A woman's menstrual cycle is influenced by the Body Mass Index. This is caused by the presence of fat that accumulates in a woman's body which can affect the body temperature levels which will cause irregular menstruation. The research objective was to determine the relationship between the Body Mass Index and the menstrual pattern of female adolescents in Gebangmalang Village, Mojoanyar District, Mojokerto Regency. This type of research uses analytical research. The independent variable is the Body Mass Index, while the dependent variable is the menstrual pattern. The study population was all young women in Gebangmalang Village, Mojoanyar District, Mojokerto Regency as many as 430 people with a sample of 207 people who were taken using simple random sampling. The instrument for calculating BMI used microtoise and weight scales, while for menstrual patterns used an interview sheet. The results showed that of the 93 respondents who had normal BMI experienced normal menstrual patterns as many as 77 people (83%). The results of the Wilcoxon statistical test at the level of significance α = 0.05 indicated that ρ = 0.000, which means that there is a relationship between the Body Mass Index and the menstrual pattern of young women. Young women who have a high Body Mass Index tend to experience menstrual pattern disorders. For this reason, it is recommended that young women pay attention to body weight and BMI so that they do not experience interference with their menstrual patterns.

Obesity is associated with chronic metabolic conditions that directly and indirectly cause kidney parenchymal damage. A review of the literature was conducted to explore existing evidence of the relationship between obesity and chronic kidney disease as well as the role of bariatric surgery in improving access to kidney transplantation for patients with a high body mass index. The review showed no definitive evidence to support the use of a transplant eligibility cut-off parameter based solely on the body mass index. Moreover, in the pre-transplant scenario, the obesity paradox is associated with better patient survival among obese than non-obese patients, although promising results of bariatric surgery are emerging. However, until more information regarding improvement in outcomes for obese kidney transplant candidates is available, clinicians should focus on screening of the overall frailty condition of transplant candidates to ensure their eligibility and addition to the wait list.

ABSTRACTBackground: Anemia is a condition characterized by low levels of hemoglobin (Hb) from normal limits. Anemia is still a public health problem. Data states that the prevalence of anemia in Indonesia in 2013 was 21.7%, with the number of sufferers known to be higher in women than men. The prevalence of anemia in the age range 15 to 24 years was 18.4%. Nutritional status shows the balance of nutrients due to the consumption, absorption, and use of nutrients that come from food in the body. A person's nutritional status can be said to be deficient if the body lacks intake of one or more essential nutrients for the body. One of the indicators for assessing a person's nutritional status is the Body Mass Index (BMI). Inadequate nutritional status will affect the nutritional status of iron in a person' s body so that it can be interpreted that nutritional status is one of the factors of anemia. Consuming foods with good nutritional value, especially foods that contain high iron will also affect the nutritional status of these adolescents so that the risk of suffering from anemia will decrease.Objective: This study aims to analyze the relationship between body mass index and anemia among young women in Indonesia.Methods: This study is a cross-sectional study. The data used are secondary data from the Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS) 5. The population of this study was all Indonesians who participated in IFLS 5. The sample used in this study amounted to 3,525 respondents. IInclusion criteria of this study included female, aged 10-18 years, unmarried, having complete data regarding body weight, height and hemoglobin measurement results. If data related to the measurement results of hemoglobin, body weight, height are incomplete, they will be excluded.The statistical test was used is a chi-square test.Results: There was a relationship between Body Mass Index (BMI) and anemia among young women in Indonesia (p = 0.034 <0.05).Based on the odd ratio analysis using the normal Body Mass Index (BMI) group as a comparison, it is known that young women with underweight BMI categories have a 1.198 greater risk of experiencing anemia than girls with normal BMI categories.Conclusion: There is a relationship between BMI and anemia in adolescent girls. It is important for young women to always pay attention to daily iron intake by eating foods that are rich in iron or taking blood-booster tablets (TTD) to avoid anemia.

