ABSTRACTThis study aims to improve students' mathematical communication skills through the application of cooperative learning model Match Mine on the subject of integers in classVII MTs2 Medan. This type of researchis a classroom action research. The subjects were students of class VII-1 MTs 2 Terra in TA 2014/2015 which amounted to 42students. The object of this research is the students' mathematical communication skills through cooperative learning model Match Mine on  the     subject of         integers. The research instrument used is th eobservation and test mathematical communication skills. This study consisted two cycles and at the end of each cycleis given test comunication is mathematical ability. Before given, test           first      validated to the  validator. The results showed that cooperative learning model in the material Match Mine integer scan improve students' mathematical communication. It is seen from the results before action is given, the provisi on of diagnostics tests of 42 students only as many as 15 students (35.72%), which reached a value ≥ 65 with an average value of 58.18 class. After agiven action, the first mathematical communication skills tests in the first cycle, from 42 students as many as 25 students (59.52%) reached a value ≥ 65 with an average value of 66.95 class. From theanalysis ofthe test data communication capabilities mathematicalI on the second cycle of 42 people found that the students are 37 students (88.09%) reached a value ≥65 with an average value of 74.38 class. Based on observation, learning management research conducted in the first cycle, including both categories with a scoreof 2.87. Furthermore,in the second cycle, the researcher's ability to manage the learning increased to 3.40 so very good category. Based on the above results, it can be conclude edthatby implementing cooperative learning model Match Mine can improve students' mathematica lcommunication on the subject of integers in class VII MTs 2 Medan. Suggestions submitted to the seventh grade math teacher at MTs Negeri 2 Medan advis able to provide training to students that many require students to provide arguments that students' mathematical communication skills especially in explaining aspect scan be increased, as well asprovide the opportunity for students express ideas/ideas verbally/ writing in the learning process, andusing learning modelKeywords : mathematical communication, communication, secondary school, classroom action                      research, match mine.

Abstract. This study aims to (1) improve students' mathematical communication skills through the STAD Type Cooperative Learning Model with the Reciprocal Teaching Approach in MTs Islamiyah Medan, (2) describe the process of implementing the STAD Type Cooperative Learning Model with the Reciprocal Teaching Approach at MTs Islamiyah Medan. This research is a class action research with 31 students of VII-2 MTs Islamiyah Medan subject. Instruments used include learning implementation observation sheets, mathematical communication observation sheets, and mathematical communication test questions. Implementation of the STAD Cooperative Learning Model with the Reciprocal Teaching Approach includes: (1) Initial Activities: the teacher conveys apperception and motivation regarding the material to be studied; (2) this activity: group work which includes Clarifying discussion, Predicting discussion Questioning discussion, Summarizing discussion, discussion of LKS questions, and group percentage; (3) Closing: the teacher together with students draw conclusions on the material that has been learned. After learning takes place there is an increase in students' mathematical communication skills. This can be seen from the results of observations of the implementation of learning an increase in the percentage from cycle I to cycle II amounted to 90.90% to 94.45% with a very good category of accuracy. Furthermore, the results of observations of students' mathematical abilities also increased from cycle I by 75.00% (good category) to 82.41% (good category) in the second cycle. This is in line with the results of a mathematical communication test that has increased after the second cycle, which is as many as 27 students or 64.52% of the number of students in class VII-2 has increased in total scores to good categories. Keywords: Mathematical Communication, Cooperative, STAD, Reciprocal Teaching.

Students’ low mathematical communication skill is influenced by several factors such as learning models applied by teachers in the classroom and the students’ learning motivation. Advanced organizer Model is appropriate to improve the students’ low ability. This study aims to determine whether: (1) there is an influence of advance organizer model toward the mathematical communication skill; (2) there is an influence of learning motivation toward the students’ mathematical communication skill, and; (3) there is an interaction between learning model and motivation toward mathematical communication skill. This research employs quasi-experimental design and the statistical analysis used is the two-ways variance with unequal cells. The result of this research shows that: (1) there is an influence of advance organizer model toward mathematical communication skill; (2) there is an influence of learning motivation toward students’ mathematical communication skill, and ; (3) there is no interaction between learning model and motivation toward mathematical communication ability.

This study aims to determine how the effect of problem-based learning models and gender on students' mathematical communication skills. By using data sources, namely primary data sources and secondary data, the primary data sources in this study were data that contained the research title, and secondary data in this study were supporting books related to the research title. The method used is the literature study. The results of this study indicate that the problem-based learning model has an influence on mathematical communication because each step in learning can support the development of students 'mathematical communication skills, the gender-based learning model has an influence on students' mathematical communication skills , but between female and male students different abilities.

Mathematical communication skills of students are still relatively low. One learning model can improve students 'mathematical communication skills and at the same time students' mathematical disposition is the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The aim to be achieved is to find out the improvement of students 'mathematical communication skills and mathematical disposition using PBL models in terms of students' initial mathematical level. This research is an experimental research design with pretest posttest control group design. The research population was Grade VII students of SMP 9 Langsa. Students are grouped into two classes namely the experimental class and the control class randomly selected from eight parallel classes. The instrument used was a test of mathematical communication skills and a mathematical disposition questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using two-way ANOVA. The results showed that improving students 'mathematical communication ability and students' mathematical disposition by applying PBL learning models is better than students applying conventional learning models. There is no interaction between the PBL learning model with student level on mathematical communication skills and students' mathematical disposition.
