The framework consisted of four main predictors namely, social influence, performance expectancy, effort expectancy and facilitating conditions, while the dependent variable was the acceptance of MyEG application. A quantitative approach was adopted, by using a questionnaire survey. A total of 396 MyEG application users in the Klang Valley were selected to participate in the survey. The data collected were analyzed using SPSS version 22. Two sampling techniques were used; simple random and purposive. Two statistics procedures were used; descriptive and inferential. The results displayed that the level of acceptance towards the MyEG application was at a moderate level. The Pearson correlation test also revealed a positive and significant correlation between performance expectancy, effort expectancy, facilities condition and social influences to the acceptance of MyEG application. The analysis showed that users had accepted the MyEG application because it was emphasized the predictor factors. Vulnerability is always related to the poor group. Vulnerability can be defined as being vulnerable to damage or ill effects because of changes in the society and the environment, and the inability to adapt to changes. In-depth understanding is important to probe what action should be taken to achieve the sustainability of the community and its environment. In Malaysia, the government has implemented various eradication programmes on rural poverty, and sustainable livelihoods, such as the agropolitan projects. Agropolitan projects are capable of achieving the objective to eradicate poverty, and the vulnerability faced by project participants which will affect their lives. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to identify the vulnerability of agropolitan participants in Malaysia by utilising the Gahai Agropolitan, Lipis, Pahang project as a case study. This study used simple random sampling and it involved 45 participants of Gahai Agropolitan Project. Data were analysed using the Descriptive Analysis and Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). The findings showed that Gahai Agropolitan Project Participants faced multi-dimensional vulnerability in terms of economic, social, and physical and environmental aspects. Therefore, the Ministry of Rural Development (KKLW) and the Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority (RISDA) need to pay more attention to reduce the vulnerability to participants of the agropolitan project, and help them to increase their income and improve their lives.

This study investigates the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on MSMEs and how Government intervention affects their capacity to survive. Through a survey of 368 respondents, namely debtors/beneficiaries, aid distributors, policymakers, and supervisors, this case study finds that the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in business delays. The finding means that the government assistance schemes are the key to business continuity for MSMEs during the COVID-19 pandemic. With the help from the Government, the business actors in the sample of this study can maintain their business. Although some MSMEs reduced the number of workers employed, some MSMEs still survived, even increased their workers and business turnover. While the research identifies key success factors of Government programs, there are also some challenges in their implementation. This study recommends that the Government continues giving assistance programs for MSMEs. In addition, the Government should relax requirements while focusing on new beneficiaries. Building an integrated MSME database is also necessary, and in the future, the Government must integrate the assistance program with financial literacy and innovation programs. The policy implication of this research is that the future programs of government poverty alleviation need to focus on MSMEs.

Students’ academic achievement greatly influenced by their parents’ socioeconomic status and involvement in their academic life. Regardless of the parents’ educational qualifications, their support helps the children gain confidence in education and then in life. This study intends to see the relationship between two independent variables: parental awareness and emotional support to children and one dependent variable: academic achievement. The study area is Jafarabad, a district in Balochistan, Pakistan. The sample size was 250, designated using the Taro Yamani formula, and a simple random sampling technique was used to choose the respondents. The questionnaire was then used to collect information. The collected data was then coded and analyzed in SPSS. Pearson correlation test was used to test the hypotheses. Significant findings show that the lack of parental awareness and interest in student’s school activities is the primary cause of their poor academic achievement at secondary school. Accordingly, the study concludes that it is the primary responsibility of parents to support their children and cooperate with school administration emotionally. Therefore, the government, specifically the district education office, and local NGOs need to run awareness campaigns on the importance of parental involvement in the children’s education, which will result in the children’s excellent academic achievement.
