Diction with the accuracy and appropriateness of word choices related to meaning, grammatical, social, and standard words. The purpose of this research is to be able to see the types of errors in the use of diction and its factors in the discussion discourse of the third and sixth grade santri end of the Islamic Boarding School Darul Ulum Medal Sugio Lamongan. This research uses descriptive qualitative type method. The data in this study are in the form of errors in using diction in the discussion. The techniques used in this research are observation, listening, and note-taking techniques. The results of this study are in the form of errors in the use of diction, including (a) inaccurate use of words, (b) using words in pairs, (c) using two words, (d) introducing between sentences and words, and (e) eliminating prepositions. These factors include (a) the lack of vocabulary, lack of knowledge of word processing and (c) lack of understanding of the language users' understanding of the meaning of the words they use.

The aim of the research is to find the error of using inflectional affixes in students’ argumentative writing of the fifth semester of English Department of IAIN Metro. This research is descriptive-qualitative research. This descriptive-qualitative research use two sources, primary and secondary data, the primary data is achieved through the argumentative writing text from the fifth students semester of IAIN Metro. Then the secondary data is collected from archival. This research applies Creswell model to analyze the data.  The findings research shows there are 9 argumentative writing result, they have eight errors in using {–s}, 2 errors in using {–es}, 1 error in using {–ies}, 13 errors in using {–ed}, 3 errors in using {–ing}, and there is no error in using {–er} and{–est}. Based on the data, the first error that commonly found in students’ writing production is the use of {–ed}, and the second one is the use of {–s}, and the third one is the use of {–es}. Most of the fifth semester students of the English Department of IAIN Metro have lack of knowledge about inflectional affixes and there are many students who feel difficult in deciding which one is the correct affix for the word they want. It means there are many students of the fifth semester of English Department of IAIN Metro that still can not use the inflectional affixes correctly. The conclusion of the research is the student of the fifth semester of English Department of IAIN Metro need attention to focus on writing argumentative learning and semantic specially ‘inflection affixes’.

<p>One of the phenomena of “Living Qur’ān” found in Benda, Central Java is the tradition of memorizing the Qur’ān. This paper presents an elaboration of the question “how the contextualization step for the taḥfīẓ al-Qur’ān education as a solution for taḥfīẓ al-Qur’ān exist in Benda Bumiayu Brebes? As formulated in three Sub Question: 1. How the taḥfīẓ al-Qur’ān culture for Benda society can be construct as long time exist? 2. What factors that supported the taḥfīẓ al-Qur’ān culture exist ? 3. What factors that reduced the taḥfīẓ al-Qur’ān culture exist?</p><p>This research is a descriptive qualitative nature, employing historical and sosiological approaches. The qualitative data are obtained through observation, interview and documentation. The data collected are then selected and arranged in a sequence with argumentative presentation.</p><p>The result of this research reveal that Benda village is good known by <em>Dā al- Qur’ān,</em> because he has more than 7 (seven) Islamic Boarding School for memorizing Qur’ān. This village used to create memorizing Qur’ān culture for the society and arround him. This culture is effected by KH. Khalīl Ibn Maḥallī dan KH. Suḥaimi Ibn Abdul Ghānī, and in the second generation he has great memorizing culture. But in the third generation he gets bad value that less. As  observation data, a writter has seen some fundamen factors which influence reducing the taḥfiẓ al-Qur’ān culture in that village. So that needed the contextualization of taḥfīẓ al- Qur’ān education that switable with modernity.<em></em></p>

