In recent years, many teaching materials have been developed involving recreational activities that arouse students' curiosity and interest. Thinking about School Cartography, Electronic Atlas come up with an innovative approach and greater interaction between the contents worked and the local reality. The student is encouraged to perform a critical analysis of his lived space, sometimes building it, sometimes deconstructing it through the observation of socioenvironmental elements, making the student arouse greater interest in the study of geographical space. In this perspective, the objective was to address the importance of studying the local space in the perspective of school cartography from the elaboration of an Electronic and Socioeconomic Atlas, for which a case study was carried out in the municipality of Restinga Sêca, RS. Methodologically, the municipality constituted by its census sectors was considered as a unit of spatial analysis. The Atlas has a partial interaction with the user, allowing the manipulation of a set of maps with predefined themes, and is supported by multimedia resources with texts, images and animations. Thus, there was greater interactivity in the teaching of Geography, articulating the proposed content with the space experienced by the student. The electronic version of the atlas significantly increases the importance and role of the information product as a prototype of the necessary component of the information technology infrastructure. The most important role in the development of electronic atlases is played by modern information technology. But they are often used to create specialized cartographic material, which accounts for large administrative units: countries and regions. At the same time, smaller entities, such as administrative districts, which are also important for economic, scientific, and educational activities, are often unfairly ignored. The article discusses the features and results of the development and creation of an innovative information product—an electronic atlas for the territory of the Tengushevsky district of the Republic of Mordovia. The relevance of this work is obvious, since a variety of cartographic and reference material has been accumulated, which needs to be systematized and visualized. The material on electronic maps and atlases was studied, source data and software were selected, a set of GIS spatial data was formed for mapping purposes, and data was collected into a single source visualized in a standard Internet browser. As the main software for creating the cartographic basis of the future atlas, the program was chosen as ArcGIS, for the design part—CorelDRAW, and for compiling the pages of the local database—Notepad++. The result of the work was an electronic atlas of the administrative district, integrating data obtained from various sources using the capabilities of GIS technologies in a format that allowed them to be successfully transferred to an online portal. The proposed technological scheme can serve as a guide for creating similar information products for other administrative districts.

The research is devoted to dialect meteorological vocabulary of the Volgograd region dialects, presented on the linguistic maps of the electronic atlas. The lexemes included in the word-building nest with the roots -hmur-, -hmar-, -hmor- are studied. The methods of cartography and recartography of language material are used: structural and semantic features of dialectisms, their place in the Russian national language system, structural and semantic variation by comparing the material of several maps of the dialect atlas are analyzed. The analysis of the material is carried out taking into account the linguo-geographical landscape of the Volgograd region, which was reflected in the conclusions of the article: the map material shows the great semantic and word-building activity of the vocabulary in the late resettlement dialects of the region. We have developed a methodology for the comprehensive analysis of dialect material, which allows to realize the diagnostic capabilities of linguistic dialect maps: tracking the ranges of lexemes, word-building nests, word-building models, as well as the semantic volume of dialect lexemes. The methodology can be applied to the study of any other thematic vocabulary of any region.

Abstract This study aims to get practical answers about the effect of the use of electronic atlases on student learning outcomes in class XI on geography subjects. Research using experimental methods. The population in this study were all students of class XI Labschool Jakarta High School. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, where one class is an experimental class taught by using an electronic atlas, and another type as a comparison class that is a control class taught not to use an electronic atlas. The instrument used in this study was in the form of multiple-choice tests namely pre-test and post-test. The data analysis technique used to test hypotheses is the t-test.  The results showed that there were differences in student learning outcomes between the experimental class and the control class on natural resource material. Before conducting the hypothesis test, the data requirements test is carried out, namely data normality test using Chi-Square test and data homogeneity test using Bartlet test. From the results of normality test data both pre-test and post-test in the experimental class and the control class obtained prices X2-count < X2-table, meaning that the data collected are typically distributed. The results of the homogeneity test data calculations using the Bartlet test also obtained estimates F2-count < F2-table, eaning that the data from both groups are homogeneous. After testing the data requirements, a hypothesis test is performed using the t-test, and values are obtained t-count = 3,61 dan t-table with dk 56, and the 0.05 significance level is 1.67. So t-count > t-table means that the alternative hypothesis is accepted, and the null hypothesis is rejected. The results of the study concluded that there is an influence of the use of electronic atlases on the learning outcomes of students of class XI IPS on geography subjects with natural resource material. Therefore, geography study teachers can use this electronic atlas as one of the media used in the learning process of geography.

The authors have developed a method for creating and using spatiotemporal data for electronic atlases, including the concept development, designing the database structure, developing methods for storing, processing and displaying data, as well as their implementation as a historical geoportal. The types of electronic atlases and their characteristics have been listed. The scenarios of using atlases have been considered, as well as a system of controlling, updating, and storing data with due consideration for their spatial and temporal component. The approaches to designing the database structure, indexing, retrieving, and protecting data have been provided. The implementation of the method will allow to obtain spatial data as cartographic works for any historical date and any territory, while the system of continuous data update will allow obtaining current cartographic information. The developed method addresses the issues of spatiotemporal data storage, update, and use in electronic atlas mapping, which will ensure the integration of multitemporal data into a single information space of the area under study.
