Abstract The extract of red marine algae contained growth-enhancing properties which is associated to age and their morphotypes. Kappaphycus alvarezii cultured in Ekas Bay, Lombok, Indonesia was studied and aimed to determine the content of growth-promoting substances in the young and old thallus of brown and green morphotypes of K. alvarezii. The content of K. alvarezii thallus growth substances was determined by High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). This study showed that the old thallus in the brown K. alvarezii strain contained auxin 8.43 ppm and the young thallus 2.89 ppm, while the old thallus in the green strain K. alvarezii contained auxin 10.92 ppm and the young thallus contained 16.28 ppm. This study concluded that auxin was the only growth promoter detected in K. alvarezii seeds in both young and old thallus in green and brown morphotypes.

An actual problem of the alcohol industry development is the expansion of the raw material base through the use of new, cheaper types of carbohydrate sources. Recently, glucose-fructose syrup has been of increasing interest to producers of ethanol. Among the producers of craft drinks, in particular rum-based drinks, cane molasses is in increasing demand. The article presents the technological aspects of the fermentation process of nonconventional sugar-containing raw materials on the example of glucose-fructose syrup and cane molasses in ethanol by different yeast strains. It is determined that glucose-fructose syrup and cane molasses are raw materials depleted of nitrogen, phosphorus and growth substances necessary for the yeast activity. To improve the technological properties of raw materials in the molasses, nitrogen, phosphorus nutrition and corn extract as a growth substance shall be added to a mash. Glucose-fructose syrup is of pH 3.68 and of acidity 0.12, which negatively affects the fermentation. It is established that in order to create optimal living conditions for yeast, it is necessary to add substances to the glucose-fructose syrup that will contribute to the safety of development and prevent the pH 3.5. It was determined that the alcohol yield from 1 ton of glucose-fructose syrup is 31.0 dal, from 1 ton of cane molasses is 24.0 dal on the yeast 46ED and 22 dal on the TegaYeast without the use of growth substances and vitamins necessary for the reproduction of yeast biomass. Under conditions of improving the technological properties of the mash from the glucose-fructose syrup and cane molasses by adding biologically active substances promoting the synthesis of yeast biomass, the ethanol content in the fermented mashes increases up to 11.9 12% vol.

This study was conducted on Pujodadi Village, Trimurjo, Central Lampung from September to December 2020. The study used a factorial randomized block design with two factors and three replications. The first factor is concentration of plant growth substances which consists of 5 levels; Z0 (0 ml.lt-1), Z1 (3.5 ml.lt-1), Z2 (7 ml.lt-1), Z3 (10.5 ml.lt-1) and Z4 (14 ml.lt-1). The second factor is the origin of the seed consists of three parts; P1 (top), P2 (middle), and P3 (bottom). The research objective was to study the effect of plant growth substances concentration and part of seed origin in sugarcane seedlings. The results showed that the plant growth substances concentration significantly increased the percentage of growth and the time 50% of the seeds sprouted. The seed origin of the top part showed the best growth compared to the middle and bottom. There was no interaction between plant growth substances concentration and seed origin on sugarcane seed growth.

Under global warming and climate change conditions fruit orchards facing different environmental challenges which cause negative impacts on the growth and productivity of various fruit trees particularly in arid and semi-arid areas, various abiotic stress such as rising temperature, drought, heatwaves, and soil salinity represented a major challenge for growth and productivity of fruit orchards. Fruit trees used different strategies to cope with abiotic stress and minimize their adverse effects. Plants used different physiological, anatomical, and morphological mechanisms to tolerate abiotic stress, such as ion homeostasis, synthesis of more compatible solute, polyamines production, antioxidant regulation, closing stomata, in addition tol modification of root system, abscission of the leaves partially, compactness canopy, reducing leaf size, furthermore, under abiotic stress plants produce various organic solutes to cope with Reactive Oxygen solutes like Proline, in addition, using proper management practices that include providing adequate nutrients requirement particularly Potassium and Calcium, maintain soil moisture, using proper rootstocks tolerant for drought and salinity stress as well as exogenous application of plant growth substances could sustain orchards growth and productivity

This paper presents the results of the adjustment of 18 modifications of culture medium based on MS medium composition – Murashige and Skoog (1962) for in vitro rhizogenesis of 10 varieties of domestic plum. There were used 4 nutrient media with a full amount of macro- and microelements – MS1 with a different combination of phytohormones, 1 medium without hormones – MSc, 13 media – MS2 with half the amount of macronutrients, differing in hormonal composition. It was found that the maximum number of rooted microshoots from 21.2 to 52.2 % was on MS2–8 medium, from 11.2 to 43.1 % on MS2–5. The analysis showed that into the medium increases the percentage of microplants by 12-17 % comparing with the medium MS2–5 and MS2–7 without FA. The distinctiveness of nutrient media by the type of auxin (IAA, NAA, IBA) made it possible to clarify that IBA is the most optimal of the auxins, and the concentration of 1.7 mg/l is borderline for the growth reactions of plum varieties. It was revealed that in vitro root formation depends not only on the compositions of growth substances in the nutrient medium, but also on the genotype of the variety.

Over the past few years in the Russian Federa-tion, especially in the Krasnodar Territory and Crimea, there has been an increase in the area of vine plantations. In this regard, carrying out additional operations that increase the rooting rate and quality of grape seedlings and cut-tings is a promising direction in nursery. The use of growth substances for rooting grape cuttings has proven to be the simplest and most economical way to achieve these goals. The paper analyzes the results of studies by various authors, proving the effectiveness of the use of growth substances on a grape plant.
