My intention is to draw attention to pedagogical studies, and more specifically Pedagogy that according to ISCED-F 2013 classification belong to broad field named Education. The rationale for taking up this subject is the special and requiring reflection situation of pedagogical studies, including its relation to teacher training In my opinion, in Poland pedagogical studies has begun the next stage of its functioning and it will most likely change significantly in the upcoming years. In the article, I argue that the perspective of changes in pedagogical studies is determined not only by the general direction of changes in academic education, but also by following factors:(1) the new situation of pedagogy as a scientific discipline, which is the basis for the analysed field of study, (2) pedagogization of social life, which results in broadening the fields of activity for graduates in pedagogy. The aim of the article is to raise the issue of the specificity of pedagogical studies, to indicateitscurrent condition and to outline both the problems it face and perspectives it has

Worrell and Krier’s ‘Atopia Awaits! A Critical Sociological Analysis of Marx’s Political Imaginary’ raises serious issues regarding Marx’s legacy. They hold that a fatal flaw in Marx’s framework can be detected in his account of a post-capitalist society, which reveals a theoretically impoverished and politically dangerous neglect of essential features of social life. I argue that there are good reasons to reject Worrell and Krier’s thesis that Marx got immensely important things horribly wrong. Marx’s limited remarks on post-capitalist society are certainly inadequate in numerous respects. However, they point in the right general direction, and Worrell and Krier fail to offer a satisfactory alternative. The prospects for a critical social theory adequate to the immense challenges of the 21st century would be harmed if their readers agreed with the paper’s main thesis.

<div><p class="AbstractEnglish">The impact of critical land create reduction quality of soil characteristics, which can interfere with the function of conservation, production, economic, and social life of the community. The objectives of this research are to analyzing and mapping of critical land, reviewing relevance of critical land distribution to the spatial pattern and making direction of rehabilitation in regional development in Kendal. The analytical methode which is used in this study were selecting parameters of critical land  and overlay using GIS to map the distribution of critical land. The result of this research is the critical land area in modification parameter is 34.317,87 ha, and parameter of P. 4/V-Set/2013 is 19.535,96 ha. General direction for land rehabilitation is vegetative conservation activity and technical civil conservation for erosion and sedimentation control. Direction for regional development in forest area is to develop PHBM through activity of agroforestry, community forest, ecotourism and medicinal plant cultivation in the forest. Direction on the farm cultivation area, especially on abandoned land and yards, is by optimization of community forest, by planting activities using perennials plant, MTPS and fruits plant, to control critical land, soil conservation and water management as well as increase community incomes by selling products from community forests.</p></div>

Is the field of Competitive Intelligence (CI) or Intelligence Studies (IS) a proper scientific field of study? The empirical investigation found that academic and professional within CI and IS could not agree upon what dimensions, topics or content are handled by their own area of interest that is not covered by other areas of study. In fact, most topics listed as special for CI and IS are covered by other established scientific journals. Most topics are covered by other disciplines. The data also showed that the same group could not list any analysis that is not used by other areas of study. It shows that a majority of the analyses the respondents think are unique to their study come from the area of strategy and military intelligence. However, this does not mean that CI and IS does not have its own place or niche as a study and discipline. It is suggested here, but further investigation is encouraged, that CI and IS brings a number of unique dimension to the social sciences.

Chapter 6 expands upon fundamental arguments put forth in the preceding chapters to further assert the importance of centering choreography within the discourse that surrounds the field of immersive theater studies. In addition, this chapter looks forward, speculating on the potential contributions of dance to the changing landscape of immersive performance, as strategies used to create participatory performance and experiential entertainment are increasingly adopted within commercial business sectors. The book concludes with a defense of dance as a broad field of study, and a call to properly acknowledge its contributions to the development of new cultural forms, including the innovation of immersive performance.

The significant aspect of the migration process is the adjustment to the socio-cultural as well as work conditions of the host country. Expatriates’ by and large, come from quite different socio-cultural backgrounds and different work conditions. They are acquainted with different norms and used to different work ethics which have shaped their performance and relations with persons at work. They have to work in a new situation with new personnel and have to adjust to the entire new socio-cultural and working scenarios. It is interesting yet a problematic phenomenon to study their social life, their adjustment to the new socio-cultural milieu, work environment and adoption to innovation in professional arenas. Thus, if the expatriates in one hand can adjust to the situation, they may perform their job well and complete their assignment; otherwise, their stay in the host country will adversely be affected. Thus, socio-cultural adjustment along with innovation adoption is an important phenomenon that affects expatriates’ stay in the host country, their performance at work and relation with co-workers. The research will carry out using the secondary sources; an overview of existing literatures. It will help to rectify the factors associated to suitable candidates for the organizations/institutions to hire the competent and multiskilled expatriates to host country.

