Abstract: In the present study herbal Hair oils were formulated. Hair is one of the vital parts of the body and a protective appendage on the body and considered accessory structure of integument along with sebaceous glands, sweat glands and nails. Hair oils are widely used by the consumer of the cosmetic industries. The hair oil samples comply for the requirements of color, odour, PH, Viscosity, Density, acid value. Present investigation was undertaken to standardize the selected herbal hair oils on physicochemical parameters and some standard. Excellent results were seen in formulation prepared by boiling method of oils preparation technique. Keyword: Herbal preparation, Hair oil, Acid value, Saponification value AIM: To Formulate & Evaluate Polyherbal Hair Oil. Objectives:  To collect information about Marketed herbal hair oils.  To prepare polyherbal hair oil.  To explore the use of Neem, Banyan tree of Arial root & Amla  To study evaluation of hair oil such as PH, Viscosity, Density, Refractive index, Acid value, Saponification value.  To achieve best formula for the hair oil using herbal ingredients.

Diabetes mellitus is a global cause of morbidity and mortality. There is a continuous rise in the patients of diabetes in Pakistan. Many conventional and natural origin medicines are available for maintaining optimum blood sugar level. There is a need to carry out standardization of the natural origin medicine to authenticate their efficacy and safety. The objective of this research work was to carry out preliminary pharmacognostic, phytochemical, biological, pharmacological studies on poly-herbal formulation. The poly-herbal preparation was prepared and evaluated for the standard pharmacopeial tests. The results of the tests performed were found to be adequate to evaluate the poly-herbal formulation and may be used as reference standards in future for further studies.

Предменструальный синдром (ПМС) - патологический симптомокомплекс, который значительно снижает качество жизни женщины. Несмотря на то, что этиология и патогенез до настоящего времени изучены недостаточно, определены направления в диагностике, лечении и профилактике, которым необходимо следовать. Лечение ПМС должно быть дифференцированным, учитывающим состояние общего и репродуктивного здоровья женщины, сопутствующие заболевания, степень тяжести ПМС, переносимость терапии и т. д.В настоящее время все более широкое применение в лечении ПМС находят фитопрепараты (ФП). Целью исследования явилось изучение эффективности фитопрепарата «Эвика» в лечении ПМС легкой и средней формы. Полученные результаты свидетельствуют об эффективности данного препарата в устранении вегетососудистых, отечных и психоэмоциональных симптомов ПМС, что определяет «Эвику», как препарат выбора у пациенток с ПМС, выраженной вегетососудистой и психоэмоциональной симптоматики. Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is a pathological symptom complex that significantly reduces a woman's quality of life. Despite the fact that the etiology and pathogenesis have not been studied enough to date, the directions in diagnosis, treatment and prevention that need to be followed have been identified. Treatment of PMS should be differentiated, taking into account the state of a woman's general and reproductive health, concomitant diseases, the severity of PMS, the tolerability of therapy, etc. Currently, herbal medicines are increasingly used in the treatment of PMS. The aim of the study was to learn the effectiveness of the herbal medicine "Eviсa" in the treatment of mild and moderate PMS. The results obtained indicate the effectiveness of this drug in eliminating vegetativevascular, edematous and psychoemotional symptoms of PMS, which defines "Evica" as the medication of choice in patients with PMS, vegetativevascular and psychoemotional symptoms.

Natural foods with antioxidant properties, such as curcuma, papain, bromelain and black pepper, have been indicated as a potential natural therapeutic approach against osteoporosis. Zebrafish are an excellent animal model to study the effects of herbal preparations on osteogenesis and bone metabolism, both in physiological and in pathological conditions. Our study was aimed at evaluating whether curcuma-bromelain-papain-pepper herbal preparation (CHP) administered in embryos and adult fish is capable of promoting bone wellness in physiological and osteoporotic conditions. The effect of CHP has been studied in embryonic osteogenesis and glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis (GIOP) in an adult fish model in which drug treatment induces a bone-loss phenotype in adult scales very similar to that which characterizes the bones of human patients. CHP prevented the onset of the osteoporotic phenotype in the scales of GIOP in adult zebrafish, with the osteoblastic and osteoclastic metabolic activity maintaining unaltered. CHP is also able to attenuate an already established GIOP phenotype, even if the alteration is in an advanced phase, partially restoring the normal balance of the bone markers alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP) and stimulating anabolic reparative processes. The results obtained indicated CHP as a potential integrative antioxidant therapy in human bone-loss diseases.

