Abstract. Underlying the impact of global warming and rapid growth of the tourism industry, the increasing frequency of flood post threats to the sustainable development of the coastal cities in China. The article proposes a methodological approach to evaluate the emergence response capability. This approach combines the flood simulation scenario method, traffic big data with the path navigation interface of the web. This article provides an empirical study to evaluate the emergency response from Fire & Rescue Service (FRS) to the tourist hotel in Shanghai from spatial accessibility perspective. The findings show that (1). The emergency response from FRS has significant relationships with the situation of transportation, the location of hotels, the intensity of flood inundation and the number, location of the urban FRS. (2). The emergency accessibility of a city caused by floods depends on the prevailing traffic conditions. The more severe traffic congestion has a significant impact on the spatial accessibility. (3) Flooding and real-time traffic conditions can change the fastest path from FRS to tourist hotels, resulting in delays in emergency response times, and the selection of the most appropriate travel routes is critical to improving the emergency response capability of cities. The results proved the validity of this proposed approach. Consequently, the approach contributes to the enhancement of the level of emergence response ability of urban tourism when they encounter disasters.

The article considers the importance of the process of commercialization of intellectual property for the formation of reputable management of a tourist destination and provides an improved methodological approach to the process of commercialization of intellectual property on the example of the concept of creating a unique tourist product by a business entity. The reputation management of a tourist destination – a set of socio-economic processes of targeted influence on stakeholders of a tourist destination in order to improve their perception of its reputation characteristics, which aims to increase the importance of reputation and form sustainable long-term relationships with stakeholders. The reputation of a tourist destination directly proportionally influences the formation of tourist flow, and, accordingly, the growth of financial revenues, active development of the territory and improvement of the economic climate. With effective reputation management of a tourist destination, a strategic vision of development is formed, investment proceeds are attracted to new business projects and events, to the tourist infrastructure, to job creation. This is achieved through the creation of organizations that can bring together stakeholders and professionals to further promote resources and unique tourism offerings in the tourism arena. Its priority areas are determined by the impact on the formation of reputation through the elements of branding and image, research, analytics, the formation of services and tourism products. And most importantly, promotion through communication channels, which include: public relations (PR), interaction with the media, the involvement of promoters, experts, ambassadors, influencers of the destination through modern Internet technologies. One of the most effective channels of communication today is the Internet and the development of digital products, which include travel portals, mobile applications, digital channels, and more. By certain advantages, such channels are ahead of traditional channels, namely due to: rapid dissemination of information with a wide audience and distribution geography, with less costly control, because monitoring and openness of data simplifies the processes and global digitization of the widespread and tourism industry. And in such conditions, one of the priority steps in creating a tourist product – a unique tourist offer is its copyright protection under current legislation. This advanced method allows the tourism entity or destination as a whole to commercialize and further benefit, and thus improve its reputation in the tourism market by having unique protected tourism offerings within both the regional and national destinations.

The article recommends a methodological approach, that includes the analysis of natural and recreational, cultural, historical, and socio-economic factors to assess the potential of ecotourism development. The indicators and parameters of the assessment are established, qualitative and quantitative values are determined, they enable evaluation of the impact of each criterion on the assessment of the potential for ecotourism development in points. The authors identified organizational and economic factors of ecotourism development in the region: insufficient funding for natural parks improvement activities; lack of equipped ecological trails and routes; insufficient information and personnel support. On the basis of the proposed methodology, the potential for ecotourism development in natural parks of the Volgograd region was assessed. The article highlights risks of ecological tourism development in the Volgograd region: the lack of a unified system of state accounting and monitoring of the state of natural resources; low efficiency of control and supervisory activities; the spread of environmentally non-adaptive forms of nature management in the region; the low level of ecological culture of the population. The potential for ecotourism development determines opportunities for the implementation of main functions of specially protected natural areas: ecological, scientific and educational, socio-economic, which together forms a system of conditions for sustainable development of rural areas.

This chapter describes social media's role in understanding the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the tourism industry. At first, collecting large amounts of unstructured data from tourism-related digital media, social media, and search engines is explained. Then how these data can be analysed with artificial intelligence and machine learning-based sentiment analysis, content analysis, and topic modelling algorithms is described based on similar studies in the literature. Finally, how the collected data can be used to understand tourists' positive and negative experiences in the pandemic and determine their expectations from tourism enterprises, tourism-related public institutions, and government officials is expressed. Consequently, this chapter summarises how the digital world's big data resources can be used to extract knowledge about tourism during the pandemic.

To the article the results of the theoretical and experimental researches are given on questions of estimates of the dynamic rate effect of raindrop impact on soil. The aim of this work was to analyze the current methods to determine the rate of artificial rain pressure on the soil for the assessment of splash erosion. There are the developed author’s method for calculation the pressure of artificial rain on the soil and the assessment of splash erosion. The study aims to the justification of evaluation methods and the obtaining of quantitative characteristics, prevention and elimination of accelerated (anthropogenic) erosion, the creation and the realization of the required erosion control measures. The paper considers the question of determining the pressure of artificial rain on the soil. At the moment of raindrops impact, there is the tension in the soil, which is called vertical effective pressure. It is noted that the impact of rain drops in the soil there are stresses called vertical effective pressure. The equation for calculation of vertical effective pressure is proposed in this study using the known spectrum of raindrops. Effective pressure was 1.4 Pa for the artificial rain by sprinkler machine «Fregat» and 5.9 Pa for long distance sprinkler DD-30. The article deals with a block diagram of the sequence for determining the effective pressure of rain drops on the soil. This diagram was created by the author’s method of calculation of the effective pressure of rain drops on the soil. The need for an integrated approach to the description of the artificial rain impact on the soil is noted. Various parameters characterizing drop erosion are considered. There are data about the mass of splashed soil in the irrigation of various irrigation machinery and installations. For example, the rate (mass) of splashed soil was 0.28…0.78 t/ha under irrigation sprinkler apparatus RACO 4260–55/701C in the conditions of the Ryazan region. The method allows examining the environmental impact of sprinkler techniques for analyzes of the pressure, caused by raindrops, on the soil. It can also be useful in determining the irrigation rate before the runoff for different types of sprinkler equipment and soil conditions.
