The Baikal Region, despite its favorable geopolitical position (between Europe and Asia) and the most famous lake on the planet, located in its territory, is peripheral and depressive. The lag in socio-economic development is due to severe environmental restrictions imposed on economic activities. New business models and process solutions are necessary to enable the transition to a digital economy without harming the environment. Development of a agroecological cluster based on a digital platform will help increase the connectivity of the macroregional space, its integration and the rational use of the resources of the Baikal ecosystem. Due to generation of a synergistic effect that manifests itself in the socio-economic and environmental spheres the agroecological cluster acts as an integrator uniting the subjects of the “state – society – business” triad on the basis of mutually beneficial partnership.

Presidential Regulation No. 191/2014, regulates the subsidy policy for Gas Oil, which is a fixed subsidy. Meanwhile, the retail selling price of Gas Oil will fluctuate in the society according to the formula calculation. However, since April 2016 the price of Gas Oil has been fixed. In certain cases, the determination of the retail selling price may differ from the calculation of the formula considering the state's financial capacity, the purchasing power of the people, and the real economy. This research will examine the influence of the state's financial capacity, the purchasing power of the people, and the real economy, either partially or simultaneously, on the policy of determining the retail sale price, and its impact. The test was carried out through multiple linear regression analysis using IBM Statistics 20. The results showed that the state's financial capacity and the real economy had a significant effect on the retail selling price policy for JBT Solar Oil. Meanwhile, people's purchasing power does not have a significant effect. The determination of the retail selling price of Gas Oil that is not in accordance with the calculation formula may give an impact on society, business entities, and the government.

To address the negative externalities associated with global trade, countries in the Global North have increasingly adopted supply chain regulations. While global supply chains cause or contribute to interconnected environmental and human rights impacts, I show that supply chain regulations often exclusively target one policy domain. Furthermore, an analysis of the first experiences with the implementation of the French Duty of Vigilance law, which covers and gives equal weight to environmental and human rights risks, reveals that the inclusion of environmental and human rights standards in legal norms is not sufficient to ensure policy integration. The empirical focus here is on the soy and beef supply chains from Brazil to the European Union (EU), and the findings rely on an analysis of legal norms and company reports, field research at producing sites in Brazil and semi-structured interviews with civil society, business and state actors. For analyzing the data, I draw on the literature on environmental policy integration (EPI) and apply a framework that distinguishes between institutional, political and cognitive factors to discuss advances and challenges for integrating human rights and the environment in sustainability governance. The study concludes that more integrated approaches for regulating global supply chains would be needed to enable ‘just sustainability’.

Theoretical and methodological aspects of research of consumption safety as the ability of the state, society and business to create the preconditions for conscious satisfaction of human needs for self-reproduction to protect the health of the nation and the environment as imperatives for future development are developed. It is proposed to consider the process of consumption securing from the standpoint of harmonizing the interests of society, business and government in forming the basis for sustainable consumption and production in a strategic perspective. The chaos of self-organization processes in the consumer market, as well as the need to combine institutional and market mechanisms in solving the problem of consumption security strengthening in the process of European integration of Ukraine are shown. Systemic means of consumption securing on the basis of harmonization of society, business and the state economic interests with use of the multi-agent approach are developed. Accordingly, a multi-agent model is proposed to identify participants (agents) in the consumption securing process, to formalize the elements, institutional norms, parameters and limitations of their interaction. By building an intelligent map of consumption security, the institutional preconditions, participants of the process of consumption securing, the system of their interests, time parameters of interaction, basic processes, threats and related areas of consumption safety are established. The necessity of using the market mechanism of harmonization of interests of consumption safety subjects (person, society, public authorities and local governments, enterprises-manufacturers, public associations, international organizations, research establishments, etc.) by coordination of the price within the ratio of supply and demand for safe goods (services) with maximizing the convergence of interests as a condition for achieving an equilibrium state of the system is proved.

In the run up to the 2020 US presidential elections, some activist groups promoted the practice of ‘deep canvassing political persuasion’ as an inclusive, values-based communication strategy, to turn Trump voters favourably towards left leaning or progressive agendas. Deep canvassing emphasises non-judgemental listening to voters’ stories and emotions, in order to avoid any threat that voters may feel from ‘forms of persuasion employed by traditional political campaigns’. In current conditions, some see it as an antidote to the increased persuasive power of misinformation campaigns. This paper provides a critical description of deep canvassing and investigates its growing appeal as a persuasive activist communication practice in the US, focussing on its justification and ethical orientation. In doing so, it situates the practice as ‘activist public relations’ and discusses its context in relation to democratic models. The paper will field the proposition that deep canvassing should be situated within a broader and more robust discussion of democracy, discourse and power to fully understand its ethical and social implications. This study of contemporary communication in the US contexts will shed light on democratic political cultures and interrelationships of power and language between civil society, business and government that support their distribution and interpretation.

The article makes an overview of approaches to heritage management, explains the concept of a tourist destination, as well as the importance of using a project management approach and its tools in managing a tourist heritage destination. The paper considers a group of integrated projects that invest in heritage as a factor of attractiveness of a tourist destination, since it is part of a tourism system that cannot be managed separately and is integrated for the production of a tourism product. Taking into account the importance of preserving heritage values, the project approach involves the engagement of various stakeholders in this process and the creation of a mechanism to increase the effectiveness of tourism investments for the benefit of society, business and the state.
