Abstract: The aim of this study was to analyze the variables that define the goal pattern in the categories of the Second Division B and First Division of futsal, and significant differences are observed between a professional category and a semi-professional one. A total of 840 goals belonging to the 2016/2017 season have been analyzed. The method used has been an observational methodology through Longomatch software. The results are presented in the descriptive statistics of means, standard deviations and percentages. There are significant differences in both categories in relation to the goals conceded by goal zone 2 (p=.045) and in the rapid goal goalkeeper position, positional attack or own goal (p=.032). There were also differences in the number of players involved for 4 (p=.000) and 5 players (p=.002). On the other hand, no significant changes were detected in the variables "field zone", "game time" and "contact surface". Knowing in depth the variables most used by players to produce a goal, will allow our athletes to offer a more effective training methodology according to the intended objective.

Abstract The main objective of this research was to delve into the concept of playing handball at home from a classical perspective of previous studies. The emergence of regularities or certain patterns of play can be explained by the location of matches. Through an observational methodology and a nomothetic, monitoring and multidimensional design, thirty-nine European elite handball matches were selected (N = 39). A mixed ‘ad hoc’ registration system was designed. Records were made of the last three minutes of home and visiting games of which images were available. Two observers with observational methodology experience participated in the study. The quality of the records was dealt with in an intraobserver and interobserver way. Two different techniques were applied for the treatment of the data: a) detection of behavioral patterns by Theme (p < .005) (Magnusson, 2000) and b) Chaid decision trees (p < .05) using SPSSv.24. The results showed the existence of T-patterns according to the location (different T-patterns: home: 1085; away: 1242) of the matches. The categories most involved in effective launches were unveiled. On the other hand, the Chaid model also showed the effect of location (p < .001): home-win (node 9) (n = 149, 69%), away-win (node 10) (n = 15, 16%) in handball. Crossing analysis offered enriched interpretations to advance in the home advantage concept. From this study, guidelines can be drawn that may help handball coaches to build training tasks as differences in behavioral patterns between home or away play in handball were identified. Thus, designing tasks considering a match location has requires specificity.

The aim of this paper is to present Greek daily descriptive statistics on confirmed deaths due to COVID-19, the days of lockdown and their effect on the number of deaths, the outcomes of vaccinations and the influence of weather temperatures. Do lockdowns work in bringing the number of deaths down? The descriptive evidence shows that this is the case even though there is a considerable lagged effect. On the other hand, vaccinations, during the time period of examination, do not seem to have diminished the number of deaths, but the reason might be that it takes time for their full effect to occur. Finally, this paper also examines the hypothesis that during the summer months the daily deaths from COVID-19 are relatively lower than during the winter months. Using average daily weather temperatures, this hypothesis cannot be falsified. Simple calculations of the functional relation between weather temperatures and deaths show that temperatures above 28.5 degrees Celsius (°C) were associated with zero deaths. Keywords: COVID-19, deaths, Greece, lockdown, pandemic, vaccinations, weather temperatures

The research evaluates the performance of the services provided by the Nivea Mangabeira Space Salon, located in the Redenção district of Manaus City, capital of Amazonas. To this end, for 20 days in November 2019, a questionnaire was applied to 50 clients, containing twenty items referring to the five quality dimensions: Tangible Aspects, Reliability, Responsibility, Assurance, and Empathy. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and after analyzing the results, it was concluded that empathy is the best performing dimension, indicating that professionals have a great relationship with clients and that they feel very well treated. On the other hand, the Tangible Aspects dimension had the lowest performance, even though the hall structure being considered good, it can be improved. Suggested improvements by respondents include parking, a wider place, offering snacks, courtesies or promotions for birthday people, always having coffee, doing micro-pigmentation wire-to-wire and hiring more professionals for the most demanding days. As for management, it is recommended that managers pursue improvement courses in small and medium business administration at SEBRAE-AM, CETAM or in another establishment, to professionalize its management, leaving a small family-based company to maybe become a national franchise.

Putting together work operations minimizes the number of machine passes across the plot, which helps to reduce negative soil compaction and to save fuels. However, the combination of working operations also reflects in the increased weight of machines, which – on the other hand – can result exactly in soil compaction. This is why the potential adverse phenomenon can be compensated by using tyres with a larger contact surface with the base. In the case of sowing root crops, some problems may appear with the application of these tyres as a certain part of the stand has been sown in their track. The paper brings an assessment of the possibility to use twin assembly tyres on the tractor model Fendt 822 and on the sowing drill model Monosem NG plus with 18 drilling mechanisms. Parameters to be assessed were soil compaction, and the development of plants sown inside and outside the tractor track. Although the degree of soil compaction was higher in the tractor track, the biological characteristic of plants including yield reached more favourable criteria of assessment. The situation paradoxically resulted from the creation of more favourable moisture conditions in the soil.

AbstractIoannidis et al. provided a science-wide database of author citations. The data offers an opportunity to researchers in a field to compare the citation behavior of their field with others. In this paper, we conduct a systematic analysis of citations describing the situation in software engineering and compare it with the fields included in the data provided by Ioannidis et al. For comparison, we take the measures used by Ioannidis into consideration. We also report the top-scientists and investigate software engineering researchers’ activities in other fields. The data was obtained and provided by Ioannidis et al. based on the Scopus database. Our method for analysis focuses on descriptive statistics. We compared software engineering with other fields and reported demographic information for the top authors. The analysis was done without any modifications to the ranking. In the later analysis, we observed that 37% of researchers listed as software engineers were not in the software engineering field. On the other hand, the database included a large portion of top authors (ca. 60% to 80%) identified in other software engineering rankings. Other fields using the database are advised to review the author lists for their fields. Our research’s main risk was that researchers are listed that do not belong to our studied field.

ABSTRACTFor Co salicide process, a TiN cap layer is widely used to prevent oxidation of Co layers during silicidation by RTA. In this study, N2/H2 mixture ambient is used to eliminate the need for the TiN cap layer. The sheet resistance for the sample fabricated by N2 RTA without TiN cap layer shows large standard deviations for narrow N+ diffusion layers and shows 20% higher values and large standard deviations for P+ diffusion layers. On the other hand, the samples with N2/H2 RTA provides the same low and stable sheet resistance as those of the samples with TiN cap layer. XPS analysis shows that N2/H2 RTA suppresses oxidation of Co during the 1st RTA because of reduction by H2. B impurity in PMOS regions is known to retard silicidation of Co at 500°C. The retardation of silicidation seems to enhance oxidation of Co in PMOS regions by residual oxygen in the RTA chamber.
