Indonesia is one of the most populous countries in the world. It makes an imbalance between the availability of employment and the total population, thus causing some citizens choose to become migrant workers in order to support their families. Along with the increase in the flow of migrant workers, it is also equivalent to the emergence of various problems related to migrant workers. Therefore, the Government needs to take steps to protect Indonesian migrant workers. In this paper, the author discusses the role of the Directorate General of Immigration in the implementation of the chess function of immigration for Indonesian migrant workers, while among others the Prevention of Non-Procedural PMI, facilities for migrant workers in border areas, and also supervision for PMI abroad. The method used is Empirical Juridical, which links the legal basis in this case the regulation of laws relating to the facts that occur in the community.

In interacting with other nations within the international level, Indonesia’s traditional diplomacy is conducted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Here, it plays a role as the representative of the government. However, in today’s advanced era, diplomacy is an instrument that should involve every component of the society, including the migrant workers”. The current problematic is that there are hundreds to millions of Indonesian migrant workers residing in other countries but Indonesia has failed to actualize these workers as power for its foreign policy.  Every year, hundred of thousands of Indonesians migrate to other countries to work. These workers reside in various countries all over the world, including in ASEAN countries. Malaysia has the second largest number of Indonesian migrant workers after Saudi Arabia. Until today, these Indonesian migrants are merely considered as labor force. They are not valued as structural importance who has bargaining power in diplomatic practice.  The purpose of this writing is to operationalize the concept of multi track diplomacy in an attempt to enforce the role of migrant workers as a non-diplomatic group to further strengthen Indonesia’s diplomatic posture. As an agent of the third-track diplomacy, this writing will further describe the role of migrant workers as the foundation of diplomatic strength.

In recent years, the Directorate General of Taxes has been very intensive in providing services in the form of counseling to taxpayers. They make various work programs to provide tax awareness inclusion by involving the participation of the world of education from elementary school to university levels. One of the activities in question is forming Tax Volunteers from interested students. Tarumanagara University in this case driven by the Faculty of Economics and Business received an invitation to also be involved and the invitation was welcomed by several lecturers and became a Community Service Activity (PKM) which is one of the manifestations of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. This activity provides benefits to the community in this case to taxpayers who work or have businesses around the Untar Campus, including Untar lecturers and employees who will fulfill their tax obligations. These activities include consultation and assistance, helping to calculate and determine the amount of income tax payments that must be fulfilled by taxpayers along with filling out and reporting annual tax returns.The benefit for Tarumanagara University-especially the Faculty of Economics is the role of supporting the Government, especially in the inclusion of tax awareness. This is being promoted and programmed by the Directorate General of Taxes and at the same time to further foster relationships with the surrounding community.Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir ini, pihak Direktorat Jenderal Pajak sangat intensif memberikan pelayanan berupa penyuluhan kepada para wajib pajak. DJP membuat berbagai program kerja untuk memberikan inklusi kesadaran pajak dengan melibatkan peran serta dunia pendidikan mulai dari tingkat Sekolah dasar sampai dengan Universitas. Salah satu kegiatan yang dimaksud adalah membentuk Relawan Pajak dari para mahasiswa yang berminat Universitas Tarumanagara dalam hal ini dimotori oleh Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis mendapat undangan untuk juga terlibat dan undangan tersebut disambut baik oleh beberapa dosen dan menjadi Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) yang adalah salah satu perwujudan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. Kegiatan ini memberikan manfaat kepada masyarakat yaitu kepada para wajib pajak yang bekerja atau mempunyai usaha disekitar Kampus Untar termasuk juga untuk para dosen dan karyawan Untar yang akan memenuhi kewajiban perpajakannya. Kegiatan tersebut antara lain berupa konsultasi dan asistensi, membantu menghitung dan menentukan jumlah setoran pajak penghasilan yang harus dipenuhi para wajib pajak beserta pengisian dan pelaporan SPT tahunannya. Manfaat bagi Universitas Tarumanagara-khususnya Fakultas Ekonomi merupakan peran serta mendukung Pemerintah khususnya dalam inklusi kesadaran perpajakan. Hal mana sedang digiatkan dan diprogramkan pihak Direktorat Jenderal Pajak dan sekaligus untuk lebih membina hubungan dengan masyarakat sekitar.

