Today is the era of modernization and fast life. Everybody is busy and living stressful life changing of life style of modern human being has created several disharmonie. In his biological system. Advancement of busy, professional and social life, improper sitting posture in offices, continuous work in one posture and over exertion, jerking movements during travelling and sports - all these factors create undue pressure and stress injury to the spine and play an important role in producing disease like cervical spondylosis. Agnikarma is said to be the most superior among all the Anushastra Karma. Agnikarma is superior to Ksharakarma as disease burnt with Agni will never recur. Disease that cannot be cured with medicines, Kshara and Surgery, can be cured with Agnikarma.

The modern busy lifestyle of these days leads to several lifestyle disorders. Sciatica is one of the locomotory disorder occurs due to improper sitting posture, heavy weight lifting, stress injury and trauma to the spine. This disease became a great concern to the working people. Sciatica can be correlated with Gridhrasi in Ayurveda which is characterized as Ruk (pain), Stambha (stiffness), tingling sensation and numbness of lower limb. Gridhrasi is a type of Vatavyadhi mentioned in Ayurveda classics. Ayurveda through its advance treatment i.e. Panchakarma (Bio purification) eliminates the causative factors for disease. A male patient presented with signs and symptoms of Gridhrasi (sciatica) and MRI report suggesting of disc diffuse and disc protrusion and mild thecal compression. So In the present single case study patient was treated with Patra pottali sveda and Kati basti with some oral medicine. Both the therapies were effective in relieving symptoms like pain, stiffness, pricking sensation and numbness of leg.

Introduction: In China, patients with chronic cholecystitis account for approximately 10% of the total population, in which over 90% of cholecystitis is caused by cholelithiasis. This study aimed to discuss the possible mechanism of electroacupuncture on the Yanglingquan acupoint promoting gallbladder contractibility of patients with chronic cholecystitis. Methods: 60 patients were randomly divided into a trial group and a control group. Doppler ultrasound and color Doppler blood flow imaging was applied. The trial group adopted the BT701-1B electroanesthesia apparatus to perform electroacupuncture on the bilateral acupoints of Yanglingquan, while electroacupuncture was made on sham acupoints in the control group. Results: Before the electroacupuncture, gallbladder volume was 49.6 ± 5.66 ml, after 15 min and 30 min of electroacupuncture, the gallbladder volume was then 32.9 ± 5.66 ml and 23.0 ± 2.83 ml respectively. The comparison before and after electroacupuncture was obviously and statistically different (P < 0.01). The comparison between after 15 min and 30 min is obviously statistically different (P < 0.01). Before the electroacupuncture, the gallbladder artery Vmax, Vmin, and RI were 18.4 ± 2.69 cm/s, 9.7 ± 0.07 cm/s, and 0.47 ± 0.06, respectively; the cystic artery Vmax, Vmin, and RI after 30 min were 8.1 ± 0.92 cm/s, 3.1 ± 0.57 cm/s, and 0.61 ± 0.02. The comparison in gallbladder artery Vmax and Vmin and the drag index (RI) before and after electroacupuncture was obviously and statistically different (P < 0.01). Conclusions: Electroacupuncture on the acupoints of Yanglingquan has the potential to promote the emptying of the gallbladder. The mechanism may be related to that the smooth muscle of the gallbladder contracts after electroacupuncture and the gallbladder empties.

Background/aims Studies have shown the efficacy of stretching to increase the hip flexion range of motion but studies regarding its effects are not unanimous about the most efficient technique. The aim of this study was to compare the effect of two stretching techniques on the neuromuscular properties of the hamstring muscles. Methods A total of 18 women (aged 24 ± 2.52 years old) participated, and were divided into three groups: a control group, a passive static stretching group and a propioceptive neuromuscular facilitation stretching group. Evaluations of variables of the hamstring muscles were performed before and after the training period. The intervention was carried out for 30 seconds, three times a week for a total of 4 weeks. Results A significant difference was found in the range of motion in the passive static stretching group (pre=80.8° [±11.0] and post=94.5° [±10.2]; t(5)=−3.755; P=0.013) and in concentric torque (passive static stretching group – pre=66.3 Nm [±12.9] and post=70.0 Nm [±8.1]; t(5)=−1.267; P=0.023; propioceptive neuromuscular facilitation stretching group – pre=79.1 Nm [±12.7] and post=83.5 Nm [±11.6]; t(5)=−1.917; P=0.014; control group – pre=71.1 Nm [±10.1] and post=74.1 Nm [±14.6]; t(5)=−1.275; P=0.003). Conclusions Passive static stretching was superior to propioceptive neuromuscular facilitation when comparing the increase range of motion in hip flexion, even without neural and structural changes in hamstring muscles after a 4-week period.

Background: Signs and symptoms of impaired function of the musculoskeletal system may be targeted by treating dysfunction located elsewhere. Hypothesis: Abdominal control feedback and scapular stabilization exercise interventions would result in positive changes in pain intensity, strength, electromyography, and flexion-relaxation phenomena in women with forward head and round shoulder postures and neck movement impairment. Study Design: Pretest-posttest intervention. Level of Evidence: Level 1. Methods: A total of 135 women (aged 27.23 ± 1.9 years) with forward head and round shoulder postures were randomized to 3 groups. Group 1 received 6-week scapular stabilization exercises with abdominal control feedback (n = 45), group 2 received 6-week scapular stabilization exercises without abdominal control feedback (n = 45), and group 3 received active self-exercise as a control group (n = 45). Posture, pain, proprioception, strength, and electromyography were assessed before and after the interventions. Results: There were significant between-group differences in pain, proprioception, strength, and electromyography favoring group 1. There were significant within-group changes in posture, pain, proprioception, strength, and electromyography in both groups 1 and 2. No significant change was observed for muscle strength. Conclusion: The addition of abdominal control feedback to the scapular stabilization exercises was shown to be superior to the scapular stabilization exercises alone for decreasing neck pain and restoring proper proprioception, strength, and electromyography in females with forward head and round shoulder postures and neck movement impairment. Clinical Relevance: The addition of abdominal control feedback to scapular stabilization exercises is superior to scapular stabilization exercises alone on the neck for improving electromyography, strength, and function in females with forward head and round shoulder postures and neck movement impairment.