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to find out what is the background of ecological preaching messages, ecological da'wah activities and to determine the meaning of ecological preaching. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a phenomenological theory approach. The results obtained explain that the background of ath-thaariq's ecological preaching message, first is the existence of agrarian conflict, second is the green revolution, third is the lack of knowledge and understanding of the community about the environment. Ecological da'wah activities carried out through the concept of planting, maintaining and utilizing the environment. The meaning of ecological da'wah can be viewed in terms of the underlying motive and basic goals expected of the Ath-Thaariq Islamic boarding school in carrying out its da'wah activities through an ecological approach. Da'wah in this ecological approach is very accepted, both by Ath-Thaariq students and the surrounding community. Keywords: Da'wah; Ecology; Islamic Boarding School; ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apa yang melatarbelakangi pesan dakwah ekologis, aktivitas dakwah ekologis serta untuk mengetahui makna dakwah ekologis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan teori fenomenologi. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menjelaskan bahwa yang melatarbelakangi pesan dakwah ekologis ath-thaariq, pertama adanya konflik agraria, kedua adanya revolusi hijau, ketiga kurangnya pengetahuan dan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai lingkungan. Aktivitas dakwah ekologis yang dilakukan melalui konsep penanaman, pemeliharaan serta pemanfaatan lingkungan. Makna dakwah ekologis dapat ditinjau dari segi motive yang mendasari dan dasar tujuan yang diharapkan pesantren Ath-Thaariq dalam melakukan aktivitas dakwahnya melalui pendekatan ekologi. Dakwah dalam pendektan ekologi ini sangat diterima, baik itu oleh santri Ath-Thaariq maupun masyarakat sekitar. Kata Kunci : Dakwah; Ekologi; Pesantren;

When the students interact, there is what is called a speech act or language interaction which includes speakers and opposing speakers, both individually and in groups. When interacting, there will be the application of language acts responsively to their fellow scopes, as well as actions in the form of verbal and behavioral. A speaker performs speech acts well because they are used to their environment. As in the santri at the Nurul Ilmi Wal Fikri Jombang Islamic boarding school, for survival in the pesantren the santri interact and there must be a purpose and application or purpose of the interaction. In the application of communication, the researchers observed the students with the illocutionary phenomenon. There are three illocutions contained in this study, namely; directive illocutionary, expressive illocutionary, and commissive illocutionary. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method, with data collection techniques in the form of observation, note taking, and documentation. Data validity techniques include; data transcription, understanding data, verifying data, modifying data and analyzing data. The results of this study are the students at the Nurul Ilmi wal fikri Jombang Islamic boarding school when interacting there will definitely be an application and purpose in communication, which can be verbal or behavioral.

This study aims to describe symbolic form of sign used to describe the emotions of Pasutri Gaje comic characters. Theoretically, this study discusses tropes symbols as additional elements whose existence has a major influence on conveying the emotions of the characters to the readers. This is a descriptive qualitative study. Apply the theory of semiotics proposed by Ferdinand de Saussure about dichotomy signifie dan significant and Pierce about triadic feature of sign.  Datas sourced from picture of online comic Pasutri Gaje season 1 until episode 13 season 3. Datas is collected by observing method with recording and note-taking technique. Data were analysed by extralingual equivalent methods and comparative relational techniques. Data presented used formal and informal method.             There seven kind of emotions symbol called tropes symbol used in comic. There were cross popin for angry sign, sweat drops to clumsy sign, drool to show feeling tempted, chibi to show childish side, dog ear/tail to express innocence in expecting something, blush to express feeling embarrassed, and shadow over face to show extreme anger. Tropes symbols fulfills the element of signification in accordance with the concept proposed by Pierce hence it can convey the emotional situation of character to the readers.

<em>Ecranization is the process of transfering a novel into the film. Moving from novel to film inevitably leads to various changes. Therefore, ekranisasi can also be called a process of changesin form of reducing, adding, or changing with a number of variations. The Ecranization of Pesantren Impian film shows many reductions, additions, and changes. Pesantren Impian novel tells the story of a girl and her friends in seeking repentance by entering the Islamic boarding school. Whereas in the film tells the story of a girl and her friends who come to the Islamic boarding school to seek repentance which ends with serial killings that occur in the Dream Boarding School. The research method used by the researcher is descriptive qualitative narrative, it was found that there were several ecranizations that occurred  in the plot, setting, and characterization in Pesantren Impian film</em>