This study aims to determine the effect of body mass index (BMI), sleep patterns, working years, physical workload, mental workload, and work time on work fatigue on nurses at Hasanuddin University Hospital Makassar. This research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design with a sample size of 56 people. Sampling using a simple random sampling method. Data collection was carried out by means of a questionnaire. Bodyweight is measured by weight scales, body temperature is measured by microtoice, and physical workload is measured by a pulse oximeter, which is by looking at the pulse of the nurse before and after work. Data analysis in this study used the SPSS program. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence between Body Mass Index (BMI) on work fatigue (p = 0.001), there is an effect of sleep patterns on work fatigue (p = 0.019), there is an effect of tenure on work fatigue (p = 0.017), the relationship between physical workload and work fatigue (p = 0.000), there is an effect of mental workload on work fatigue (p = 0.000) and there is an effect of length of work on work fatigue (p = 0.017). The physical workload is the variable with the greatest influence on work fatigue on nurses at Hasanuddin University Hospital Makassar with Exp. (B) = 14,526. The results of this study concluded that there was a significant influence between the Body Mass Index (BMI), sleep patterns, years of work, physical workload, mental workload, and length of work for nurses at Hasanuddin University Hospital Makassar.

<p><strong><em>Abstract: </em></strong><strong><em>The correlation of body mass index with the menstrual cycle</em></strong><strong><em></em></strong></p><p><em> </em></p><pre><em> </em>Factors that can cause menstrual cycle disorders include hormonal disorders, nutritional status, high or low BMI, stress, age, metabolic diseases such as diabetes mellitus.</pre><p>This study aims to determine the relationship between body mass index (BMI) and the menstrual cycle in class XI students at SMAN 8 Denpasar.</p><p>This study uses a correlation analytic design with crossectional approach. Using the Simple Random Sampling technique. The number of respondents was 53 respondents using the Spearman Rank's statistical test.</p><p>The results showed that of 14 respondents with a total body mass index index of 14 (100%) respondents had irregular menstrual cycles. Of the 20 respondents who have a normal body mass index category, almost all, namely 20 (87%) respondents have regular menstrual cycles. Of the 1 respondent with the body mass index category, the excess weight of the BB level was 1 (100%). The respondents had irregular menstrual cycles.</p><p>After testing the data analysis using the Spearman Rank's correlation test through computer assistance, it was obtained a value of 0.815 with a significance level of 0,000 where p value &lt;0.05, so Ha was accepted where there was a significant relationship between body mass index and menstrual cycle in class XI at SMAN 8 Denpasar.</p><em></em><em></em><p><strong>Abstrak :<em> </em></strong><strong>Hubungan indeks masa tubuh dengan siklus menstruasi pada siswi kelas XI</strong><strong><em></em></strong></p><p>Faktor yang dapat menyebabkan gangguan siklus menstruasi antara lain gangguan hormonal, status gizi, tinggi atau rendahnya IMT, stress, usia, penyakit metabolik seperti diabetes mellitus.</p><p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara indeks masa tubuh (IMT) dengan siklus menstruasi pada siswi kelas XI di SMAN 8 Denpasar.</p><p>Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan analitik korelasi dengan pendekatan <em>crossectional</em>. Menggunakan teknik sampling Simple Random Sampling. Jumlah responden sebanyak 53 responden dengan mengunakan uji statistik <em>Spearman Rank’s</em>.</p><p>Hasil penelitian menunjukan dari 14 responden dengan kategori indeks masa tubuh kurus seluruhnya 14 (100%) responden memiliki siklus menstruasi tidak teratur. Dari 20 reponden yang memiliki kategori indeks masa tubuh normal hampir seluruhnya yaitu 20 (87%) responden memiliki siklus menstruasi teratur. Dari 1 responden dengan kategori indeks masa tubuh kelebihan BB tingkat ringan seluruhnya yaitu 1 (100%) responden memiliki siklus menstruasi tidak teratur.</p><p>Setelah dilakukan uji analisis data dengan menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman Rank’s melalui bantuan komputer di dapatkan nilai 0,815 dengan tingkat hubunngan signifikansi 0,000 dimana p value &lt;0,05, sehingga Ha diterima dimana terdapat hubugan yang signifikan antara indeks masa tubuh dengan siklus menstruasi pada siswi kelas XI di SMAN 8 Denpasar.</p>

