The public discourse adopted an approach to health literacy as health awareness or the ability to make decisions about health in terms of everyday life and the ability to avoid disease or protect against disease. A high level of literacy gives knowledge on how and where to look for information on the impact of various factors on health. A field audit was conducted in the direction of health literacy at randomly selected high schools in Warsaw (general, technical and vocational schools – currently industry) in the school year 2015/2016. The study involved 820 students of three types of Warsaw schools with representative sample selection. In the light of research, it turned out that adult youth from Warsaw vocational schools considerably less compared to youth from general education recognize health-threatening situations in the form of: lack of proper diet despite the indications of doctors, participation in sports and rehabilitation activities, despite the fact that about one a third of respondents reported weak, bad or even very serious health problems. In addition, relatively higher obesity compared to high school students and technical secondary schools. That is why it is important to pay special attention to education authorities (local and state) about neglect in the field of health education in schools, in particular in vocational schools.

Abstract.LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE BY HIGH-LEVEL STUDENTS IN FINANCIAL TOPICS ON EXPENDITURE AND CREDIT, SAVINGS AND INVESTMENT AND THE ADMINISTRATION OF MONEYThe aim of this paper is focused in measure the level of knowledge they have high school students about financial topics such as: spending and credit, savings and investment and money management. The participants were 368 students of different high schools in three municipalities of the State of Veracruz, México who were selected from of the stratified sample. The questionnaire is a scale that includes 31 items of multiple choices in the form of cases where there is only one correct answer of the total four options. The instrument showed acceptable Chronbach alpha reliability and internal consistency (> 0.7). The results lead us to think that there is a lack of knowledge about the usefulness of pensions, the issues related to insurance, the impact of inflation on salaries of people workers, even an interesting fact is that although it was known that there is a knowledge about the basic channels of saving, they denote lack of knowledge towards the investment instruments, especially those that by their nature are associated with the capital markets. Keywords: Financial inclusion, financial literacy, financial knowledgeResumen.

Instruction and support for students with intellectual disability in general education classes should be informed by research-based interventions. In this systematic review, we examined the focus and impact of interventions delivered in inclusive classes to support middle and high school students with intellectual disability. We identified 40 intervention studies involving 177 secondary students with intellectual disability attending a range of core academic and elective classes. These multicomponent interventions fell within five primary categories: systematic instruction, peer support arrangements, self-management strategies, peer-mediated communication interventions, and educational placement changes. Although the overall focus was fairly balanced across academic, social, and behavioral outcomes, each intervention approach prioritized somewhat different dependent measures. Moreover, although the impact of the interventions on most outcomes was positive, the methodological quality of these studies was somewhat varied. We offer recommendations for future research and practice aimed at strengthening the availability and implementation of effective interventions within inclusive secondary school classes.

This paper analyses the degree of participant (mentees, mentors, and technical-research team) satisfaction with two university mentoring programmes for pre-university students with high intellectual capacities in Spain. Three versions of a Likert-type scale questionnaire were applied (mentees, mentors, and technical-research team), resulting in a total sample of 43 questionnaires from mentors, 314 from mentees, and 43 from the technical-research team in 43 workshops offered by the GuíaMe-AC-UMA Programme; and 27 questionnaires from mentors, 203 from mentees, and 27 from the technical-research team in the 27 workshops offered by the Amentúrate Programme. The results indicate a high level of satisfaction with the development of the workshops offered by both programmes, on the part of all participants. No significant differences were found in terms of thematic area or gender, although there were differences in age. The participation of the three agents involved in this training offer was very successful, and our results supported the findings of previous investigations. More work is required on the transfer and maintenance of the impact that this type of programme can have on young pre-university students with high abilities.

The educational area is a social sector where the COVID-19 pandemic impact involves making many exponential changes. In many countries, the transition from face-to-face education to on-line education implies a revolution in the hierarchy of job domains/jobs offer. Young people’s career plans may be different under the impact of internal and external factors generated by this new context. Theoretical framework revealed that under the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic, the career decision-making process becomes more difficult to assume by taking into consideration the job nature, the sense of belonging, and the balance between passions and risks involved. By referring to these aspects a question arises: Will the pandemic also create a crisis in the career-making decision process for young people? The research group consisted of 108 undergraduates' from 12 grades, attending high schools from cities under 10,000 inhabitants. Hypothesis: There is a tendency to focus on training areas dominated by the practical aspects than the theoretical one as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. We used a Romanian adapted version of the Myer-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Questionnaire used in counseling and carrier orientation services for identification of professional interests of the students. The obtained results show that it is important for high school students to receive quality services for carrier guidance and psycho-educational support to prevent over-introversion and over-critical attitude about others and themselves, self-isolation correlated with a high level of sensing and sensitiveness.

