The subject of this paper is theoretical and empirical research of students' motivation, teaching focus and students' and teachers' roles in the teaching process of higher education. The research presented in the paper was conducted on a sample of two pedagogical faculties: the Preschool Teacher Training College in Kikinda in Serbia and the Faculty of Pedagogy in Pitesti, Romania during the 2019/2020 school year. The findings show that students' motivation to learn is moderately high, and that internal motivation is more prevalent than external. Most of the students state that they take the role of participants in teaching process, and that their teachers take the role of a source of knowledge. The teaching focus, based on the students' answers, is predominantly focused on the content of teaching. These results indicate a solid but not satisfactory picture of pedagogical practice. It is necessary to shift the focus of teaching to students, to develop a democratic climate ng in which teacher represents support of the learning process (the role of catalyst of the learning process), and to develop students' initiative, independence and responsibility in learning, which strengthens the role of active, independent participants. To this statement also contributes the finding that the teaching focus on the sample in Romania was far more focused on students than in Serbia, and that the internal motivation of students in Romania was far higher than the internal motivation of students in Serbia. Moreover, a relatively more favorable pedagogical picture of the faculties in Romania, in line with the statistically significant differences in relation to Serbia, is in line with the general picture of a country with a better socio-economic position and management (as an EU member). Therefore, the results of this study are in many ways interesting and relevant, and as such can be important to theorists and practitioners from a psycho-pedagogical, but also from the point of view of management in education.

The relationship between logarithmic and rhythm therapy is multifaceted, which explains the good opportunities for their application in a primary school in students with fluency and tempo-rhythmic organization of speech, which form the picture of development- stuttering. Research related to the pedagogical aspects of this application is relevant, as the problem is analyzed mainly theoretically as related to other scientific fields. This article presents methods for corrective work, which is also the concept of this framework of speech therapy rhythmic: object, subject, goal and tasks. A theoretical analysis on the topic was made and a study of the role of logarithmic and rhythm therapy from the point of view of pedagogues in primary school was presented. Тhe results are analyzed in terms of their applicability and adequacy to the learning process and pedagogical practice.

One effort that teachers can do to improve their learning process is by developing learning resources for themselves and their students. Teachers can use student workbook (LKS) to be used as a source of learning for students. A student workbook that contains material summaries can help students more effectively understand the materials. Student workbook containing a variety of practice questions is believed to affect the effectiveness of student’s learning. This research aims to analyze the effects of using student workbook (LKS) towards the effectiveness of students’ learning. This research was conducted to see students' perceptions of the role of using student workbook (LKS) towards the effectiveness of student learning. To collect data, this study used a questionnaire distributed to 24 students using a survey administration application, consisting of six questions related to the students' perceptions of the role of using student workbook (LKS) towards student’s learning process. After all, participants had completed the questionnaire, the data were then categorized based on relevant findings. The findings reveal that the use of student workbook gives beneficial impact on students’ learning since it can be one of the sources of learning besides the teacher’s explanation. It also makes students easier in understanding the materials with simple content and various practices. In the end, this research hopefully can be useful as a reference or guide for future researchers who want to conduct similar research on the use of student workbook (LKS) as one of the resources in the teaching process.

This paper aims to investigate the “sense” of appropriation of the iPad use by teachers in a professional secondary school. As iPads are increasingly employed in the teaching process in classroom the authors intend to understand how the process of teachers' appropriation of iPad use is perceived as a learning tool. Through the analysis of focus groups with teachers, they intend to detect changes in the sense of appropriation of the iPad in classroom during a school year. The findings of their study allow to identify facilitating and hindering elements that support the process of teachers' appropriation of iPads and open further spaces to investigate the role of new technologies in teaching/learning contexts.

In a context of massification, students of open access programs in higher education encounter more learning difficulties than their counterparts of the regulated system. In the educational literature, these learning difficulties are mainly explained by deficiencies attributable to the students; their perception is seldom taken into account. This led us to explore such difficulties from the learner's point of view in an unregulated system, namely the economics and management courses of the Mohammed V University in Rabat. This exploration was based on a discriminant analysis conducted on a sample of 122 students. The results of this study, while confirming the important role of the student's behavioral and metacognitive commitment in the learning process, emphasize the deficiencies of the institution and the professors that also explain a main part of learning difficulties. They also highlight the lack of accompaniment of learners from their pupil status to that of students which reveal the early appearance of these difficulties.

Education plays a role in human life to prevent people from poverty, underdevelopment, and ignorance so that it is necessary to change the way of thinking of humans themselves to overcome these problems. The progress of the human mindset is a form of change and cannot be separated from the achievement of creativity. This article aims to describe and explain the use of mind maps in mathematics learning from a progressivism point of view through the learning process carried out from the primary and secondary education levels to produce creative products that can help students improve learning achievement through the role of the teacher as a facilitator and students as a learning center. This article uses literature study method, data is collected and analyzed as secondary data including books, journals and proceedings relevant to the topic. The results showed that the mind map method could be used by teachers and students to change the concept of thinking through active student involvement through the making of mathematics learning materials, addition and building space and the area of a circle in an attractive graphic form. Progressivism views that progress in thinking is a process of change and through the mindmaping learning method the concept of subject matter can be visualized in the form of a graphic infrastructure that can stimulate the right and left brains so that it can be useful to free students from the snare of rules when starting to learn. The conclusion of this study is a change in mindset that is in line with the viewpoint of progressivism philosophy is through a mind map learning model that can produce student creativity products and the role of the teacher as a facilitator can occur.

The aim of this article is to analyse the position and role of the European Commission in the procedure provided in the regulation on a general regime of conditionality for the protection of the European Union’s budget. For this purpose the scheme of this procedure was analysed, by interpreting the relevant regulations using the dogmatic method and considering opinions of the EU institutions and views of the scholars. A comparative method has also been applied. The new position of the Commission in the procedure for protection of the EU budget has been compared with the position it plays in the existing instruments. The analysis made from the point of view of the position of individual institutions in the new procedure, although it does not allow predicting how they will be implemented. The conducted analysis demonstrates that the European Commission – an institution of Community character – has gained wide competences, and in applying them it has been given a wide range of discretion. On the one hand, the introduced regulations exemplify a new paradigm in creating mechanisms for protection of the rule of law. On the other hand, they raise doubts as to their compliance with EU law. However, they undoubtedly constitute a decisive step towards increasing the effectiveness of the EU's instruments for the rule of law protection.

AbstractThe paper's purpose was to prove that teaching the principles of client – centred therapy on students from rehabilitation engineering area, is an important step in developing their praxiologic competences. The new qualification, supported by project TEORO - POSDRU/86/1.2/S/63545, “rehabilitation engineering” was developed in a new master degree program, in 3 universities from Romania, were the students are trained to adapt the environment to functional potential of persons with disabilities in order to facilitate their independence in daily activities. The research started from the observation that this kind of tools is not often found on the market. According to client – centred therapy principles, the person with disabilities should be the key point in the reasoning process, because it means that he/she will use the adjustment made by specialist. Our research was focused in the first session, on discovering the client point of view concerning the adapted equipment. The conclusion of this research confirms the hypothesis presented in the paper and from the teaching process perspective, all the students recognized as an important experience their involvement in the experimental research made by questionnaires, interview and results statistics.
