This study examines the educational facilities which are important in providing quality education at secondary schools. The researcher examined the appropriateness of physical infrastructure, teaching-learning material, library, computer laboratory, and science laboratory at secondary schools to find out nexus of quality education with these provided educational facilities. The research design of the study was quantitative in nature. The research population included 194 secondary schools in Bahawalnagar, 194 head teachers, and 3739 SSTs. The sample of the study was comprised of over 45 head teachers and 90 sets of all the secondary schools of Tehsil Bahawalnagar selected by using cluster random sampling technique. A questionnaire was developed on a 5- point Likert scale to examine & analyze the educational facilities including teaching-learning material, computer laboratory, and library and science laboratory. An observation checklist was also developed and used for the collection of data. The further checklist was divided into three options yes, no and status further divided into two options useable and unusable, appropriateness, and inappropriateness. Data was collected & analyzed using descriptive statistics including percentage and frequency to examine the appropriateness of educational facilities. Quantitative data was analyzed using computer-generated software SPSS. Results revealed that the majority of the respondents were agreed with educational facilities. The study concludes that the researcher observe the educational facilities through a checklist maximum facilities were present, useable and appropriateness of these was also registered. Research study recommended that more opportunities for students may be available for experience science being exposed to more practical’s work in labs which may enhance better performance in science subjects.

Supervision is one of the important factors for school improvement and ensuring quality education. It makes the teaching-learning environment effective and helps us to achieve the educational objectives. The current research study was designed to explore analyze the practices of supervision at elementary schools’ level in Punjab. The population of the study was 166 elementary schools and 64 supervisors. The sample respondents of the study were 50 head teachers and 16 supervisors of elementary schools’ public sector in the District. The researcher adopted a convenience sampling technique for the collection of data. The tool for the collection of data were two self-developed questionnaires on a five-point rating scale, one for head teachers and the second one for supervisors having forty-two (42) statements with eleven aspects regarding (1) objectives, (2) cooperation, (3) cleanliness, (4) quality of education, (5) motivation, (6) facilities, (7) attendance, (8) budget, (9) feedback, (10) problems and (11) universal primary education. The validity of the research instrument was properly ensured through experts’ opinions and pilot testing. The reliability of the instruments was ensured by applying the Cronbach Alpha. The value of the reliability for supervisors was found 0.939 and the reliability value for the head teachers was measured at 0.932. The data collected from respondents were subsequently organized properly. The collected data was accurately analyzed, tabulated, presented and interpreted. Descriptive statistics were applied and data was presented in the mean score, frequency and standard deviation and interpreted accordingly. The data was presented in the form of tables. It was concluded that the supervisors are discharging their professional responsibilities with the spirit to promote quality education, promote a healthy and child-friendly environment in schools and head teacher are keen on conveying the instructions from the supervisors to the teachers.

This study examined supervisory strategies as correlates of quality education among secondary schools in Ibadan southwest local government area of Oyo State. Simple random sampling technique was used to select thirty schools (public and private) and three hundred respondents consisting of 200 teachers from public schools, 80 teachers from private schools and 20 supervisors from Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM).Pearson Product Moment Correlation (PPMC) was used to test the four hypotheses(P < 0.05)  Multiple Regression was used to determine the contribution of independent variables (Supervisory strategies) both jointly and individually to dependent variable (quality education).Results revealed that two of the supervisory strategies (companionable and synergistic) have positive and significant correlation  on quality education (r =0.853) and (r = 0.783) while authoritarian strategy had negative  correlation, laissez faire had no significant relationship on quality education (r = -0.522 and r = -0.200)respectively. The joint contribution of the four supervisory strategies to the prediction of quality  education in secondary schools was also significant (F (4,295) = 261.225).The paper concludes  with some recommendations to the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) and the Government. The purpose of this study was to assess the relationship between parents’ attitude towards their children’s education and level of students’ discipline in public secondary schools in Naivasha sub-county, Kenya. The study targeted a total of 197 respondents (constituting 28 head teachers and 169 teachers). A total of 195 respondents participated in the study (169 teachers and 26 principals) participated giving a response rate of 99%. Purposive sampling technique was used to sample head teachers while Krejcie and Morgan’s (1970) table for determining sample size for teachers. Questionnaires were used as instrument for data collection. SPSS was used to analyze the data where both descriptive and inferential statistics were used. The analyzed data were presented in terms of graphs and tables. The results showed that there was a significant positive relationship between parents’ attitude towards child’s education and students’ discipline (r = .399, p = .000). Therefore, the null hypothesis that there was no significant relationship between parents’ attitude towards child’s education and students’ discipline was rejected at .05 level of confidence. The study therefore concluded that parents’ attitude towards child’s education influences students’ discipline in secondary schools in Naivasha sub-county. It was recommended that parents’ should have more positive attitude towards a child’s education. This can be realized through monitoring the academic performance of their children and taking keen concern on decline on the performance by engaging teachers.