In recent years, the health situation in Ukraine has deteriorated. According to statistics, 50% of children have poor health, 75% of children under 14 have chronic diseases, only 10% of school graduates can be called healthy. The overall incidence of children under the age of 14 increased by 16%, at the age of 15-17 - by 18%. Against this background, the level of physical development of children decreases. The current regulation has updated the work on the implementation of monitoring studies in various fields of activity and at different levels, including in the field of physical culture and sports, in order to increase the efficiency of the process of physical education of schoolchildren. Monitoring the physical development of adolescents is a complex information-analytical and prognostically important system that includes monitoring of health and physical development and its assessment, along with analysis at the level of an individual or a social group to predict future health, both for an individual and for the entire group persons united on a territorial basis or the nature of their activities. Such monitoring helps prevent negative trends in physical development in children and adolescents. Purpose: to analyze the results of monitoring the physical development and physical preparedness of students of the Lyceum Materials and methods: The analysis of materials on this issue was carried out based on the results of the implementation of the national educational initiative "Our New School" in accordance with the plan for the modernization of general education [3], according to which in 2019-2020 in secondary schools of Ivano-Frankivsk, the physical development of schoolchildren and schoolgirls was monitored 100 lyceum students 11-17 years old were examined, who were divided into 2 groups according to their academic performance: 1 gr. consisted of 50 lyceum students (35 girls and 15 boys) with high academic performance (average score 4.75), in the composition of 2 gr. it included 50 lyceum students - "lagging behind" (average score 3.5) (25 girls and 25 boys). Results: monitoring showed that, regardless of the group, lyceum students have an average level of physical development (girls - 62.1%, boys - 57.8%). Only 13.8% of girls and 14.4% of boys have a high level of physical development. Almost a quarter of high school students (23.9% of girls and 27.5% of boys) have a low level of physical development, and there are almost 2 times more such students than lyceum students with a high level of physical development. Conclusion: Summarizing the above, it should be noted that when implementing the results of monitoring physical development, there are two main directions: 1. Correction of deviations identified during monitoring in the state of development of physical condition. 2. Using student monitoring as a basis for creating a sports selection system. Based on this, we can conclude that an important component and subject of monitoring is the physical health of lyceum students, mainly in educational institutions, which contributes to monitoring and management decisions on making adjustments to the educational process.

The relationships that exist among brothers and sisters have been much less researched and observed than other kinds of family relationships. Thus, the impact of sibling dyads' gender and age difference on Turkish adolescents' communication satisfaction and trust was examined. The sample consisted of 272 (154 female, 118 male) Turkish high school students, all of whom were aged between 14 and 18 years and had 1 younger sibling. They were asked to complete the Sibling Communication Satisfaction Scale and the Dyadic Trust Scale. A significant gender difference was obtained for both trust and communication satisfaction, wherein females were more likely than males were to trust and be satisfied with their level of communication with their siblings, especially in the case of same-gender siblings. However, no significant result was found for age difference in terms of either trust or communication satisfaction.

Insofar as race, class, and gender have profound effects on people’s environmental experiences, and consequently their activism, the environmental field needs more work on the environmental experiences and insights of groups whose voices have been missing, including youth of color who live in urban areas in the U.S. In this paper, we focus on African American and Latinx students engaged in environmental projects in their urban communities and the impact of such projects on promoting pro-environmental leadership, agency, and behavior. We draw from written reflections and focus group interviews of several hundred 4th–12th graders (majority middle- and high-school students) who participated in place-based civic science projects. Thematic analyses of student responses found that students engaged in work on local environmental issues cultivated an appreciation for the natural world and an understanding of human-nature interdependence and the ties between the local environment and their communities’ health. Through taking action with others in their communities, students viewed themselves as contributors to their communities and started to form environmental identities in ways that are not traditionally measured. Findings point to the need for forms of environmental education that are contextually grounded and centered on environmental justice in urban areas.
