Increasing independence and competitiveness of the nation is carried out in order to advance the Indonesian civilization. One of them is through the development of a national system of science, and technology in Citizenship Education. Citizenship Education is one of the subjects that shape the character of Indonesian society. The long-term goals to be achieved in this study are as follows: the researcher found a developmental design of Citizenship Education Learning Model to improve the character of Indonesian society in the era of digital media and the Revolution of Technology. The research method used research and development which is a research method used to yield certain products and to test the validity and the effectiveness of the products. This study used a procedural development model. The procedure in this study adapted the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate). The sample in this study involved State and Private Universities in Indonesia. The results of the study show the following: First, doing a need analysis, identifying problems (needs), and performing task analysis; Second, Design, this design phase, formulated SMART learning objective; Third, Development was realizing blue-print with digital media innovation; Fourth, Implementation was a real step to implement the learning system that we were making; Fifth, Evaluation was a process to see whether the learning system being built was successful, in accordance with early expectations or not. The evaluation was the final way from the design model of the ADDIE learning system. Based on the instructional development model ADDIE, it was then adopted in the developmental stage of the Citizenship Education learning model, with the modification of "MPC" (Modification of Project Citizen) which has adopted the absorption of digital media and the technological revolution.

This research aims to create a supporting media product in English Grammar learning in semester 2 students majoring in English at IAIN Palopo. based on observations in June 2019, the author found a problem in the scale of student use in smartphone use that is increasingly growing. Therefore, the author is interested in creating an online comic that can be accessed on the phone by using an application called Webtoon. The study design used in this study was Research and Development (R&D) utilized ADDIE Model. It consists of Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. The product is used as a supporting medium in English grammar learning which was once being studied by Semester 2 English Student IAIN Palopo. The product was tried out to the Students of Semester 2 of English Students at IAIN Palopo. The instruments were used in this study are Questionnaire for need analysis and observation sheet for 5 Experts and student’s perception. In this study, 5 experts were involved in order to validate the product. The elements of the validation are Display, Content/Materials, Language, and the Application. The result based from the expert’s validation as well as try-out product result, the product of this study was appropriate to be applied for the students of English Department semester 2, as a supporting media in Learning English Grammar

This study discusses the needs analysis for developing flexibility-project-based learning models in vocational education to optimize the learning process and outcomes. The purpose of this study was to obtain information about the need for developing a proper learning model that can be applied in the domestic electrical installation learning process for students of electrical engineering vocational education at the third diploma level.The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire consisting of four leading indicators. 27 students who took part in the domestic electrical installation learning process became respondents in this study. The results showed that the need for a flexibility-based learning model project obtained a significant score. Thus, the need for a flexibility-project-based learning model developed in the domestic electrical installation learning process is high.

This paper aims to develop ESP Supplementary book for mechanical engineering students in high level education. This is a Borg & Gall Research and Development (R&D) by using questionnaire and unstructured interview instrument. The research subject is 20 fourth semester students of mechanical engineering major in UNU Blitar. The limitation of this study is developing ESP supplementary book based PBL with engineering materials as the topic of the book. The process development of Engineering Materials Supplementary Book Based on ESP and PBL consists of some steps those are (1) Need analysis; (2) Product arrangement; (3) Product testing; and (4) Product revision if it is necessary. This research finds that the supplementary book is valid in three aspects of media (77.5%), content (83.3%) and language (83.3%) and feasible to use as supplement material for the mechanical engineering students. Based on the satisfaction questionnaire this product is appropriate for the mechanical engineering students to learn about English for Specific Purposes in form of Project Based Learning model implementation in percentage about 80% agree and 15% very agree.

This study aims to investigate the needs of students and lecturers in writing instructions using the process genre approach. Besides, this research is also based on facts which reveal that decision making on learning objectives is only taken from the curriculum and syllabus review used. But unfortunately, the preference of students and lecturers for learning needs is actually ignored. The method used in this study is a qualitative method using questionnaires and interviews as research instruments. The number of participants in this study was 3 Indonesian language lecturers and 65 students at the State Islamic University of Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten. The participants of the students were selected by using a purposive random sampling technique. The results showed that the need for a writing learning model design using the process genre approach. Specifically, the findings of this study include several aspects needed by students and lecturers, namely: (1) a comprehensive learning approach involving students, colleagues, and lecturers, (2) writing assessment must cover broader aspects, and (3) the need for publication as part of the writing activity. Furthermore, the syntax in the learning model based on the needs analysis is: (1) recognize the form of the text, (2) analyze the text, (3) discuss the text, (4) write the text independently, (5) finalize the text, and (6) publish the text.
