Investing in university education has spread widely in Palestine and all counties around the world. ‎This is due to several causes, such as the enormous increase in the number of students, and the ‎growth in the number of students with various academic degrees, which resulted in increasing the ‎number of public and private universities, in addition to the institutes specialized in various ‎professional studies. Many of these universities seek to develop and raise their educational ‎competencies. Therefore, they started resorting to the so-called networking between universities. ‎Consequently, the study aimed to identify the reality of networking processes between universities ‎from the point of view of the teaching staff in the universities of Jerusalem and the West Bank. The ‎study also aims to point out the reality of teaching and academic exchange, the scientific research, ‎community service and the continued education from the point of view of the teaching staff in the ‎universities of Jerusalem and the West Bank. Also, it seeks to uncover the differences in the ‎networking processes between universities from the viewpoint of the teaching staff in the ‎universities of Jerusalem and the West Bank, according to the variables of gender, academic ‎qualification, years of experience, and university. ‎ To achieve the objectives of this study, the researcher used the analytical descriptive ‎approach, in addition to a questionnaire consisted of (35) paragraphs distributed over three fields: ‎teaching and academic exchange, scientific research, community service and continued education. ‎The validity and stability of the questionnaire had been confirmed. The questionnaire is distributed ‎over a sample from the faculty that were chosen randomly from the universities of Jerusalem ‎‎(Sakhnin, Al-Qasimi, Ono, David Yellen) and the West Bank (Arab American University, An-Najah ‎National University, Birzeit, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Al-Ahliyya Palestine, Al-Quds Open, Hebron), ‎numbering (200) individuals. After collecting the data, it was analysed through processing it ‎statistically by (SPSS). ‎ The results of the study indicated that the reality of teaching, academic exchange, scientific ‎research, community service and continuing education from the point of view of the teaching staff ‎in the universities of Jerusalem and the West Bank has come to a large extent. The results also ‎revealed that there were no statistically significant differences in the degree of reality of networking ‎operations between universities from the point of view of the teaching staff in the universities of ‎Jerusalem and the West Bank according to the variable of gender, academic qualification and years ‎of experience. However, the results indicated that there were differences according to the ‎differences among the universities‎‎.

Pedagogy, basic research, community service. These three phrases have rolled out of my pen time and time again, as 1 described successful and satisfying projects that have met all three goals. With this article we would like to discuss the limits of community-university collaboration in a certain kind of community service. Students and 1 have been engaged in various projects—collecting oral histories for a county's museum, interviewing retired coal miners to learn about the place of religion in their lives for a Coal Mining Heritage Association—that were very satisfying to all concerned. They were also innocuous from a power point of view. There was no power establishment fighting back.

This study aims at identifying the role of social studies curricula in enhancing the concept of national belonging among students from the perspective of teachers in the northern Governorates of the West Bank. The analytical descriptive method is used in the study. Moreover, a questionnaire has been distributed randomly to 100 of the social studies teachers in the northern Governorates of the West Bank. The results of the questionnaire have been compiled, encoded and processed statistically using the program of Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The results of the study show that the role of social studies curricula in enhancing the national belonging among students, from the perspective of social studies teachers, were weak according to the arithmetic average that has reached (2.25). Furthermore, the results indicate that there have been no differences in the views of teachers, regarding the topic of the social studies curricula, depending on the various variables such as sex, place of residence, academic qualification, and years of experience. The researcher recommends strengthening the national belonging by activating volunteering among students, celebrating national events inside and outside the school, and creating awareness of the national events within the students by transforming national days from ordinary days to occasions commemorated by them, in addition to acquiring media coverage. Consequently, there is a strong necessity to prepare pre-service teachers and train them for teaching in order to be able to raise students' awareness of the national belonging. In addition, graduate students will become more enlightened and thoughtful.