This paper analyzes the problem of technological backwardness of economy. In many mostly developing countries their economies use obsolete technologies. This can create the illusion that this or that business is prosperous. At the level of international competition, however, it is obvious that these types of firms do not have any chance for success. Retroeconomics as a theory of technological backwardness and its detrimental effect upon a country’s economy is considered in the paper. The role of the government is very important for overcoming the effects of retroeconomy. The phenomenon of retroeconomy is already quite deep-rooted throughout the world and it is essential to consolidate the attention of economists and politicians on this threat.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan peran Otoritas Jasa Keuangan sebagai lembaga independen dalam melakukan pengawasan terhadap lembaga jasa keuangan di Indonesia serta kewenangan Otoritas Jasa Keuangan yang diatur dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 21 Tahun 2011 tentang Otoritas Jasa Keuangan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian hukum normatif. Dari hasil penelitian dijelaskan bahwa Otoritas Jasa Keuangan adalah lembaga yang independen dan bebas dari campur tangan pihak lain, yang mempunyai fungsi, tugas, dan wewenang pengaturan, pengawasan, pemeriksaan, dan penyidikan terhadap lembaga jasa keuangan seperti perbankan. Dasar hukum dibentuknya Otoritas Jasa Keuangan adalah Undang-Undang Nomor 21 Tahun 2011. Secara kelembagaan, Otoritas Jasa Keuangan berada di luar pemerintah, yang dimaknai bahwa Otoritas Jasa Keuangan tidak menjadi bagian dari kekuasaan pemerintah. Otoritas Jasa Keuangan dibentuk dengan tujuan agar keseluruhan kegiatan di dalam sektor jasa keuangan terselenggara secara teratur, adil, transparan, dan akuntabel; mampu mewujudkan sistem keuangan yang tumbuh secara berkelanjutan dan stabil; serta mampu melindungi kepentingan konsumen dan masyarakat. Otoritas Jasa Keuangan bertugas tidak hanya mengatur dan mengawasi perbankan saja, tetapi juga mencakup pasar modal, perasuransian, dana pensiun, lembaga pembiayaan, serta lembaga jasa keuangan lainnya.    THE ROLE OF FINANCIAL SERVICES AUTHORITY ON SUPERVISION OF FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS IN INDONESIA This research aims to explain the role of the Financial Services Authority as an independent institution in supervising financial service institutions in Indonesia as well as the authority of the Financial Services Authority as regulated in Law Number 21 of 2011 concerning the Financial Services Authority. The method used in this research is normative legal research. From the research results, it is explained that the Financial Services Authority is an independent institution and free from interference from other parties, which has the function, task and authority to regulate, supervise, examine and investigate financial service institutions such as banks. The legal basis for the establishment of the Financial Services Authority is Law Number 21 of 2011. Institutionally, the Financial Services Authority is outside the government, which means that the Financial Services Authority is not part of the government's power. The Financial Services Authority was formed with the aim that all activities in the financial services sector are carried out in an orderly, fair, transparent and accountable manner; able to realize a financial system that grows in a sustainable and stable manner; and able to protect the interests of consumers and society. The Financial Services Authority is tasked with not only regulating and supervising banking, but also covering the capital market, insurance, pension funds, financing institutions, and other financial service institutions.

Protection of female workers  in Cianjur District is indeed necessary, especially when working abroad. One of the problems is when there are many migrant workers who give birth to children out of wedlock and return to Indonesia without their husband. The purpose of this study was to determine the legal protection illegitimate child born by Women Workers in Cianjur Regency and to know the role of the government to cope with unmarried children born by Women Workers in Cianjur District. The study was analytical descriptive with the method of this research approach through normative juridical. The results of the study found that legal protection for illegitimate child  born by Indonesian Female Workers in Cianjur has a regulation protecting it, namely Article 28 of the 1945 Constitution, Law No. 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection, Article 43 paragraph (1) of the Marriage Law and Constitutional Court Decision No. 46 / PUU-VIII / 2010. The role of the government in protecting extramarital children born by Indonesian Workers in Cianjur, West Java is not optimal. The role of the village government is very helpful for women migrant workers, namely finding companies that will send their citizens. Whereas illegitimate child born by migrant workers can be protected one of them by smoothing all administrative processes for these children such as issuing a free birth certificate.

