The article presents the design and research work of the authors and first-year architecture students of Irkutsk National Research Technical University concerning compositional study of lost temples of Irkutsk with the reconstruction of their architectural appearance. The illustrative material was prepared using the students’ works. The complex of Siberian Baroque temples in Irkutsk in the mid-18th – late 19th centuries and various types of church buildings were studied. The work uses modeling as a tool for predicting the architectural appearance of the temple. Sketch drawings and models of the Miracle-Working, Tikhvinsky and Annunciation temples were completed, and the model of the evolution of Siberian Baroque temples was recreated. The main stages of the term project, from building functional, planning and volumetric models to designing image and structural characteristics of the object on the sample board, were presented.

The study aimed to analyze the reality of e-learning at Palestine Technical University-Khudouri/Tulkarem, and to identify the most important challenges facing students when using the education system, as well as to analyze the extent to which university students interact with the e-learning system, and to show the differences between the average opinions of the study sample on e-learning according to the study variables due to the nature of the study, the descriptive analytical approach was used, in order to reach practical results, and to achieve and analyze the reality of e-learning  a questionnaire consisting of (34) paragraphs was designed, where the study community consisted of (6,559) students, and a simple random sample of (522) students was taken, and the questionnaire was distributed electronically because it was not able to be distributed manually due to the prevailing conditions _ the spread of the Corona pandemic- at the time of the preparation of the study. The results of the study showed that (63.136%) of the researched believe that the reality of e-learning at the university suffers from different problems. The study indicated that (87.97%) among respondents, complaints have increased in the e-learning system after the Corona pandemic and that (81.36%) among the researchers, the infrastructure was one of the most barriers in e-learning. While (63.934%)of the researched that e-learning has a role to play in achieving Interaction among students, as the results of the study showed no differences Statistically significant to the reality of e-learning according to the gender variable, and there are no differences depending on the variable of the scientific qualification except in the field of e-learning reality, there are also no differences Statistics according to the variable of the academic level ,except for the field of Interaction with students. In the light of the results of the study, a series of recommendations were made, the most prominent of which were: 1.Include an e-learning system item in The computer course assigned as a university requirement for first-year students 2. Provide opportunities to train and develop the capabilities of all educational parties to use and apply E-learning.

The contribution provides information about the development of a system for visualization of NPP severe accident progress. This visualization is under development in cooperation of UJV Rez, a.s. and Czech Technical University in Prague. The project is supported by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic and is planned to be solved from 2015 to 2017. The visualization uses results of an analytical code MELCOR for evaluation of the NPP severe accident progress. The visualization firstly reads MELCOR results, transforms them to a suitable format for quick processing and provides graphical screens with reactor components that could demonstrate the progress of the evaluated severe accident. The visualization can even provide parallel presentation of more different scenarios of the severe accident. The system is planned to be used for training of NPP staff to handle severe accidents. In the first year of the project solution (2015), the software for MELCOR data transformation, next for providing information about transformed data were developed. In the following year (2016), software for creation of graphical screens with reactor components and software for severe accident progress presentation is creating. In the final year of the project (2017), thorough testing is going to be carried out, and the applicability of the visualization for a practical use during a NPP staff training is going to be verified.


The article is devoted to the problem of interaction between a teacher and a student of musical education in the process of distance learning. The main tasks facing each teacher during the quarantine period are outlined, and the preference is given to the ability to master the techniques of conducting online music lessons using various Internet resources or platforms for maintaining feedback. The author gives examples of online piano lessons, which took place individually with each student in a convenient mode for them. Attention is drawn to the problems that arose during the implementation of team tasks. Particular attention is paid to the research work of applicants, which ensured their continuous participation in scientific activities throughout the distance learning. The result was the performance of a first-year student at an online conference of the piano department with a report on the peculiarities of the reproduction of the artistic image in a musical work, which ended with the performance of an instrumental lyric piece. The research work provides an opportunity to show analytical abilities, observation, concentration, flexibility of thinking, which helps student musicians to acquire skills of independent work for future professional activity, promotes the development and formation of their personal qualities. The proposed study focuses on the peculiarities of interaction between the subjects of distance education who took an active part in prestigious international competitions and festivals in the category of instrumental art, which were held online. The specifics of work on musical pieces are revealed, the main difficulty of which is the true reproduction of artistic images.

