Under the background of global climate change and the human activities, the stock of natural capital and the the ability of ecosystem services are facing increasing pressure, and the contradiction between natural capital protection and people’s livelihood development is also increasing. Therefore, it is urgent to integrate ecosystem value estimation into the development decision-making of countries all over the world. As a new ecosystem research method, ecosystem gross product (GEP) accounting is widely used in China, and often used to reflect the effectiveness of regional ecological protection and the coordination relationship between development and protection. We found that : (1) GEP accounting can reflect the overall situation of ecological environment and service quality, and help decision-makers and managers formulate and implement sustainable development strategies and ecological protection policies. (2) The contradiction between the depletion of global ecosystem capital and the development of people’s livelihood continues to intensify. About 68.7% of developing countries facing “low-low development model” (low GEP and low GDP). (3) We have constructed the path model of GEP working system and the path model of ecological protection compensation mechanism in China. The GEP accounting system of “from point to area, from top to bottom”, the parallel evaluation strategy of GDP and GEP and the comprehensive ecological compensation system of “vertical and horizontal combination” implemented can be popularized to countries all over the world.

In this paper, we propose non-negative intensity (NNI) as an alternative intensity-based technique for target strength identification in marine ecosystem research. NNI identifies local surface regions of a body with positive-only sound power contributions. NNI is employed for sound scattering by fluid-loaded, fluid-filled elastic structures with weak scattering boundary conditions. Three numerical case studies are presented for which fully coupled fluid-structure interaction models based on the finite element method (FEM) and the boundary element method (BEM) are developed. To validate the three-way coupling between the structural and fluid domains, an elastic shell submerged in water and filled with different internal fluids is initially considered. Results for the scattered acoustic intensity obtained numerically are compared with analytical results from the literature. Models representing Antarctic krill of simple and complex geometry are developed. A 3×3 cylinder array representing a simplified aggregation of krill is also presented. Target strength is calculated using both the scattered intensity and NNI for different incident excitation angles. Results for NNI identify the surface regions of an individual organism or group of organisms with the greatest contribution to the scattered sound at the target strength locations.

Az innovációs együttműködések mozgatórugóinak megértése és az ismeretek gyakorlati hasznosítása elengedhetetlen a versenyképességgel és általános gazdasági fejlődés lehetőségeivel foglalkozó kutatók és gyakorlati döntéshozók számára. Ezzel összefüggésben jelen tanulmány rövid áttekintést ad az innovációs ökoszisztéma-fogalom koncepcionális kereteiről, illetve az innovációs együttműködések szerepéről az innovációs folyamatokban. Az elméleti megalapozás mellett a tanulmány fő célkitűzése, hogy leíró statisztikai módszerekkel, a Scopus adatbázisának segítségével azonosítsa azokat a trendeket, szerzőket és periodikákat, amelyek ismerete a témát Magyarországon vizsgáló kutatók és döntéshozók számára elengedhetetlen a világgazdaságban megfigyelhető tendenciák megértéséhez és a nemzetközi diskurzusba való bekapcsolódáshoz. Understanding the driving force of innovation cooperations is an essential element for both researchers and decision-makers in connection with competitiveness and economic development. In this context, this study provides a brief overview of the conceptual framework of innovation ecosystem and the role of innovation cooperations in innovation processes. In addition to the theoretical foundation, the main objective of the study is to identify the major trends, authors and journals of innovation ecosystem research based on Scopus database. The science metrics thus provide a solid summary of the topic for readers and „best practices” for a consistent publication strategy for researchers.

The use of digital elevation models has proven to be crucial in numerous studies related to savanna ecosystem research. However, the insufficient spatial resolution of the chosen input data is often considered to be a limiting factor when conducting local to regional scale ecosystem analysis. The elevation models and orthorectified imagery created in this study represent the first wall-to-wall digital elevation data sets produced for the Kruger National Park (KNP), South Africa, at very high spatial resolution. Using colour-infrared (CIR) aerial imagery from the archives of the Chief Directorate: National Geo-spatial Information (CDNGI), Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRRD) aerial acquisition programme, we created digital surface models (DSMs), digital terrain models (DTMs) and CIR orthomosaics covering the entire KNP with a nominal ground sampling distance of 0.25 m. Elevation information was derived using state-of-the-art stereo matching algorithms that utilised semi-global matching (SGM) as a cost aggregation function throughout the image pairing, using the Enterprise software from CATALYST. The final products were validated against reference products, and showed excellent agreement with R² values of 0.99. Further, the validation of the DTM and DSM revealed median absolute vertical height error (LE90) across all sites of 1.02 m and 2.58 m, respectively. The orthomosaics were validated with in situ ground control points (GCPs) exhibiting a horizontal Circular Probable Error (CPE) of 1.37 m. The data resulting from this work will be distributed freely with the aim of fostering more scientific studies in the African science community and beyond.Conservation implications: Accurate information about terrain and surface height are crucial inputs to a variety of scientific analysis, which are essential in protected areas, such as flood prediction or fire hazard estimation. Elevation data sets and orthomosaics in very high resolution can therefore serve as a crucial tool to improve park management and foster positive implications on conservation efforts.