Since few years ago, Indonesian government has been concerning to gain many benefits from Indonesian diaspora in various regions in the world. There are many events and agendas provided by the government which are aimed to embrace many Indonesian diaspora for giving a great contribution towards their homelands. However, its vision for gaining attention from Indonesian diaspora tends to low because the government do not have Indonesian diaspora maps in details, comprehensive, as well as described by historical trajectory. This paper aims to understand the contribution of Indonesian Muslim diaspora by mapping the role of Indonesian Muslim Organizations in the Netherlands by socio-historical perspectives. The main reasons of the Netherlands as locus of this research are; Indonesian Muslim diaspora are the first actors who promoted Islam faces in this country since 1920s and it also was acknowledged as one of the highest Muslim populated countries in Europe. Afterwards, this paper shows that there are numerous Indonesian Muslim organizations in the Netherlands from different perspectives, mazhabs, and backgrounds. Even though the government did not pillarize Indonesian Muslim organizations, albeit most of them have strong connections with some Muslim organizations in Indonesia, starting from Nahdhatul Ulama (NU) until Salafist Movement.

The Himalayan Range is a young mountain system of the world and about 83% of the total area of Nepal is covered by high hills and mountains. Major river systems of Nepal originate from the glaciers and are perennial in nature. According to the preliminary results of the Census 2011, more than 50% of total population live in Terai and are vulnerable to flood. Since Nepal falls under the seismically active zone earthquake has been one of the major disasters experienced in the country. Fire, Glacier Lake Outburst Flood, lightening, hail storm are some other natural disaster claiming lives of Nepalese people. It is not possible to stop disasters, but the consolidated effort of different organization may make us better prepared to overcome the negative impacts of such disasters. This article tries to explore the role of Survey Department in this context.

The article analyzes the impact of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic crisis on the foreign policy and diplomacy of states, including economic diplomacy. ED is interpreted as a multi-sided multi-faceted activity, an integral part of foreign policy aimed at protecting the national interests and economic security of the country. Given the interdepartmental nature of the ED, the presence of numerous actors and agents, not only state, but also public and business structures, political and foreign economic coordination on the part of the Foreign Ministries is of great importance, and this role of foreign policy departments is increasing during the pandemic crisis. The activity of the ED of Russia in 2020 was generally successful, among the main results: active participation of diplomats in the anti-epidemic work of the Government of the Russian Federation, including export flights, provision of emergency assistance by compatriots abroad, assistance to foreign countries; measures to promote the Russian vaccine in the world, establish its production abroad, and thus win new world markets for medicines; settlement of the pricing crisis on the world oil market with the leading role of Russia and Saudi Arabia; adjustment of double taxation agreements with a number of foreign countries, taking into account the domestic economic needs of the country; the growing experience of BRICS, this interstate association, which did not know the crisis, including its fight against epidemiological diseases, during the period of Russia’s presidency in the BRICS; further steps to deepen integration within the EAEU; Russia’s success in the eastern direction of foreign policy, in the development of trade exchanges and epidemiological cooperation with the ASEAN and APEC states. The new world crisis has become a catalyst for the convergence of ED methods with scientific and public diplomacy, with other diplomatic cultures that can be combined under the general name of civil diplomacy. Such a separation is required to protect the legacy of professional diplomacy, the popularity and use of which methods is growing significantly. ED, as an integral part of official diplomacy, is presented as a mediator between classical and civil diplomacy. It provides civil society with an example of the more rigorous, pragmatic, resultsoriented work that the current pandemic crisis requires.

Children have always been a part of the war for millennia but child soldiering is often portrayed as something rather new, as a side product of the Post-Cold War in most of the fragile states in the world. Underdevelopment is a feature of the fragile state and especially political violence is a common figure in such states. This paper argues that, children's role changes in fragile states, and further focuses on children in Syrian war and their changing role in the society. While the conflict was turning into a war the role of the children both in the society and in the conflict of which increasing tension was turning it into a war. And when the country, one of the fragile states in the world, collapsed, the government lost control and the children took the sides as terrorists. Given the brief information about the changing roles of Syrian children in this dynamically violent environment, this article will examine the transformation of the role of the children in the fragile state Syria.
