The research aims to: Preparing rehabilitative exercises with accompanying tools to rehabilitate those with shoulder dislocation. Knowing the effect of rehabilitative exercises and accompanying aids in improving the muscular strength and motor range of those with dislocations in the shoulder joint. The two researchers used the experimental design with the same experimental group with the pre and post tests, so the researcher chose a sample appropriate to the nature of his research problem, its goals and its hypotheses, as a sample of the injured was chosen to remove the shoulder joint, who completed the treatment, who were not practicing sports, and those who went to the Physiotherapy Center at Al-Wasiti Hospital, as their number reached (10) were injured. A group of rehabilitative exercises was prepared and accompanied by auxiliary tools presented to experts and specialists in the field of sports medicine. Pre-test tests were conducted and then rehabilitative exercises were implemented to achieve the desired goal of the research. The number of rehabilitative units was 3 rehabilitative units per week and for days Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday. For a period of eight weeks, i.e. at the rate of 24 rehabilitative units and then conducting post-test. The researchers concluded the following: _ Rehabilitation exercises prepared by the two researchers with a clear positive effect on improving muscle strength and motor range among the individuals in the research sample. _ The auxiliary tools used by the two researchers have a positive effect in stimulating and provoking motivation and suspense among the injured to perform rehabilitative exercises. The researchers recommended: - To conduct similar research on other injuries and different samples and to adopt the rehabilitation approach by the two researchers in other physiotherapy centers.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of memory strategies (MSs)in improving students' ability to recall and spell newly learned vocabulary items. The researcheronly considered three types of MSs: grouping, placing new words in to a context and structuredreviewing. In addition, the study used a questionnaire that explored students' attitudes towardsMSs in general, and towards the specific MSs that they have been trained to use, as well as therelationship between MSs and motivation and between MSs and anxiety. intact groups (63 students in total) were selected from level three of the College of Languages and Translation (COLT) at King Saud University (KSU), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The two groups were assigned to the experimental group (36 students) and the control group(27students). The control group received traditional instruction that depended on the textbook without any MS training, whereas the experimental group received a combination of traditional instruction and MS training. A pre- and post-test were administered to both groups before and after the experiment to examine students' ability to recall the meaning of vocabulary items and their ability to spell them correctly. The experiment lasted for fourteen weeks through which the participants received seven MS training sessions. The study found out that MS training was effective in improving students' ability to recall the meaning of vocabulary items when needed and their ability to spell them correctly. Moreover, the results showed that the subjects of the experimental group showed positive attitude towards MSs and most of them agreed on the positive effect that MSs had on raising their motivation and reducing their anxiety while learning vocabulary.

Saudi students encounter many problems in writing skill as several studies revealed (e.g. Alhazmi, 2006; Alsamdani, 2010). Providing effective and useful feedback may help to overcome these challenges. Therefore, this study examines the effect of teachers’ written corrective feedback on female Saudi EFL students’ written essays and to what extent it affects students’ written grammatical and lexical accuracy. The sample comprises 50 foundation level students, across two groups: an experimental group (n=29) and a control group (n=21). Data were gathered over a 10-week period using a pre-/post-test/delayed post-test design for comparable groups. The findings show that although many errors were made in the writing performances, the students in the experimental group had significantly better achievements than the students in the control group on the measure. The results lend support to the efficiency of teachers’ written corrective feedback, showing it has a significant positive effect on the participants’ grammatical and lexical accuracy.

Formative assessment is known for its positive effects it has on students' achievement. This study was designed to find out the effect of formative assessment on students' motivation at the higher education level. This study was experimental in nature; intact pre-test post-test control group design was used for data collection purpose. Sample of the study was selected conveniently, which comprised of undergraduate students. Students belonging to the experimental group were taught with instructional embedded formative assessment, whereas students belonging to the control group were taught with formal teaching methods. Students of both groups were required to fill a motivation questionnaire at the start and end of the study to check the level of intervention. Data collected through pre-test and post-test were analyzed using SPSS. The findings of the current study had suggested that instructional embedded formative assessment had a significant positive effect on students' motivation towards learning at the higher education level.

Abstract This study investigated the efficacy of different feedback conditions in developing accurate and fluent production of L2 English email requests. Sixty-nine intermediate-level Vietnamese EFL university students were randomly assigned to one control and three experimental groups. All the four groups received three hours of explicit metapragmatic instruction on email requests, but only the experimental groups received written corrective feedback on their pragmatic production. One experimental group received feedback without opportunity for revision. Another experimental group received one cycle of feedback and revision, and the third group two cycles of feedback and revision. Results of a Discourse Completion Task (DCT) pre-test, immediate post-test, and delayed post-test indicated that the combination of instruction and feedback had a positive effect on the accuracy of learners’ pragmatic performance. However, no clear-cut evidence for the effect of revision on the fluency of learners’ pragmatic performance was found in the study. The findings highlight the effectiveness of corrective feedback and revision in consolidating emergent L2 pragmatic knowledge, but further research is needed to understand how much revision is sufficient to facilitate fluency development.

