Introduction: Mothers who do not provide exclusive and customary breastfeeding to their babies are influenced by several factors such as insufficient breast milk so that the babies often fuss and cry. Exclusive breastfeeding constraints are also due to the provision of food and drinks to the baby before breastfeeding, such as honey and formula milk, and the distrust of mothers in breastfeeding the baby. Method: The research method used is observational analytic with cross sectional approach to see the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable. Result: The results of this study were 69 respondents who did Early Initiation of Breastfeeding (IMD), 23 respondents (33.3%) succeeded in giving exclusive breastfeeding, and 18 respondents (26.1%) were unable to provide exclusive breastfeeding. Mothers who did not perform IMD and were able to provide exclusive breastfeeding were 6 respondents (8.7%) and 22 respondents (31.9%) were unable to exclusively breastfeed. This shows that IMD can increase exclusive breastfeeding, while mothers who do not do IMD are at risk of not being able to provide exclusive breastfeeding. Conclusion: From the results of this study, it is necessary to increase health education about improving the quality of mothers in carrying out IMD and exclusive breastfeeding.

Leadership, motivation, work environment, and discipline is some of important factors where its influence in employees performance need to be studied, in order to improve better performance or provide positive influence on the performance itself. Employees performance in the welding section 1 A, has significant effect in the production process at PT. XYZ Motor, which manufactures parts of the body frame, in order to complete the daily production target, the influence of these factors on the employees performance needs to be determined. This study uses a questionnaire for collecting data from samples of 80 respondents taken from 158 employees in the welding 1 A. Multiple linear regression is used to test hypotheses for each variable. Result showed that the discipline variables has positive influence on employee performance with significance value of 0,04, where the value is less than 0,05.

Constrained clustering is a framework for improving clustering performance by using constraints about data pairs. Since performance of constrained clustering depends on the set of constraints used, a method is needed to select good constraints that promote clustering performance. In this paper, we propose an active sampling method working with a constrained cluster ensemble algorithm that aggregates clustering results that a modified COP-Kmeans iteratively produces by changing the priorities of constraints. Our method follows the approach of uncertainty sampling and measures uncertainty using variations of clustering results where data pairs are clustered together in some results but not in others. It selects the data pair to be labeled that has the most variable result during cluster ensemble process. Experimental results show that our method outperforms random sampling. We further investigate the effect of important parameters.

Learning about statistics is a lot like learning about science: the learning is more meaningful if you can actively explore. This sixth installment of Explorations in Statistics explores correlation, a familiar technique that estimates the magnitude of a straight-line relationship between two variables. Correlation is meaningful only when the two variables are true random variables: for example, if we restrict in some way the variability of one variable, then the magnitude of the correlation will decrease. Correlation cannot help us decide if changes in one variable result in changes in the second variable, if changes in the second variable result in changes in the first variable, or if changes in a third variable result in concurrent changes in the first two variables. Correlation can help provide us with evidence that study of the nature of the relationship between x and y may be warranted in an actual experiment in which one of them is controlled.

In [4] N. Steinmetz used Nevanlinna theory to establish remarkably versatile theorems on the factorization of ordinary differential equations which implied numerous previous results of various authors. (Here factorization is taken in the sense of function composition as introduced by F. Gross in [2].) The thrust of Steinmetz’ central results on factorization is that if g(z) is entire and f(z) is meromorphic in C such that the composite fog satisfies an algebraic differential equation, then so do f(z) and, degenerate cases aside, g(z). In addition, the more one knows about the equation for fog (e.g. degree, weight, autonomy), the more one can conclude about the equations for f and g.In this note we generalize Steinmetz’ work to show the following:a) Steinmetz’ two basic results, Satz 1 and Korollar 1 of [4] can be seen as one-variable specializations of a single two variable result, andb) the function g(z) can itself be allowed to be a function of several variables.
