Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan dan mengetahui Misi Pendidikan Kristen dalam Mewujudkan Murid Kristus, yang tentunya Murid Kristus yang memiliki karakter Kristiani dalam jemaat melalui proses pengajaran di gereja lokal. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian bersifat kualitatif dengan cara studi pustaka yakni mengkaji tentang Misi Pendidikan Kristen yang berpusat pada Kristus akan mewujudkan Murid Kristus yang memiliki wewenang untuk membangun karakter jemaat sesuai dengan ajaran iman Kristiani. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman bahwa Misi Pendidikan Kristen berperan baik dalam Mewujudkan Murid Kristus yang memiliki pembentukan karakter kristiani dalam jemaat. Oleh karena itu, disarankan agar Para hamba Tuhan dalam hal ini Gembala Jemaat memiliki loyalitas yang tinggi dalam melaksanakan tugas dan tanggung jawab sebagai rekan kerja Allah yang bukan hanya berkotbah semata, tetapi juga menyampaikan pengajaran dengan hasil terwujud adanya murid Kristus yang memiliki karakter Kristiani nyata dalam diri Jemaat, sehingga jemaat mau melibatkan diri dalam pelayanan maupun dalam penginjilan baik dalam gereja maupun di luar gereja. Kata Kunci: Misi Pendidikan Kristen, Murid Kristus, Gereja Lokal. AbstractThis study aims to describe and know the Mission of Christian Education in Realizing Christ's Disciples, which is certainly Christ's Disciples who have Christian character in the congregation through the teaching process in the local church. This research is a qualitative study by means of literature study that examines the mission of Christian Education centered on Christ will realize Christ's Disciples who have the authority to build the character of the church in accordance with the teachings of the Christian faith. The results of this study provide an understanding that the Christian Education Mission plays a good role in realizing Christ's disciples who have the formation of Christian character in the congregation. Therefore, it is recommended that the pastors of the Church of the Church Shepherd have a high loyalty in carrying out their duties and responsibilities as partners of God who not only preach, but also deliver teaching with the results of the realization of disciples of Christ who have a real Christian character in themselves Congregation, so that the congregation wants to be involved in ministry and in evangelizing both in the church and outside the church. Keywords: Christian Education Mission, Christ Disciples, Local Church

Some Christian education experts have expressed their views on how the church should develop a curriculum to educate church members to achieve maturity in the Christian faith. This article purpose to develop a curriculum for Christian education in Church ministry. The method used is a literature study on the opinions of D. CampbellWyckoff and Maria Harris. The characteristics of Wyckoff and Harris's opinions and various responses in "imaginative dialogue", as well as modifications of the Christian education Foundations, Principles andPractices schemes of Robert W. Pazmino became a model to develop a Christian education curriculum in church life. The development of the Christian education curriculum begins with setting the goal of implementing Christian education for a group in the Christian community. Furthermore, curriculum development requires thecontribution of various development foundations, including biblical, theological, philosophical, educational, scientific and technological, historical, socio-cultural, ecclesiological and psychological.

The pastor of the congregation, especially in churches that use an autonomous system of government, has a central function in preparing his successor. However, it is not uncommon for failures to occur after the implementation of succession due to the lack of functioning of the church pastor in preparing the cadre that also candidate who wil l replace him. This study aims to gain an understanding of the leadership functions that Jesus Christ performs particularly in preparing His disciples to become His substitute leaders. This research used a qualitative approach with a literature study method. The analysis is processed and reflected using the analysis description writing method. By reflecting on the leadership of Jesus Christ in preparing His successor through a session, the pastor of the church is expected to carry out the function of equipping, assigning, performing evaluation, delegating as well as exemplifying in spiritual life. By using Jesus' leadership approach, local church pastors can achieve maximum results in a leadership succession. AbstrakGembala jemaat khususnya yang berada dalam organisasi atau sinode dengan sistem pemerintahan gereja otonom memiliki fungsi sentral dalam mempersiapkan pengganti dirinya. Meskipun demikian tidak jarang terjadi kegagalan setelah pelaksanaan suksesi akibat kurang berfungsinya gembala jemaat dalam mempersiapkan kader yang juga merupakan kandidat yang akan menggantikannya. (Tujuan Penelitian) Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan pemahaman fungsi kepemimpinan yang dijalankan Yesus Kristus khusunya dalam mempersiapkan murid-murid-Nya sebagai pengganti (suksesor). (Metode Penelitian) Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kepustakaan. Analisis diolah dan direfleksikan dengan menggunakan penulisan deskriptif. (Hasil / Pembahasan) Dengan merefleksikan kepemimpinan Yesus Kristus dalam mempersiapkan pengganti-Nya melalui sebuah suskesi, gembala jemaat diharapkan menjalankan fungsi memperlengkapi, penugasan, evaluasi kinerja dan pendelegasian disamping keteladanan dalam kehidupan rohani. (Simpulan / Kesimpulan). Dengan menggunakan pendekatan fungsi-fungsi dalam kepemimpinan Yesus yang memiliki relevansi dengan pengembangan kandidat suksesor, gembala jemaat dapat mencapai hasil yang maksimal dalam sebuah suksesi.