The current study aims to investigate the effect of using Mind Mapping technique on University students' achievement in English drama. The aim of the study is supposed to be achieved through verifying its hypotheses. The sample of the study consists of sixty EFL university students who are distributed equally into two groups, i.e. experimental and control groups. The experimental group has been taught the English drama ''Hamlet'' by using Mind Mapping technique while the control group has been taught the same material by using the traditional method. A posttest has been conducted and applied to the two groups. The required data are collected and analyzed statistically. The obtained results show that the mean scores of students' performance of the experimental group in the post test is better than that of the control group. This means that the investigated technique has a positive effect on university students' performance in English drama.

<div><p>The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of 6-week plyometric training on muscular strength in young silat athletes. Thirty-four male silat exponents (<em>M</em><sub>age</sub> = 14 ± 3.22 years) were randomly assigned to a control or experimental group (<em>n</em> = 17 for each group). The experimental group participated in conventional silat workout routine three times a week for one-hour session plus plyometric training two times a week for one-hour session. The control group performed conventional silat workout routine three times per week for one to two-hours session. The one repetition maximum (1RM) squat test was used three times (pre-, mid- and post-test). Results revealed that muscular strength performance improved for the experimental group. This improvement was 9.16% between pre- and mid-test, 18.81% between mid- and post-test, and 29.7 % between pre- and post-test. Plyometric training was shown to be effective to improve maximum strength of young silat athletes.</p></div>

Background and Study Aim. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of 6 weeks theraband training on respiratory parameters, upper extremity muscle strength and 50-100m swimming performance in swimming athletes. Material and Methods. Totally 12 male swimmers participated voluntarily and were divided into two groups as control group (n=6) and experimental group (n=6). Control group did only swimming training, experimental group did theraband exercises in addition to swimming exercises. Respiratory parameters, upper extremity anaerobic performance, shoulder extension/flexion strength and swimming performance were measured. Mann Whitney-U Test was used to determine the differences between two groups. Wilcoxon Test was used to determine intra-group differences. Results. There was no statistically significant difference between the pre and post-test values of respiratory parameters, anaerobic performance values and swimming measurements of the experimental groups (p>0.05). There was a statistically significant difference between shoulder extension and flexion values (p<0.05). As for the statistical results between the pre and post-test values of the control group, no significant difference was found in any of the variables (p>0.05). There was a statistically significant difference between the post-test values ​​of the experimental and control groups shoulder extension and flexion values (p<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference between respiratory function parameters, anaerobic performance values and 50-100m swimming degrees (p>0.05). Conclusions. As a result of the findings, it can be said that theraband training which is done as a land work with swimming training leads to positive effects in the upper extremity muscle strength and swimming performance development of youth swimmers.

Playing in general has a positive effect on child development; yet with the advancement of technology, the way children play has changed, and the effects of their play have changed as well. Some studies have shown an overall negative effect of electronic games, while others have reported the opposite. This study aims to investigate the effects of tablet-based electronic games on the child’s self-concept. Twenty-six children between the ages of 4 and 6 years from low-income backgrounds participated. They were divided into two groups; in the experimental group, children were given a tablet device with 10 educational electronic games on it, and the mothers were instructed to let them play the games for less than three hours a day in a normal home situation. The control group was not given any electronic devices. A pre- and post-pictorial measure of self-concept was used. The overall results showed no gains in self-concept for the experimental group and no differences between the groups, except in the domain of curiosity, where the control group children experienced a pre- to post-test increase.

This research aims to find out the effect of Two Stay Two stray  model towards students' learning competencies, which still below from the average and  there have no learning process that pursue the students  to be active and creative until the students can increase their learning competencies; knowledge, attitude and skill  in learning process. The research was quasi-experimental reserach with control  group post-test only design. The population of this research was X IPA grade students that devided into five classes at SMAN 4 Pariaman in academic year 2018/2019. The sample was taken by purposive sampling technique which grade  X IPA3 as the experimental group and grade X IPA1 as the control group. The result of this research showed  the average score for grade X IPA3 was (75,43) for experimental group and  (67,57) for control group in students' learning competencies. Then for  behavioural competence the  average score in experimental group was (84,21) and the control group reached (81,86) which the data was distributed normally and variant homogeneously. In hyphotesis testing was found by the formula tcount> ttable, learning competency (3,15 > 1,67), behavioural competency (1,76 > 1,67).  Based on the result of the study, it can be concluded that the Two Stay Two Stray model give positive effect for the students' learning competencies in ecosystem at SMAN 4 Pariaman.

<p>The aim of this research is to examine the effect of REACT (relating, experiencing, applying, cooperating, transferring) strategy-based instruction on 11th grade students' attitudes towards biology science and biology course and their motivation towards context-based biology. The research was used quasi-experimental method. The sample of the research consisted of 50 students attending to the 11th grade of a randomly determined public school. The 'Biology Science and Course Attitude Scale' and 'Context-Based Biology Motivation Scale' was used as data collection tools. Descriptive statistics (arithmetic mean, standard deviation etc.), independent samples t-tests and ANCOVA analysis were used in the analysis of the data. According to the findings, statistically significant differences emerged in favour of the experimental group between the pre-test and post-test scores obtained from the students' attitude and motivation scales, and these findings were interpreted as the positive effect of REACT strategy-based teaching on these variables. <p> </p><p><strong> Article visualizations:</strong></p><p><img src="/-counters-/edu_01/0765/a.php" alt="Hit counter" /></p>