Introduction. Importance of the search effective methods of treating chronic adenoiditis in children is associated with a high incidence and risk of developing complications. Treatment of chronic adenoiditis are described in the literature, but the advantages of any of them are inconclusive, which leads to the search for additional more progressive methods.Objective. To increase the effectiveness of the treatment of chronic adenoiditis using complex therapy of non-drug methods in combination with the herbal preparation Tonsilgon N.Materials and methods. Biochemical changes in lymphoid tissue were studied on biopsy material in 111 children with chronic adenoiditis, grade 3 adenoid hypertrophy, directed to planned surgical treatment. In the preoperative period, patients were divided into 4 groups: Group 1-control group, patients who received conventional methods of treatment; 2-study group, patients who additionally used low-frequency ultrasound irrigation of the nasal cavity and nasopharynx with photochromotherapy; The third group, patients who received the herbal preparation tonsilgon N (drops) as preoperative therapy; The fourth group study underwent low-frequency ultrasound irrigation of the nasal cavity and nasopharynx in combination with photochromotherapy and took the drug Tonsilgon N in an age-related dosage.Results and discussion. When comparing the results of biochemical studies, an increase in the products of lipid peroxidation was noted in patients of the first group, which was regarded as a factor in the protracted course of the disease. The use of targeted phytoniring drugs in combination with low-frequency ultrasonic cavitation and photochromotherapy in complex therapy significantly modulates the processes of lipid peroxidation and can potentiate the antioxidant protection of cells.Conclusion. Objective data were obtained for the first time on biochemical changes in lymphoid tissue for various methods of therapy indicate the prospects of using non-drug methods in combination with a herbal preparation in the complex therapy of chronic adenoiditis.

AbstractThe herbal preparation ayahuasca has been an important part of ritual and healing practices, deployed to access invisible worlds in several indigenous groups in the Amazon basin and among mestizo populations of South America. The preparation is usually known to be composed of two main plants, Banisteriopsis caapi and Psychotria viridis, which produce both hallucinogenic and potent purging and emetic effects; currently, these are considered its major pharmacological activities. In recent decades, the psychoactive and visionary effect of ayahuasca has been highly sought after by the shamanic tourism community, which led to the popularization of ayahuasca use globally and to a cultural distancing from its traditional cosmological meanings, including that of purging and emesis. Further, the field of ethnobotany and ethnopharmacology has also produced relatively limited data linking the phytochemical diversity of ayahuasca with the different degrees of its purging and emetic versus psychoactive effects. Similarly, scientific interest has also principally addressed the psychological and mental health effects of ayahuasca, overlooking the cultural and pharmacological importance of the purging and emetic activity. The aim of this review is therefore to shed light on the understudied purging and emetic effect of ayahuasca herbal preparation. It firstly focuses on reviewing the cultural relevance of emesis and purging in the context of Amazonian traditions. Secondly, on the basis of the main known phytochemicals described in the ayahuasca formula, a comprehensive pharmacological evaluation of their emetic and purging properties is presented.

Background: Tanning nowadays due to pollution, stress, UV rays, and lifestyle has become a major skincare problem. Synthesis of a poly-herbal anti-tan formulation has been performed in this work, and it is evaluated on various parameters. Objective: The present work is aimed at the synthesis of herb-based anti-tan medicine and the evaluation of its various parameters for its efficiency as well as stability. Materials & Methods: The herbal preparation was prepared in-house according to the proposed composition, using all the natural contents. The dye was evaluated for its different standards. Results: The values of various parameters certified the quality standards of the formulation. The parameters were found to be ample enough for the standardization of herbal medicinal formulation. Conclusion: The prepared herbal pack was found to be appropriate according to all standards and can serve as a better alternative for treating tanning.

Stroke is one of the most devastating diseases worldwide. The Chinese herbal preparation SaiLuoTong (SLT) capsule showed outstanding therapeutic effects on stroke and its sequelae. The aim of this study was to further elucidate its therapeutic mechanism. We duplicated a permanent cerebral ischemia model in rats by MCAO and used SLT (33 and 16.5 mg/kg) to intervene. The results showed SLT dose dependently decreased infarction volumes, relieved neuron degeneration and loss, and ameliorated neurological functions, and the dose of 33 mg/kg had statistical significance (compared with the model group, p < 0.05); SLT of 33 mg/kg also significantly inhibited the elevation in brain water content and the loss in claudin-1 and occludin expressions; additionally, it significantly increased nucleus translocation of Nrf2, elevated the expression of HO-1, and raised the activity of SOD and content of GSH (compared with the model group, p < 0.05 or 0.01). These results testified SLT’s anti-brain ischemia effect and hint this effect may be related to the protection of brain microvascular endothelial cells (BMECs) that is dependent on the Nrf2 pathway. To further testify, we cultured hCMEC/D3 cells, duplicated OGD/R model to simulate ischemia, and used SLT (3.125, 6.25, and 12.5 mg/L) to treat. SLT dose dependently and significantly inhibited the drop in cell viabilities, and activated the Nrf2 pathway by facilitating Nrf2 nucleus translocation, and increasing HO-1 expression, SOD activity, and GSH content (compared with the model group, p < 0.05 or 0.01); last, the anti-OGD/R effects of SLT, including raising cell viabilities, inhibiting the elevation in dextran permeability, and preserving expressions of claudin-1 and occludin, were all abolished by Nrf2 siRNA interference. The in vitro experiment undoubtedly confirmed the direct protective effect of SLT on BMECs and the obligatory role of the Nrf2 pathway in it. Collectively, data of this study suggest that SLT’s therapeutic effect on brain ischemia is related to its Nrf2-dependent BMECs protection.