The purpose of this paper is to describe and understand how the thought of John Calvin who was a famous reformer figure from time to time. Calvin paid great attention to Christian education especially in the church. He arranged systematically the way, the content of the teaching, as well as the qualifications, self-image of the teachers both pastors and religious teachers who were all based on the Bible and to glorify God. The method used in this paper is a qualitative research method with a literature study study in which the researcher reviews, compares, formulates and analyzes Calvin's thoughts both in his life context, his thoughts through books, documents, journals and other relevant literature studies. From the findings it can be said that Calvin's educative theological thought is purely based on the Bible. For Calvin, the teaching of the Christian faith is determined by the Bible and interpretations that are right and right and can have a good influence on the church and society. Calvin is always thinking of the right way so that the quality of the faith of the congregation continues to develop well and can be implemented in a variety of social life. In the midst of challenges today the church is required not to be carried away by various kinds of ideas that do not emphasize the Bible as the basis of human life. As it was done, Calvin the priests, teachers of religion today are required with full responsibility to think deeply about ways to continue to nourish the true Christian faith based on the Scriptures so that the quality of their faith is well preserved and lives glorifying God.

O processo da renovação catequética adquire cada dia consciência mais clara de que a catequese deve ser obra de toda a comunidade eclesial. É na Igreja local que o cristão deve aprender a dizer a própria fé com palavras e gestos, como expressão de uma experiência pessoal de Deus. A confissão da fé cristã só pode nascer do reconhecimento da voz do próprio Deus na figura de Jesus Cristo transmitida pela Igreja. Reconhecer Deus em Jesus Cristo significa encontrar nele o Sentido pleno não apenas da própria vida, mas da vida do mundo todo. Para as comunidades cristãs serem lugar privilegiado da socialização da fé, a eucaristia dominical, enquanto mistagogia ao Mistério de Cristo, deverá ser o centro da catequese. Tirar as consequências disso levaria a Igreja a rever, em profundidade, a configuração das comunidades locais e consequentemente dos ministérios.ABSTRACT: The process of catechetical renovation acquires each day a clearer consciousness that catechism should be the work of the entire ecclesial community. It is in the local Church that the Christian should learn to articulate one’s own faith with words and gestures, as expression of a personal experience of God. The perseveranconfession of the Christian faith can only emerge from the recognition of Gods own voice in the figure of Jesus Christ transmitted by the Church. To recognize God in Jesus Christ means to find in him the full meaning not only of one’s own life, but of the life of the whole world. For the Christian communities to be the privileged place of faith sharing, the Sunday Eucharist, while mystical expression of the Mystery of Christ, will have to be the center of the catechism. To obtain the consequences of this would bring the Church to review, indepthly, the configuration of the local communities and consequently the configuration of the ministries.

Abstract: This research is a qualitative study on abortion from the perspective of Christian faith. This research was conducted to provide academic arguments and scientific references for the Church against the rampant abortion practices and practices, especially in big cities including Jakarta. Using a qualitative approach, it is found that from a Christian ethical perspective, the act of abortion cannot be justified and chosen as an ethical decision because it contradicts or is contrary to the teachings of the Bible. Because God so loves human life and is even willing to send His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to redeem humans from sin. So that humans are not justified in ending the life of an innocent and wronged baby just for practical reasons. Abstrak: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif terhadap aborsi ditinjau dari perspektif iman Kristen. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memberikan argumentasi akademis dan referensi ilmiah bagi Gereja terhadap maraknya tindakan dan praktik aborsi terutama di kota-kota besar termasuk Jakarta. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dijumpai bahwa dari perspektif etika Kristen, maka tindakan aborsi tidak dapat dibenarkan dan dipilih sebagai keputusan etis karena bertolakbelakang atau berlawanan dengan ajaran Alkitab. Karena Allah begitu mencintai kehidupan manusia bahkan rela mengutus Anak-Nya yang tunggal, yaitu Yesus Kristus untuk menebus manusia dari dosa. Sehingga manusia tidak dibenarkan mengakhiri kehidupan bayi yang tidak berdosa dan besalah hanya karena alasan-alasan yang praktis.