In general, bullying is a school tradition carried out by seniors if they don't follow their rules, although there is also a lot of peer bullying. Victims of bullying are usually reluctant to complain to other parties, including parents because they are worried that they will get worse treatment. This study aims to determine the effect of bullying victim psychoeducation intervention on reducing the anxiety of high school adolescents in the Gorontalo Regency. This research method is a qualitative study with a pre-test and post-test design without a control group. The population in this study were high school adolescents. The sample in this study were 16 respondents. Data obtained through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and primary data obtained through data obtained from families and sufferers and related research. The results showed that there was a decrease in students' anxiety levels before and after the intervention. When viewed from the mean and standard deviation as well as the score in assessing the level of anxiety after being given psychoeducation to students who experience bullying at school, there is a decrease in the signs and symptoms of adolescent anxiety towards a better direction. Psychoeducation therapy in this research is in the form of cognitive strengthening, discussion, repeated counseling, anxiety management. In this study, interventions were given to respondents through bullying-related psychoeducation so that the anxiety level of adolescents decreased.

Today is the era of modernization and fast life where everybody is busy and living a stressful life. Advancement of busy, professional and social life, continuous work and overexertion, changing life style of modern human being has created several disharmonies in his biological system. The present clinical study was conducted in Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya and Hospital Hubli to compare the combined effectiveness of Shirolepa & Shiropichu in Reducing the Perceived Stress in Employees along with Concomitant Treatments in Chittodwega caused by Occupational stress. The research Question of the study were: Whether the combined effect of Shirolepa with concomitant treatment significantly decrease the signs and symptoms of Occupational stress vis-a-vis Chittodwega ; the scores of Professional life stress scale and DSM V when compared to Shiropichu with Jyothismathi tailam followed by concomitant treatments. The design of the study was Open Labeled Double Arm (Uncontrolled) Exploratory Clinical Trail. Overall effect of therapy showed that, 70% patient was cured or markedly improved at the end of 60 days of treatment in the Shirolepa group. 30% patients gained moderate improvement. While in the Shiropichu group 35% of patients gained marked improvement, 60% were moderately improved while 5% were having mild improvement. Hence, it can be concluded that, improvement in the Shirolepa group was more significant and consistent as compared to Shiropichu group. By seeing the results it’s evident that no patient had complete remission after Shirolepa/Shiropichu followed by Nasya i.e. on 15th day. This implies that only Shirolepa or Shiropichu is insufficient for the management of Chittodwega (OS). After completion of the treatment (60days) Subjects got marked relief in the symptoms. So the present study was ideal for Occupational stress having a package of treatments for long duration.

Introduction: Paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) is a non-malignant clonal disease of hematopoietic cells with a complex pathophysiology and variable clinical spectrum, characterized by signs and symptoms related to intravascular hemolysis, hypercoagulability, and cytopenias. Metaboloma is the end product of an organism's genetic configuration plus the influence of all factors to which it is exposed. Metabolomic profile is able to provide a more accurate functional measure of a phenotype formed by the result of genomic, transcriptomic and proteomic changes. Aims: To compare a metabolomic profile in the PNH hemolytic group with healthy controls, and to compare a metabolomic profile before and after the administration of eculizumab in PNH patients. Methods: To perform metabolomic profile, we used mass spectrometry in 23 patients with hemolytic PNH and in 166 healthy adults, as control group. Twelve PNH patients samples were also collected before and 24 hours after receiving eculizumab. Liquid chromatography with mass spectrometry was performed using the AbsoluteIDQ P180 Biocrates kit (Biocrates, Life Science AG, Innsbruck, Austria): 186 metabolites from 7 different classes were identified and quantified. The data were imported to the analytical site MetaboAnalyst 4.0 and ROCCET: ROC Curve Explorer & Tester for the generation of Univariate and Multivariate Operational Characteristic curves of the Receiver (ROC). Results: In the patients with hemolytic PNH, of the 186 metabolites analyzed, 92 of them showed significant differences between patients and controls, with positive or negative correlation. The major metabolites increased in the PNH group were long-chain acylcarnitines, while the major metabolites reduced in the PNH group were histidine, taurine, glutamate, glutamine, aspartate and phosphatidylcholines. The C14:1/C16:1 ratio lower than 1.4 was shown to be a reliable marker in patients with PNH, suggesting a disorder in lipid elongation. Besides, PNH patients had a significant increase in C6:1 levels and C14:1/C6 and C4/C6 ratios. After receiving eculizumab, patients reached levels comparable to those of normal subject. Conclusion: We observed differences in the metabolome of PNH patients as compared to healthy controls, suggesting a unique metabolomic profile of these patients, characterized by an altered acylcarnitine balance, reduction in aminoacids participating in the glycogenesis pathway and an impaired glutaminolysis. Acylcarnitines levels seem to significantly reduce with the use of eculizumab, demonstrating that the use of the antibody has action in reducing hemolysis and possibly in mitochondrial function of these patients. Disclosures No relevant conflicts of interest to declare.