This article points out to some aspects of knowledge management in the educational process of a higher education school and its surroundings. Without proper human capital of lecturers (academic staff), students and the structural capital of the school, the expansiveness, movement and conversion of knowledge would not be possible.In a knowledge society, the role of academic education is widely perceived, and its tasks and missions continue to intensify, attempting to keep up with the increasingly globalized contemporary world – in different areas and fields, in which a human being operates, having an influence on its continuous progress, namely evolution.Academic education is the driving force of economic and social life. Academic thought, scientific potential and scientific research conducted at higher education schools, co-operation between academics and students in this field with public administration and scientists (the university environment), on whom the future of the nation depends, are just key demands presented in this article.

The entire world is facing with the impact and consequences of the COVID 19 pandemic, what is reflected in various spheres of social life. In the conditions of the crisis management, companies are forced to adapt to the new situation in order to survive on the market. Sales companies have had to make changes in their former business; namely in their organization, logistics, retail supply channels that are now oriented towards the online sales without contact when delivering to customers. The Civil Protection Headquarters of the Republic of Croatia has brought a Decision by which are regulated the working hours and the method of work in the trade business during the Coronavirus epidemic, according to which it is obligatory for all stores to organize their work in compliance with general anti-epidemic measures and special recommendations of the Croatian Institute of Public Health. In the paper are listed and analyzed changes in the sales operations of the two companies due to the pandemic crisis; one company deals with the sale of agricultural machinery and the other with the sale of food products.

For the first time in history, the education system has experienced a crisis situation on a global scale, leading to total and forced isolation in social life and communication. In March 2020, full-time classes at universities in Poland were suspended due to the epidemic caused by the COVID-19 coronavirus. This state of affairs resulted in the need to shift scientific and didactic work to be “remote”. This article aims to present students’ opinions on e-learning and blended learning after several months of experience with such forms of learning. The main research problem was formulated as follows: “What are the Polish students’ opinions of e-learning during the pandemic?” The method of diagnostic survey and the questionnaire technique called the SWOT were used in the empirical research. The research was conducted in May and June 2020 in three selected universities. A total of 314 students took part in it. The results indicate that remote teaching has both specific strengths and weaknesses and that there are many opportunities and threats associated with this form of teaching; nevertheless, a larger proportion of the data were related to the weaknesses. Undoubtedly, there are still many activities that should be introduced into practice and everyday academic education. Perhaps a creative solution will be to introduce only some elements of distance learning, which can contribute to a better acquisition of IT and digital competences and can help students develop activity, self-discipline, and independent learning.

THE ESSENCE OF CULTURAL STUDIESThe article presents Polish cultural studies as a scientific discipline and as a field of study. The most important issues used to characterise the essence of cultural studies are as follows: its relation to political science and politics as such; interdisciplinarity, digitisation and globalisation, humanities, humanism and anti-humanism. Polish cultural studies, which is dynamically developing, is variously defined. Therefore, it is difficult to clarify the essence of a field and area which is so hybrid and fluid. However, in the present world, it is worth remembering the principle importance of the humanities and their mission. Cultural studies is one of the key areas where the mission of the humanities is realised.

ABSTRACT This research considers that the inclusion of theater in the initial teacher training represents a significant improvement of curriculum and teacher professional development. Several worldwide initiatives aimed to raise the quality of initial teacher training is one of the current reforms’ axes and agreement that improving educational system depends on the quality of their teachers. However, the current demands in education go beyond a set of measures or resources. Education requires a new professor, an integral and effective communicator, capable of handling different types of languages and dialogues with multiple intelligences. An innovative teacher, who is able to understand the cultural diversity of a society which constantly renews its knowledge of the universe and that has changed the social life and the nature of its spatialtemporal relationships. Using a multidisciplinary approach, it is intended to show that theatrical resource contributes significantly to the construction of a new teachers’ profile, by putting at his disposal communication tools (verbal and non-verbal) which allow him to enhance different aspects of his professional development: physical, cognitive and emotional. RESUMEN Esta investigación considera que la inclusión del teatro en la formación inicial del profesorado representa un aporte significativo para el mejoramiento del currículo y del desarrollo profesional docente. Diversas iniciativas en el mundo apuntan que elevar la calidad de la formación inicial del profesorado es uno de los ejes de las actuales reformas y concuerdan en que la mejora de un sistema educativo depende de la calidad de sus maestros. Sin embargo, las exigencias en materia educativa van más allá de un paquete de medidas o recursos. La educación requiere un nuevo educador, un comuni-cador integral y eficaz, capaz de manejar diversos tipos de lenguaje y de dialogar con múltiples tipos de inteligencia. Un docente innovador que comprenda la diversidad cultural de una sociedad que renueva su conocimiento del universo cons-tantemente y que ha modificado la vida social, así como la naturaleza de sus relaciones espaciotemporales. Mediante una perspectiva multidisciplinar, se pretende demostrar que el recurso teatral contribuye de manera importante en la construc-ción de un nuevo perfil del docente, en tanto pone a su disposición herramientas comunicativas (verbales y no verbales) que le permiten potenciar diversos aspectos de su desarrollo profesional: físico, cognitivo y emocional. Contacto principal: [email protected]
