes its transformation into an industrialised country the whole world will be affected.

A multitude of writings have appeared since the 1970s describing how societies have undergone “information revolutions” (Bell, 1973; Castells, 1998; Masuda, 1981), “the third wave” (Toffler, 1980), etc. Indeed, ICT development has been explosive in both developed and developing countries since the 1990s. This, in turn, has given some countries an opportunity for bigger economic growth; attempts have been made in a majority of countries to rearrange the organization of the public sector, and individuals have experienced a rise in the quality of life due to the introduction of new technologies.

Access to the essential medicines is an important challenge in the developing countries. To have access to the quality and affordable medicines, the pharmaceutical decision makers try different strategies. The production of generic and copy medicines is one of the strategies that if adopted based on the recognized standards and norms can be effective in raising the health status in the developing countries. However, the regulation enfeeblement has somewhat impaired the quality of generic and copy medicines and harmed the health life of consumers. Here we aim to reflect over the role of different beneficiaries including international organizations, governments, pharmaceutical companies, and NGOs in ensuring the feasible and sustainable access of citizens to the essential medicines. We also aim to highlight the importance of the patient status in the enhancement of the medical delivery.

The objective of our work is to show the importance of a healthy institutional framework in the finance-growth relation. In this context, we start by presenting, a theoretical lighting on this subject while trying to define the concept of the governorship and to determine its various measurements. Then, we empirically test a model of growth of Solow increased by the human capital, treating relation between financial development, institutions and economic growth. The various estimates were made by Panel data Methods over the period of 1990 to 2006 for 22 developing countries. Following these estimates, it seems that the quality of the institutions is regarded as an important factor which must not be neglected in the study of the relation between the financial sphere and the real sphere.

Recommendation system (RS) help user for purchasing the right product of their interest within the affordable right price. Presently many RS make use of only filtering methods to recommend products to the user which is not taking care of the quality of products. Quality of products can be found from textual reviews available on various e-commerce websites and hence this RS performs Sentiment Analysis (SA)of extracted relevant textual reviews along with Collaborative Filtering (CF) to give accurate and good quality recommendations to the user. Reviews are analyzed using optimized Artificial Neural Network (ANN) which shows notified improvement than traditional ANN on real-time extracted data of reviews.CF performance is proved by using the standard dataset of movilense used in many research papers. Results show high recall and accuracy of CF for the recommendation of products to the target user.

Since the late 1980s there has been a global rethinking of the human impact on the environment. This led to the emergence of various theories emphasizing environmental stewardship while maintaining a sustainable rate of economic growth. These theories are called the concept of sustainable development. The ecological component of sustainable development emphasizes a frugal attitude to the ecosystem, «green» technologies as the basis for innovative growth and protection of the right of future generations to the quality of the environment. Most developed countries already emphasize the development of such "green" technologies as hydropower, wind power, solar and bioenergy, and geothermal energy. Due to the growing demand of countries for energy resources, it is the development of "green" energy that can become a key point of economic growth of the national economy without harming the environment.