This research work aims to study the influence of the fabrics in the wear performance of clothing. For this, an experimental work was developed with two fabric samples having the same weight/m2, one single and another double, and a jacket prototype. Through a comparative analysis of the mechanical properties, very interesting results was obtained in the evaluation and characterization of the two fabrics performance in designing the same jacket, namely the drape and the corresponded aesthetic fabrics behaviours during wear. The structural characteristics and mechanical properties of each fabric were introduced into Marvelous Designer Version 8 software to simulate the virtual draping of fabrics in a skirt. The analysis of the drape profile of each fabric given by the software and the drape of the real fabrics evaluated in laboratory indicates, coherently, that the double fabric falls less than the single, but in a more harmonious way, what evidence the close links between technology and design of fashion products. The article shows the role of the student scientific society in attracting students to research work at the university. On the example of the student scientific society "Geosphere" of the Department of Geodesy, Physics and Engineering Structures of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering of the Altai State Agrarian University, a mechanism for involving first-year students in research work is presented. The structure, organization, directions and forms of work of the circle, the main projects being implemented, are also given, an assessment of the results of its activities and the most significant achievements are given. The positive role of the student scientific society in increasing the effectiveness of research work of students at the university is noted.

This research work investigated the influence of the cross-lapping angle in combination with punch density and stroke frequency on structural characteristics and properties of nonwoven fabric. An attempt has been made to change the cross-lapping angle by keeping the number of layers constant to maintain the same areal density of fabrics. The fibre orientation in the carded web was measured by using Lindsley and image analysis methods. Three variables, that is, cross-lapping angle, punch density and stroke frequency, were considered for the sampling plan to create a three-factor three-level Box–Behnken design. The properties such as mean flow pore size, bursting strength, filtration efficiency and pressure drop were evaluated and analysed in the light of fibre orientation in the carded web. It was concluded that the cross-lapping angle influenced the fibre orientation to a large extent; accordingly, the properties of nonwoven fabric were highly influenced by the fibre orientation.

IN SOME WAYS, Ezra–Nehemiah is a companion piece to Esther, another story of Jews living as vassals of the Persian Empire, although it has none of the patent absurdity of Esther. Nehemiah’s story, like Esther’s, starts in a Persian court, but most of the composite story takes place in Jerusalem. Cyrus “the Great,” the first ruler from the Achaemenid dynasty, in the first year after his conquest of the Neo-Babylonian Empire in 539 BCE issued a decree that allowed Jews to rebuild the temple (Ezra 1:1–4). The decree marked a policy of granting provinces a greater measure of local and regional control in exchange for cooperation with imperial economic and political goals. The book covers a period that exceeds the life of the two individuals for whom Ezra–Nehemiah is named. Four or five Persian kings are mentioned—Cyrus, Darius, Ahasuerus/Xerxes, Artaxerxes I, and maybe Artaxerxes II (Ezra 4:5–7; 6:14)—whose reigns span more than a century (c. 538–400 BCE). The book makes no consistent attempt to specify the chronology. The so-called Nehemiah memoir is considered by some the oldest and most accurately historical part of the book, recording the experience of a highly placed imperial agent. It suggests that some twenty years into the reign of Artaxerxes I (445 BCE), Jerusalem was still largely in ruins (Neh 2:3), even if the temple had been reconstructed two or three generations earlier (c. 515 BCE) at the urging of the prophet Haggai....

First-year college students with below-proficient IL skill levels were identified through a standardized IL test. Interviews and focus groups were conducted with a subset of these students. This paper will focus on the findings of the focus groups and describe how these findings are informing the design of the intervention.Les étudiants universitaires de première année ayant une maîtrise de l'information inadéquate ont été identifiés au moyen d'un test normalisé sur la maîtrise de l'information. Des entrevues et des groupes de discussion se sont déroulés avec un sous-groupe de ces étudiants. Cette communication s'attarde aux résultats des groupes de discussion et décrit comment les résultats sont pris en compte dans la conception de l'intervention.

Aims and MethodThere has been much discussion about the productivity and training value of protected research sessions at specialist registrar (SpR) level. We used questionnaire survey to investigate the research experience of senior psychiatric SpRs and first-year psychiatric consultants in Scotland.ResultsThe survey had an 80% response rate. Two-thirds of respondents were able to take protected research sessions, and a similar proportion had published research work during their higher training. Specific difficulties in conducting research are identified and discussed.Clinical ImplicationsScottish SpRs in psychiatry are usually able to protect research sessions, but experience difficulties with lack of experience, resources and supervision. Almost a third of those near the end of their training have published nothing. It is important to explore options other than research projects to gain relevant research experience.