Aim. The presented study aims to develop a structural model for industrial ecosystem management and to propose strategies for the industrial ecosystem orchestrator.Tasks. The authors systematize the landscape of existing research in the field of ecosystems; identify the problem and determine the research gap; develop the concept of ecosystem entity; determine the specific features of industrial ecosystem management; develop a structural model for industrial ecosystem management based on the platform concept; recommend strategies for the industrial ecosystem orchestrator.Methods. This study uses general scientific methods (synthesis, generalization, content analysis, graphical data interpretation), economic and statistical methods (correlation and regression analysis, mathematical statistics, expert methods, principal components analysis, hierarchical agglomerative clustering). As part of a study of economic sectors and digital technologies, the market structure is analyzed, and the dynamics of development indicators of digitalization processes is described.Results. The landscape of modern ecosystem research, types and properties of ecosystems, the composition of actors and exchange resources by ecosystem type are systematized, the concept of ecosystem entity is developed, and the specific features of industrial ecosystem management are determined. A structural model for industrial ecosystem management is developed. Four strategies for the industrial ecosystem orchestrator are recommended: increasing value, building trust, activating industrial ecology, institutionalization.Conclusions. In the context of digital transformation, it is advisable to implement strategic management of industrial ecosystems based on the platform concept. The results of managing an industrial ecosystem with the orchestrator function include enhancing the maturity and integration potential of synergetic interaction in the ecosystem, maintaining a high level of coherence (consistency) between actors at different hierarchical levels, creating long-term value and improving the quality of life.

Abstract The increasing need for agricultural land has led to a shift in the cultivation of vegetation on peatland especially food crops. Agricultural activities on peatland require careful planning, appropriate technology application, and proper management due to the marginal and the fragile peatland ecosystem. Research and development are needed to evaluate the carrying capacity of environmental impacts on peatland use. This study aimed to obtain information on the water quality of peat domes, primary canals, and secondary canals of Block C, Pulang Pisau Regency. The study area is now mostly used for agricultural activities. The analysis was carried out in a descriptive qualitative manner based on water parameter testing results to assess the water quality of peat domes, primary canals, and secondary canals of each type of peatland use in Buntoi, Garung, and Kanamit Barat Village. The results indicated that five chemical parameters exceeded the water quality criteria for Class II PP No. 22/2021 namely BOD, COD, free chlorine, zinc, and lead in Buntoi. Further, in Garung, six chemical parameters exceeded the water quality criteria: DO, BOD, COD, free chlorine, lead, and copper. Meanwhile, in Kanamit Barat Village, seven chemical parameters exceeded the criteria: DO, BOD, COD, free chlorine, zinc, lead, and copper. Based on this research, therefore, agricultural activities on this peatland area should consider the natural characteristics of peat water and the selection of suitable plants.

Ageratina adenophora is one of the major invasive weeds that causes instability of the ecosystem. Research has reported that A. adenophora produces allelochemicals that inhibit the growth and development of food crops, and also contain some toxic compounds that cause toxicity to animals that consume it. Over the past decades, studies on the identification of major toxic compounds of A. adenophora and their toxic molecular mechanisms have been reported. In addition, weed control interventions, such as herbicides application, was employed to reduce the spread of A. adenophora. However, the development of therapeutic and prophylactic measures to treat the various A. adenophora—induced toxicities, such as hepatotoxicity, splenotoxicity and other related disorders, have not been established to date. The main toxic pathogenesis of A. adenophora is oxidative stress and inflammation. However, numerous studies have verified that some extracts and secondary metabolites isolated from A. adenophora possess anti-oxidation and anti-inflammation activities, which implies that these extracts can relieve toxicity and aid in the development of drug or feed supplements to treat poisoning-related disorders caused by A. adenophora. Furthermore, beneficial bacteria isolated from rumen microbes and A. adenophora can degrade major toxic compounds in A. adenophora so as to be developed into microbial feed additives to help ameliorate toxicity mediated by A. adenophora. This review presents an overview of the toxic mechanisms of A. adenophora, provides possible therapeutic strategies that are available to mitigate the toxicity of A. adenophora and introduces relevant information on identifying novel prophylactic and therapeutic measures against A. adenophora—induced toxicity.

The innovation ecosystem term has increasingly been attracting the interest of scholars and practitioners for fifteen years. Contrary to the flourishing landscape, knowledge in this field is criticized as being fragmented. While past reviews revealed the conceptual and theoretical connections between innovation ecosystem and other related concepts, there is still a lack of comprehensive appreciation of the intellectual structure of state-of-the-art innovation ecosystem studies, hindering future research in this domain. To fill this void, this study utilized a systematic literature review approach combining bibliographic coupling and content analysis methods. Drawing on 136 studies reflecting the core and latest knowledge of innovation ecosystem literature, this study identifies five streams of the current innovation ecosystem research (i.e., technology innovation, platform innovation ecosystem, regional development, innovation ecosystem conceptualization and theorization, and entrepreneurship and innovation). Suggestions for future research are distilled via systematic analysis and discussion of these streams. Contributions of this study lie in decoding the intellectual structure of current innovation ecosystem research and offering targeted recommendations for future research.