U.S. President Donald Trump declared his long-awaited and debated Middle East ‘peace plan,’ the so-called ‘deal of the century,’ in January 2020, standing alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He promised to keep Jerusalem as Israel's undivided and united capital with recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the West Bank. With regards to al-Aqsa Mosque, the plan puts forth the Zionist prospect and point of view, while undermining the Islamic importance of the area. It reduces the area of al-Aqsa Mosque to one single building of the Mosque’s compound and in practical terms, it intends that the whole area of al-Aqsa Mosque (al-Haram al-Sharif) be transformed to allow open access for prayer for visitors of all faiths and thus to end Muslim control over the site of one of Islam’s holiest mosques. The plan would, in practice, lead to three main changes that would undo the centuries-old status quo completely: the transfer of the site to Israeli sovereignty, the repealing of Jordan's apparent custodianship over it, and the expiry of the ban on non-Muslim prayer. This, in turn, would give Israel full control over the site of al-Aqsa Mosque compound, something it could not achieve during the 1967 occupation of the city. Such changes would not only mean that Muslims lose further access to their mosque, but would also allow people of other faiths, particularly Jews, to share the site with Muslims in preparation for a full Jewish monopoly over the site and the building of a Jewish temple on its site.

Journal of Scientific Research EDITORIAL Do we need a new journal? The answer lies in the fact that currently no international journal (online and print) with interdisciplinary character which specifically caters to the academic needs of the international community operates from Bangladesh. This journal aims to fill this lacuna and to be a bridge for the scientists from the east and the west. This is the first issue of the Journal of Scientific Research (JSR). The idea of launching a journal that hopes to publish quality scientific works was planted in early 2008 during a science faculty meeting at Rajshahi University. Now it is our pleasure to see the idea blossom into the first issue of first volume (1 January 2009) that contains scientific work not only of Asian regions but of much beyond that. The inaugural issue indicates the type of journal we hope to become. It is wide ranging and interdisciplinary. Our contributors include scholars at every stage of their academic career. As regards editorial policy and scope the Journal of Scientific Research is a peer-reviewed international journal originally intended for publication annually. But due to a satisfactory flow of manuscripts since the first announcements the publication frequency has now been increased to 3 online issues (one print volume) per year. The journal is a unifying force, going across the barriers between disciplines, addressing all related topics and materials. An international Editorial Board (along with an Advisory Board) comprising of renowned academics from various fields guides our editorial policy and direction. The journal is devoted to the publication of original research (research paper, review paper, short communication) covering the following fields:Section A:  Physical and Mathematical Sciences: Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Geophysics, Computer, Environmental Science, Communications and Information Technology, Engineering and related branches.Section B:  Chemical and Biological Sciences: Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, Genetics, Fisheries and related branches. The articles selected for the first issue have been reviewed by two discipline-specialists, and their recommendations have been appropriately incorporated. Submissions from the world research community are encouraged to fulfill our mission and aim for the journal to stand for the international scientific publishing standards.    It was clear during the planning and development of this first issue that the Asian region needs a forum through which research could be shared and acknowledged. I hope that this journal will soon be recognised by the wider research community as their forum for the dissemination of knowledge. We hope that the journal will not simply act as a place for publication of material, though obviously this is important, but should act as a catalyst for the advancement of science both within and outside the region. The journal is being published both online and in print. Online publishing, unique in nature, is faster and far less expensive than traditional hard copy publishing. Access of online journals is easier and better images, storage and multimedia are other advantages. I must thank the International Network for the availability of Scientific Publications (INASP) for helping us publish via BanglaJOL – and the help of Ms. Sioux Cumming in this regard is worthy of mention. The success of a journal depends on the quality of its Editorial Board and the reviewers. The effort that I have seen from them speaks well for the future of the new born journal.  Both the Editorial and Advisory Boards should deserve thanks for their indispensable advice and support during the planning phases of the journal. I should also thank the reviewers who contributed their valuable time to complete reviews within a reasonable time. I truly hope that the diversity contained in this first issue of the journal will be the hallmark of future issues. A K M A Islam email: [email protected]  website: www.banglajol.info/index.php/JSR           © 2009 JSR Publications.
