High level of legal culture is a key component for sophisticated development of a person. Legal education of schoolchildren strengthens their position in life, increases their civic engagement. The physical education process of schoolchildren, consistent with complex physical development, adequate physical preparedness and ensuring the development of special knowledge, creates quite favorable conditions for the legal education of pupils. The survey results indicated that schoolchildren have poor understanding of the role and importance of physical culture in the midst of multifaceted personality development. They do not consider the process of physical education as a tool of moral, intellectual, aesthetic, ideological and legal education.

The Second World-Wide Survey of Physical Education in schools, published under the auspices of the International Council of Sport Science and Physical Education, identifies large gaps between the promise of positive outcomes of physical education and actual outcomes. The mismatch between the policy and practice of physical education stems from deep-seated disagreements about what the goals of physical education should be; the multifaceted nature of the subject; and a lack of competence, confidence, and accountability among the teachers who are responsible for teaching physical education in schools, among other things. According to the World Health Organization, the physical and holistic health of young people and adults is threatened by increases in obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and certain cancers—in part due to increased sedentary modern lifestyles and insufficient exercise. Physical education has the potential to ameliorate the negative impact of sedentary lifestyles and exercise insufficiency. Teacher-education programs for physical education the world over advertise that teachers of the subject help young people acquire a love for physical activity and the skills to practice and enjoy sports; they also teach life skills, including teamwork, sportsmanship, problem-solving, and creativity, and help students develop the habits of a healthy lifestyle. How programs prepare physical-education teachers to deliver on these promises varies considerably. According to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, Singapore has one of the best-performing teacher-education systems in the world. It is run by the National Institute of Education in Singapore. The tight coupling of theory and practice and the tripartite relationship between the policymakers at the Ministry of Education; the National Institute of Education, where teacher training occurs; and the schools, where physical education is experienced, are the key determinants of a quality physical-education experience among children and adolescents in Singapore.

PST is a public educational sport policy of the Brazilian Federal Government for the promotion of educational sports by the Ministry of Sport (2003-2018) with the support of the Collaborating Teams. The purpose of this article is to describe who these teams were, how educational sport was thought of by them, and how these Collaborating Teams approached teachers of Physical Education who worked in educational sport centers (Core Coordinators). For description and analysis, we used the literature review with the subject of professional training, educational sport and Programa Segundo Tempo [Second Time Program] and we count on documental analysis by Bardin (2011). We have conclude that the Collaborating Teams show the possibility of intervening in the training of Core Coordinators throughout the country, and for that, these Teams were formed by trainers (university professors) who worked in the search for dialogue with the Coordinators of Sports Core. This dialogue has the potential to reinvent sport, from a traditional sport to an educational sport aiming to ensure the rights of children and adolescents to access sport and leisure in Brazil.

The market for mass sports events geared towards adults is already saturated, while more new initiatives are exclusively targeting children and adolescents. Mass sports events for amateur athletes can be a great way to encourage young people to exercise regularly, such as in cases where physical education classes do not fully play this role. A lot of research has already been conducted on the subject of adult motivation for participating in amateur sports events, i.e., marathons, ultramarathons, duathlons or triathlons. However, the research niche is children and adolescents’ motivation. The aim of this study is to recognize motivation among children aged 12 for participating in children’s running events in Poland. The study was conducted via a diagnostic survey using the Motives for Physical Activity Measure–Revised (MPAM-R) scale to determine what motivation is most important for young athletes and whether there are any differences in terms of gender. The highest values were obtained by motivation related to fun and enjoyment during sporting events, while the lowest values were obtained by motivation related to social affiliation. Aspects associated with good fun should be promoted during activities related to the marketing of sporting events for young people. This article contains the results obtained from the Poznan Half Marathon pilot study and recommendations for future lines of research. Such results will allow us to understand the motivation behind modern young amateur athletes and to better manage mass sports events that target children and adolescents.

Periodical Publications of the Abstinence Center of the Youth Circles (1925–1931) The subject of the article is the genesis and the content analysis of two abstinence periodicals addressed to the young people and published in Krakow, Wiadomości Abstynenckie (1925–1926) and Młodzież Abstynencka (1927–1931). These were the press organs of the Abstinence Center of the Youth Circles, organized in 1925 in Kraków and in Poznań the following year. The initiator of the Central Office was Fr. Mieczysław Kuznowicz, the educator of the neglected workers and the craftsmen, a clergyman from the Jesuit congregation. The primary goal of these magazines was to inform the readers about the functioning of the Abstinence Center of the Youth Circles, which through its various activities tried to reduce the alcohol consumption among the Polish youth. Wiadomości Abstynenckie and Młodzież Abstynencka have been outside of the range of interest of the press and addiction historians. The article presents the results of content analysis of the two eponymous periodicals and on the basis of selected literature on the subject. The conducted analysis confirms the validity of the assumption that the discussed periodicals, along with the other abstinence papers of that period, were the active way of fighting against the addictions, especially alcoholism among the younger generations of Poles. STRESZCZENIE Przedmiotem artykułu jest geneza i analiza zawartości dwóch pism abstynenckich, adresowanych do młodzieży i wydawanych w Krakowie periodyków Wiadomości Abstynenckie (1925–1926) i Młodzież Abstynencka (1927–1931). Jak wykazały badania, były to organy prasowe zorganizowanej w 1925 r. w Krakowie i w kolejnym roku w Poznaniu Centrali Abstynenckiej Kół Młodzieży.