The First Pastoral Consultation of the Diocese of Surabaya held on November 26th-28th 2009 proposed The Basic Direction of the Diocese of Surabaya 2010-2019, which is stating the desire of the Church of the Diocese of Surabaya to be“a communion of Christ’s disciples, which is more and more maturing in faith, convivial, full of service and missionary”. The Second Pastoral Consultation held on October 18th-20th 2019, keeping this purpose statement for the next 10 years inThe Basic Direction of the Diocese of Surabaya 2020-2030, thus confirms the significancy of an “Ecclesiology of Discipleship” for the formation of the people of the Diocese. This paper wants to propose a study regarding this ecclesiology based on the document of the Second Vatican Council, i.e. The Pastoral Constitution Gaudium et Spes, art. 1. Being a Pastoral Constitution on the Church in the modern world, Gaudium et Spes, opened with a statement regarding the unity of the followers of Christ and the men of this age, would be fundamentally authoritative and enlightening for reflecting the vocation of the local Church of Surabaya as “a communion of the disciples of Christ” to become aware of her mission for the world (ad extradimension), while she is, as a communion of the faith (ad intra dimension), journeyingtowards eternal unity with the God

Reports on the “mainstreaming” or integrating of mentally retarded residents of a state hospital into local churches. Several categories of participation are described, the highest being full involvement including Sunday school, worship, family night suppers, women of the church, and other events in the life of the local church. A second level of participation provides more structure through a Sunday morning worship service at the institution and a rotating Sunday afternoon service held by five local congregations. The program described focuses on music with short, highly illustrated sermons. The final level of involvement for severely impaired residents involves on-campus Christian education and worship experiences.

<p>This paper extensively presents the theme of Christian education with a focus on the Sunday school children in Kenya. The author reviews the developmental stage characteristics of the Sunday school children of the Anglican Church to express the aspect of child Christian education in the contemporary society. While Parents are entrusted with the primary responsibility of nurturing, shaping, training and equipping their children to be God-honoring, obedient, and productive members in society; this responsibility in the modern society has been passed on to secular surrogates who do the educating in their place.  It is nonetheless still the key responsibility of parents that their children receive rightful Christian education.The study is limited to children between ages two to eleven years in the church Sunday school in a Kenyan context. More so, the guidelines in this study are limited to the Sunday school for the Christian education of children in the Anglican Church of Kenya with which the author is more conversant.<em></em></p>

O artigo analisa as carências e as propostas do diálogo no Documento de Aparecida, suas perspectivas e os interlocutores da Igreja. Após breve análise do diálogo nas Conferências de Medellín, Puebla e Santo Domingo, o estudo concentra-se sobre o diálogo na V Conferência do episcopado latino-americano e caribenho. Analisa a necessidade do diálogo em dois âmbitos: no interior da Igreja, entre os discípulos-missionários de Cristo, organismos e instituições eclesiais; e o diálogo externo, que expressa a relação da Igreja com a sociedade e sua inserção no diálogo ecumênico e inter-religioso. Os dois âmbitos do diálogo são constitutivos da auto-consciência e identidade eclesial. Trata-se de uma identidade em relação, que permite ser a Igreja uma realidade de comunhão e participação, nos níveis ad intra e ad extra. Isso exige de todos uma adequada formação para o diálogo, indispensável para a vivência da fé cristã e eclesial no atual contexto plural.Abstract: The article analyses the shortcomings and the proposals of the dialogue in the Aparecida Document, its perspectives and the interlocutors of the Church. After a brief analysis of the dialogue in the Conferences of Medellín, Puebla and Santo Domingo the study concentrates on the dialogue in the 5th Conference of the Latin American and Caribbean Bishops. The need for dialogue is analysed in two circles: within the Church, between the missionary-disciples of Christ, ecclesial organisms and institutions; and the external dialogue, that expresses the relation of the Church with the society and its insertion in the ecumenical and inter-religious discussions. The two ambits of the dialogue are the base for ecclesial self-awareness and identity. It is an identity of relation that allows the Church to be a reality of communion and participation in the ad intra and ad extra levels. This demands from each and everyone a proper training on dialoguing, something that is indispensable for the experiencing of ecclesial and Christian faith in the current plural context.

Many churches and Christians are still unfamiliar with the practice of discipleship, and even if they are familiar with the term discipleship, there are still many who are reluctant or less serious in making discipleship the core of church ministry. It is for this purpose that this research was conducted. The method used is a literature study from discipleship and church experts which is analyzed to get the root of the problem and concepts that should be according to the Bible so that applications can be drawn for today, especially for Christian education patterns in church discipleship or churches that make disciples. The result of this research is the discovery of several applications that are very important for the perspective of Christian religious education related to the church and discipleship that must be continuously worked on, namely: First, Discipleship is the responsibility of all Christians. Second, Discipleship of the church has a strong impact on the spiritual growth of believers. Third, sending students to make disciples is an effective pattern of Christian education. Fourth, the importance of having a fellow disciple disciple in the same vision.
