The educational field is inserted in a context of multiple actors, actions, and social implications, requiring the use of several viewpoints to understand its movement. As a result, this work aims to remember part of the training path and research trajectory of the Research Group -Teacher Education and Profession (FOPROFI), of the Graduate Program in Education of the Federal University of Ouro Preto. In order to do so, some of the research developed by the group that helps in the composition and knowledge of the field of teacher education, in the teaching occupation and in educational institutions will be treated. The researches were selected after the bibliographic survey of the works in the university repository. In addition, we sought to outline some considerations regarding these fields and their intersection in the experience of training and professional development in the Region of Inconfidentes and their social impact in understanding educational challenges. We understand that the actions organized by the research groups go beyond the frontiers of research through the formation and social insertion of subjects– teacher and studentin society. For this reason, it is important to promote education through in Networks Research, whether they are articulated with other educational institutions or within the research group itself, collaborating to improve education at regional and national levels.

Abstract This article focuses on the social impact of educational sciences. It introduces a framework for studying the social impact of research and uses it to analyze the social impact of the work of a research group studying learning difficulties at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland. The framework suggests that the social impact of research can be understood in terms of the context of impact. This context is composed of four interacting dimensions: epistemic, artefactual, social-institutional, and spatial-geographical dimensions. In addition, the paper suggests that the understanding of the phenomena to be studied and mediating artefacts based on this understanding play a key role in the expansion of the social impact in the educational sciences. The article provides a means of analyzing the narratives of longer-term impact of research and suggests that even in education—a classical area of advancing public good—the distribution of mediating artefacts is increasingly likely to be realized through markets.

For a Dalit, especially from a rural background, it is not easy to survive in the higher education system in India because it is overwhelmingly dominated by the upper caste, class, and English-speaking people. It is not uncommon for Dalit learners like us to face multiple discrimination, and even exclusion in higher educational institutions. Intersectionality between these three factors abounds in institutions of higher learning. The transition from native language to English has not been an easy task for me, for in my educational journey, I have discovered that English is not just a language but also a commodity. It is becoming increasingly easy for economically well-off people to acquire education in English and dominate the spheres of educational institutions in India. They are usually considered as knowledgeable and intellectual persons. On the other hand, Dalit students also want to take education in English but, most of them are not able to do so because of their caste background and rampant discrimination. This study is based on my own experience and fieldwork at the University of Delhi through a semi-structured questionnaire.

The article is devoted to the problem of developing professional competences of future teachers of foreign languages during the pedagogical internship while studying at the university. In connection with a constant rise in qualification requirements for the teaching staff of educational institutions of various levels, it is necessary to develop an efficient model for training future specialists in the educational field, enabling high-quality training for the sound solution of modern professional problems. The main professional educational program is focused not only on the quality and volume of acquired knowledge, skills and abilities, but also the level of competency development. All educational disciplines are aimed at developing both general and professional competences; however, it is the pedagogical internship organized during the study at the university that allows evaluating the level of their development in the context of professional activity, to identify possible gaps in professional and pedagogical knowledge, skills and abilities, to identify ways to overcome them. The aim of the research is to develop an efficient model for building professional competences of future specialists in the field of teaching foreign languages during pedagogical internship. The study revealed that such a model should include determining the aims of internship, developing its work program containing all the necessary information about the internship, holding an introductory conference with students, a detailed analysis of all the points of an intern’s individual assignment, explaining the requirements for reporting documentation, methodological support and controlling students during the internship, stocktaking exercise with a clear assessment procedure. The key indicator of the success of pedagogical internship is the level of development of professional competences of future specialists.

Undoubtedly, the initial education of teachers has been a constant concern of contemporary society since the end of the First World War, as evidenced in the constant emergence of new pedagogical thought, discourse and educational institutions that highlight the need for pedagogical renewal at the initial stages of teacher education. Throughout this period, good teacher education has remained key in the belief that school must transform society if democracy is to be safeguarded. At an international level, this has been defended by educational theorists of the calibre of Eduard Spranger and Georg Kerschensteiner; in Catalonia, it is seen in the work of Joan Bardina’s “Escola de Mestres” (1906–1910), the Catalan government’s “Escola Normal” (1931–1939) and the University of Barcelona’s ”Seminari de Pedagogia” (1930–1939). The article looks at the history of this concern, from its origins at the beginning of the last century to the present day, and concludes by proposing what the initial stages of teacher education will need in the future.

The Institute of Hungarian Literary and Cultural Studies at the University of Debrecen formed a research group in 2010 in order to launch the research of Hungarian realms of memory. This paper was written within the frameworks of the research group. Its basic hypothesis is that the identification of Hungary as the Bastion of Christendom is an established part of Hungarian collective memory. This paper attempts to demonstrate the changes of this realm of memory, regarding its meaning and function, from its formation up to the present day.

The application of constructive geometric modeling to pedagogical models of teaching graphic disciplines today is a promising direction for using computer technology in the educational process of educational institutions. The essence of the method of constructive geometric modeling is to represent any operation performed on geometric objects in the form of a transformation, as a result of which some constructive connection is established, and the transformation itself can be considered as a result of the action of an abstract cybernetic device. Constructive geometric modeling is a popular information tool for information processing in various applied areas, however, this tool cannot be appreciated without the presence of appropriate software systems and developed design techniques. Traditionally, constructive geometric modeling is used in the design of mechanical engineering, energy, aircraft and shipbuilding facilities, in architectural and design engineering. The need to study descriptive geometry at the university in recent years has something in common with the issues of mastering graphic packages of computer programs in the framework of the new discipline "Engineering and Computer Graphics". The well-known KOMPAS software product is considered the simplest and most attractive for training. It should be noted the important role of graphic packages in the teaching of geometric disciplines that require a figurative perception of the material by students. Against the background of a reduction in classroom hours, computer graphics packages are practically the only productive teaching methodology, successfully replacing traditional tools - chalk and blackboard.

The crisis of values is pervasive resulting in adverse development in all walks of life. Misra, Srivastava and Gupta (1995) have found that present emphasis on personal growth as opposed to societal development, non-commital attitude, inconsistency in behaviour across situations, increase in violence, corruption, indiscipline and social tension have become parts of the contemporary reality experienced in everyday life of people. There is a progressive erosion of values resulting in public life. Educational institutions are no exception. A proper value system must be inculcated by educational institutions through educational process based on rationality, scientific and moral approach to life. It would be possible to serve the need of the hour through proper value orientation among teacher education programmes.
