Progress in information technology that is so fast is expected to improve the quality of education in Indonesia. In the world of information technology education can help and support the learning process. Especially now all the learning process activities can be done online. Progress in information technology must also be supported by quality human resources. In this case the teacher is very instrumental in the utilization of information technology in the world of education. Because the teacher is one of the education supervisors who will encourage the advancement of the quality of education in Indonesia. But in reality the quality of teachers in Indonesia is inadequate. There are still many teachers who cannot use information technology in learning especially for teachers who are senior or old. As teacher supervisors, they must improve the quality of their performance in using technology. To improve the ability of teachers to use technology, ongoing training is needed to use technology. The role of the head of the school as a supervisor is also needed, namely the principal is obliged to supervise, control, and approach the teacher in terms of the use of technology in the learning process.

Constructivism allows the student to build knowledge and learning on his own. Through the discovery, experimentation, and tests, the student tries to consolidate the learning objects. Τhis chapter approaches constructivism through the use of methods used by information technology. An advantage of IT tools is the interaction that turns the teaching into experiential and experimental where the student tries to evaluate and improve his abilities. Methods such as robotics, interactive television, and the use of the internet provide forms of interactive learning based on the methodology of game-based learning, which contribute to constructivism. In this chapter, once the construction and importance in education and especially in IT is presented, the importance of game-based learning and video games is presented. The authors show the role of robotics and the internet in relation to the interaction they offer, and also the role of interactive television in the educational process from the point of view of constructivism.

Penetration of information technology (IT) in almost every sector of the Indian economy is occurring at a very rapid pace. This has brought about a great transformation from a paper world to a digital world. Employees face new technological changes in their workplace almost every day. Some employees welcome the changes brought about by technology while others resist it and become defensive. These differences in employees’ reactions are influenced by a host of moderating variables existing in the environment. For the purpose of the present study, the researchers have adopted three moderating variables, namely, age, gender and experience (from the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology [UTUAT] model of Venkatesh, Morris, Davis, and Davis (2003, MIS Quarterly, 27, 3, 425–478). Hence, the article attempts to study the influence of the aforementioned moderating variables on the employees’ acceptance of IT at their workplace. The study has been conducted in the post offices falling under the Nalbari-Barpeta division of the Assam postal circle. The study is based on both the primary and secondary data.

Increasingly, academic research in Information Technologies and Systems (ITS) is emphasizing the application of research models and theories to practice. In this chapter, the authors posit that case-based research has a significant role to play in the future of research in ITS because of its ability to generate knowledge from practice and to study a problem in context. Understanding context—social, organizational, political, and cultural—is mandatory to learning and effectively adopting best practices. The authors describe some examples of case-based research to highlight this point of view. They further identify key topics and themes based on examining the abstracts from prominent case-based research over the past decade, analyzing their trends, and hypothesizing what the role of case-based research will be in the coming decades.