Purpose: We investigated the associations between frequency of eating at fast-food, fast-casual, all-you-can-eat, and sit-down restaurants and the body mass index (BMI) in non-large metro Wisconsin communities. To inform prevention efforts, we also analyzed the socioeconomic/environmental and nutrition attitudes/behavior variables that may drive the frequent eating away from home. Design: Cross-sectional analysis of an ancillary data set from the Survey of Health of Wisconsin collected between October 2012 and February 2013. Setting: Six Wisconsin counties: 1 classified as rural, 1 as large fringe metro, and 4 as small metro. Subjects: Adults ≥18 years (N = 1418). Measures: Field staff measured height and weight and administered a survey on the frequency of eating away from home, and socioeconomic and nutritional behavior variables. Analysis: Multivariable regression. Results: The BMI of respondents averaged 29.4 kg/m2 (39% obese). Every 1-meal/week increase in fast-food and sit-down restaurant consumption was associated with an increase in BMI by 0.8 and 0.6 kg/m2, respectively. Unavailability of healthy foods at shopping and eating venues and lack of cooking skills were both positively associated with consumption of fast-food and sit-down meals. Individuals who described their diet as healthy, who avoided high-fat foods, and who believed their diet was keeping their weight controlled did not visit these restaurants frequently. Conclusion: Obesity prevention efforts in non-large metro Wisconsin communities should consider socioeconomic/environmental and nutritional attitudes/behavior of residents when designing restaurant-based or community education interventions.

Any movement of the body produced by skeletal muscles that requires energy expenditure, and muscle workwhich called physical activities. Increased BMI occurs because of an energy imbalance between food intake with energyreleased to cause the buildup of energy in the form of fat that can lead to obesity or increased BMI.This study purposewas to determine the relationship between physical activities and body mass index (BMI) in adolescents aged 16-18years old in SMA Negeri 2 Denpasar. This research was analytical research with cross sectional approach done inFebruary-March 2018. Sampling was done by Simple Random Sampling. Sample amounted to 70 people. The resultsshowed the relationship between physical activities with body mass index. In the calculation of chi square data analysiscould be seen that significant value (2-tailed) was 0,000 which meant that significant value was p < 0.05. Based on theresults of this study, it can be concluded that there is a strong relationship between physical activities and body massindex (BMI) in adolescents aged 16-18 years old in SMA Negeri 2 Denpasar. Background: Hypertension or high blood pressure is still a high cause of death in the world. One factor in the occurrence of hypertension is poor nutritional status. Measurement of nutritional status is by knowing body mass index.Purpose: To describe the body mass index (BMI) values in patients with hypertension.Methods: Descriptive with cross sectional approach with consecutive sampling. The number of samples was 40 respondents. Data retrieval is measurement of blood pressure, height and weight. Data analyzed and made by frequencies and percentages.Results: The highest number of hypertension was in the age range of  60-74 years old and the highest gender in this research is women and hypertension in grade I with overweight body mass index values (35%), normal body mass index (62.5%).Conclusion: This study shows that hypertensive patients at Public Health Centre (Puskesmas Pasundan Garut) was show a high body mass index (BMI) value. By early detection to prevent of further severe complications and management of hypertension can be done to improve the quality of life.

Background:Reproductive health is an important part of the health program. Several diseases that related to the reproductive system are important things to be solved such as irregular menstrual cycles. Some factors that affect the menstrual cycle are the influence of weight, physical activity, and the process of ovulation and adequate luteal function. Now, special attentions arealso emphasized on the diet behavior and stress.  The purpose of this study was to know the correlation of Body Mass Index (BMI) and stress level with menstrual cycle of young women in SMK WidyaUtama Indramayu. Methods: The design of this study used an analytic survey using a cross sectional design. The instrument used is the questionnaire of Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS) that has been standardized and modified. questionnaire for measuring the menstrual cycle is a question about the menstrual cycle. Body mass index (BMI) is measured by calculating body weight / TB2 in kg / m2. Result: The results showed that the Body Mass Index in Normal category (68.3%), stress level in the normal category (68.3% and menstrual cycle in the normal category (56.7%). There was a significant relationship between body mass index and cycle menstruation with a value of p = 0.000 There is a significant relationship between stress levels with the menstrual cycle with a value of p = 0.031. Conclusion: that need to be recommended are the need to control the weight so that the nutritional status will be in the ideal level, able to adapt the stress and regularly record the menstrual period in order to control the menstrual cycle.
