Modern society has plunged us into a maelstrom of telematics information with little control. Teachers from any field must be trained in order to pass on the confidence and values to withstand this media pressure to their students. To this end, one of the areas of knowledge on which greater emphasis should be placed is that related to emotional intelligence. The study reported on here focused on this type of knowledge among professional music studies teachers in conservatories, asking what the perception of this group on the aforementioned area of knowledge is and to what extent it has been received during their initial training. For this investigation we used a quantitative methodological approach, and via descriptive analysis, a non-parametric Wilcoxon signed-rank test, and inferential analysis, we found significant differences regarding the two scales considered: level of agreement and emotional intelligence training received. Furthermore, regarding the descriptive variables, significant differences were also found through the application of the Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal-Wallis test.

The Covid-19 outbreak provided surprises and also provided challenges for various educational institutions, including universities. The government has banned universities from conducting face-to-face lectures. The government has issued a policy for implementing temporary courses online (Ministry of Education and Culture Dikti Circular No.1 2020). All universities are required to be able to conduct online or online learning. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of online lectures during the Covid-19 Pandemic for UAD Wates. This research method uses descriptive analysis method through a survey with a google form questionnaire which is conducted online. The sample in this study were students of UAD Wates class of 2017, 2018, and 2020. The respondents in this study were 15 respondents. The effectiveness of online lectures during the Covid-19 Pandemic for students at UAD Wates was quite effective in preventing the transmission of the Covid-19 virus. However, the results of the study also show that online lectures have not been running effectively, because there are still lecturers who do not conduct online lectures. The learning method used is still dominant with assigning assignments to students so that many students are overwhelmed in doing coursework.

The dynamic assessment concept dates back to the sociocultural understating of Vygotsky. Dynamic assessment is a new perspective that combines instruction and assessment procedures while assessing students. In a more recent perspective, computerized dynamic assessment provides electronic mediations to the students when the wrong answer emerges. In this regard, C-DA offers an inclusive way of assessment. This study aims to investigate the effect of C-DA on the reading comprehension performances of the students. To achieve this goal, the C-DA application was implemented for 92 participants, and their performances were recorded. After the implementation, the actual, mediated, and learner potential scores of participants were calculated and then tabulated to the SPSS program. Wilcoxon signed-rank and descriptive analysis were used to analyze the results. The findings of the Wilcoxon signed-rank test revealed that there was a statistically significant difference between the actual and mediated scores of students.

Abstract Introduction With increased litigation and media attention around the consent process it is vital we ensure patients understand what their operation entails prior to surgery. North Bristol Trust has recently started using EIDO consent leaflets; currently used in 50% of NHS hospitals . Our aim was to calculate how many patients received EIDO healthcare consent leaflets and whether this affected their experience of the consent process. Method Questionnaires made up of Likert scale and open ended questions were distributed to patients undergoing Upper GI surgery on the day of their operation. The questionnaire explored whether patients received an EIDO leaflet pre-operatively, their understanding of the risks and benefits and their satisfaction with the consent process. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test was used to compare responses from the included patients. Results 12 patients received EIDO leaflets during their pre-operative consultation, six did not. Compared with those that did not, patients who received a leaflet had a better understanding of the risks (p = 0.002), benefits (p = 0.008) and details of the operation (p = 0.005) and were happier with the consent process (p = 0.02). Conclusion Including EIDO leaflets in the consent process helps ensure patients making an informed decision and improves the smooth running of theatre lists. We are currently introducing EIDO consent leaflets throughout general surgery for emergency operations and when sending out dates of elective operations. We aim to review the use of these leaflets as the consent process becomes increasingly difficult due to COVID 19 and the lack of face to face interaction.

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an effect of using Guided Discovery-based Trigonometry LKM on student learning outcomes in Trigonometry lectures even semester 2019/2020. This research is a quasi-experimental research with 8 students who teach trigonometry as a research subject. The design in this study used a one-group pretest-posttest design. The instrument used in this study was a test of learning outcomes consisting of pretest and posttest. The data analysis technique used was descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The data were processed using SPSS 22. Based on the results of the descriptive analysis of student learning outcomes after the lecture using the Guided Discovery-based Trigonometry LKM was better than before using the Guided Discovery-based Trigonometry LKM. The average post-test learning outcome was 90.75 while the average learning outcome pretest of 28.75. As seen here there is an average increase of 62.00. While the results of inferential statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test obtained the value of Z count > Z table, namely -2.524 > -1.96, which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Meanwhile, based on the results of comparing the probability values, the Asymp value is obtained. Sig. (2-tailed) < the alpha value of 0.012 < 0.05 which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that there is a difference in the average results of students who use Guided Discovery-based Trigonometry LKM and students who do not use Guided Discovery-based Trigonometry LKM. That is, there is an effect of using Guided Discovery-based Trigonometry LKM on student learning outcomes.