ABSTRAK Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui manajemen humas radio Rama FM Bandung dalam meningkatkan pemasang iklan dari mulai tahapan perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan sampai dengan pengawasan, metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk mengetahui karakteristik  dengan cara berinteraksi secara langsung dan mendalam mengenai sebuah program dan ringkasan yang digambarkan pada konteks di atas mendasari untuk menggali dan mendeskripsikan kegiatan-kegiatan yang dijalankan oleh radio Rama FM Bandung dalam meningkatkan pemasang iklan. Analisis penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualittaif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kegiatan manajemen humas radio Rama FM Bandung dalam meningkatkan pemasang iklan dimulai pada tahapan pertama yaitu perencanaan pembuatan proposal, inovasi program, pengemasan iklan dan penyampaian iklan. Tahapan kedua yaitu pengorganisasian dengan komunikasi, membentuk team, pertimbangan tugas, dan persetujuan dari pimpinan. Tahapan ketiga yaitu pelaksanaan sesuai tugas, presentasi, pelaksanaan tugas sesuai susunan, pelaksanaan kegiatan. Tahap keempat yaitu pengawasan koordinasi, kinerja team yang bertugas, program yang berlangsung, dan pengawasan proses sebagai bahan evaluasi. Kata Kunci : Manajemen Humas; Meningkatkan; Pemasang Iklan. ABSTRACT This writing aims to determine radio public relations management Rama FM Bandung in increasing advertisers from the stages of planning, organizing, implementation to supervision, this research method uses a case study method to determine the characteristics by interacting directly and deeply about a case and summary illustrated in the above context underlying to explore and describe the activities carried out by radio Rama FM Bandung in improving advertisers. The analysis of this study uses descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the radio public relations management activities of Rama FM Bandung in increasing advertisers began in the first stage, namely the planning of making proposals, program innovation, packaging of advertisements and delivery of advertisements. The second stage is organizing with communication, forming teams, considering assignments, and approval from the leadership. The third stage is the implementation of tasks, presentations, implementation of tasks according to the arrangement, implementation of activities. The fourth stage is monitoring coordination, the performance of the team in charge, the ongoing program, and monitoring the process as an evaluation material. To assess the relation of social position to speaking competence and to determine the stuttering child’s awareness of peer evaluation, ratings of social position and speaking competence were obtained from 24 stuttering boys (12 mild and 12 moderate or severe) in each the third and sixth grade and from 562 of their normally fluent male classmates. Peer ratings, self-estimates of ratings, and reasons for certain ratings also were obtained. No significant differences between groups of stuttering boys were found. Upon comparison with fluent boys, stuttering boys both expected to be and were rated significantly poorer as speakers than were the normally fluent. No significant differences were found, however, between stuttering and fluent boys on social position measures, suggesting that whether or not an elementary-school-age boy stuttered was of minor importance in determining his social role among his peers.

Arabic is the language of Muslim’s holy book, and reading  it is obligatory for Muslims. In Islamic education, Arabic is the language that should be mastered as a means of understanding the original texts of the source of Islamic law. One of the important thing in learning Arabic is the method. Zam-Zam Muhammadiyyah Modern Islamic Boarding School implements a diffent model and method of learning Arabic compared to other Islamic boarding schools in the district of Cilongok. This is a qualitative research, through a case study using interview, observation and documentation techniques for collecting data and interactive analysis for analying data. The findings of this research are three models of Arabic learning in Pondok Pesantren. The first model is khiwar or muhadatsah, the second is mufrodat walls intended to make students familiar with Arabic vocabulary, and the third is Lughoh. The method and model of Arabic learning in the institution as described above is a combined method. There are at least three methods used, i.e. Communicative Problem-Based Learning Method, Audiolingual Method, and Grammar-Translation Method.

The appearance of the trailer for The Santri movie has sparked various responses on the internet, this can be observed from the existence of parties who are pro and contra with the movie trailer. This difference can be seen from the way the audience responds to and interpret the contents of the movie trailer. This study can understand the image of the student at Islamic Boarding School in the movie trailer of The Santri which can be seen through the account NU Channel on YouTube. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach model with content analysis on movie trailers. The results of the study show that the image of the student at an Islamic Boarding School in the movie trailer of The Santri can be divided into two parts, namely: first, an explicit image such as students must have self-confidence, have high dreams, love religion and their nation, have a good faith, and be a loyal friend. Second, implicit images such as students who have a simple, tough, and brave image, accept differences, and are open-minded.