Occupational burnout, according to Hanisah (2019), is an increasingly important phenomenon in Asian countries. School education departments are no exception. The purpose of this study was to analyze the prevalence of burnout among the heads of secondary schools in KPK. This study also investigates the correlation of burnout, emotional intelligence and organizational commitment. The sample of this study comprised 336 head teachers (168 males and 168 females) of secondary schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Stratified sampling technique was used to select the sample. The research instruments included Copenhagen burnout inventory, Wong and law emotional intelligence scale, Allen and Meyer organizational commitment. For hypothesis testing, Pearson Correlation Coefficient test was chosen. The study concluded that a significant number of heads were experiencing moderate level of burnout. The findings also revealed that the correlation among burnout, organizational commitment and emotional intelligence was significant among the heads of secondary schools of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

This paper sought to determine economic factors that influence access to secondary educational opportunities in Narok County, Kenya and to suggest strategies to help raise the transition rates of learners from primary to secondary schools. The study employed descriptive survey research design involving both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Study participants comprised head teachers, teachers and students in both primary and secondary schools. Stratified sampling technique was used to select twenty-four (24) primary school head teachers, forty-eight (48) primary school teachers and eight (8) secondary school principals. A total of 68 class eight pupils and 44 form one students were selected using simple random sampling from the sampled schools. Data were collected using questionnaires and an interview schedule. Pilot testing was done with questionnaires to test reliability and validity. To obtain the reliability the test-retest method was employed. Pearson Product Moment was employed to compute the correlation coefficient. A correlation co-efficient of 0.77 was obtained. Qualitative data were analysed inductively through content analysis while SPSS was used to analyse quantitative data. Results were presented in form of tables, figures, frequencies and percentages. It was established that household poverty and opportunity costs of education have influences on completion rates and lead to dropouts from basic schooling. The study recommends the need for the government and private sector employing a long term strategy in expanding secondary education in Kenya. This could include poverty mitigation and reduction in cost of secondary schooling and improvement of basic infrastructure, improvement of the quality of education in the country in order to reduce the opportunity costs and also through provision of more subsidies to improve the level of enrollment in basic education.

The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of administrators' leadership styles in the provision of quality in Punjab, Pakistan. In this study, a self-designed questionnaire was used as a tool. This study was used simple random sampling technique. A total of 573 teachers from 288 secondary schools were involved. Data were analyzed by using frequency, percentage, average value, standard deviation, correlation Pearson product-moment, and numerous regression step-by-step method. The findings show that there are two types of leadership, autocratic and democratic leadership styles that have a significant impact on the provision of quality education. In addition, both leadership styles are projected to provide quality education at a level of 56.80 percent, with an important level of 0.01. As a result, in order to increase the effectiveness of teachers' work, leadership must constantly promote, apply and develop these two leadership styles, namely, autocratic and democratic styles

In the present day, the examination results of different school boards of India in general and West Bengal in particular are not much satisfactory in respect of performance in mathematics. It has been an observed fact that educational facilities provided in a school has to play a vital role in the performance of its students. The present study attempts to examine whether the performance of students in mathematics depends on the location of school where they study. Ex post facto research design has been employed in carrying out the study. The scores in mathematics of 1104 Madhyamik examinees from six secondary schools of Kolkata and outskirts served as the source of data and the sampling technique used was purposive. Results indicate that there exist significant differences between mathematics scores in Madhyamik Examination of students from Kolkata and outskirt schools. Students from Kolkata schools score better in mathematics than the students from the schools that are situated in the outskirts. The study, therefore, recommends that schools located in the outskirts should be provided with better infrastructure to help in better performance of their students in mathematics.

Punjab Government of Pakistan under the headship of the Chief Minister’s has taken many moves for the promotion of education. Therefore, “Assessing effectiveness of quality enhancement measures in chief minister’s roadmap; perception of headteachers and teachers” were investigated in this study. The objective was to check the effectiveness of CM roadmap indicators on Quality Education. Taking district Sahiwal of Panjab Pakistan, as population, 300 teachers and headteachers of school side were selected as sample of study. A multi-stage convenient sampling technique was used to collect data. It was concluded that CM road map indicators does not have any statistically significant difference in teacher’s gender but have statistically significant difference on urban-rural teachers of district Sahiwal. By analysis of variance technique it has been finally concluded that CM road map indicators have substantial effect on quality education. The study opens the doors for future researcher to further evaluate other indicators except quality.

Generally, it has been established that games are part of non-formal curriculum and they do complement the formal curriculum. However, in secondary schools, games have been treated as second rate. Methods used in implementing of games programs varies from one school to another because of the varied support given and its value in enhancing academic achievement has not been established. The purpose of this study was to investigate the implementation of games and its contribution to students academic achievement in secondary schools in Rongo Sub- County, Kenya. The objective of this study was to determine methods used in implementing games programs in secondary schools in Rongo Sub-County secondary schools and their effects on academic achievement.The study adopted correlation, survey and ex post facto designs. The target population included 50 games teachers, 50 head teachers and 2000 form four students in 50 schools in Rongo Sub-county that sat for the Rongo Sub-County Examinations in the year 2010. Saturated sampling technique was used to select 46 games teachers and 46 head teachers used in the study. Stratified random sampling technique was used to select 700 form four students who were a divided into two equal groups (n=350) named as experimental group and control group. Students questionnaires, games teachers questionnaires, games teachers interview schedules, head teachers interview schedule and an observation schedule for games facilities were used to collect data. Quantitative data was analyzed using descriptive statistics while qualitative data was received in verbatim form, transcribed and reported according to emerging themes. Findings for the study the study further established that academic achievement had some relationship with the level to which a student participated in games programs. It was recommended that school administrations should provide adequate material and support for implementing games and special attention should be given to the academic wellbeing of participants in games since games do contribute to better academic achievement of students.
