SAPHO syndrome (acronym for synovitis, acne, pustulosis, hyperostosis, osteitis) is a rare dermato-rheumatic entity usually observed in young adults. The clinical manifestations are proteinaceous and without specificity at the origin of inflammatory diseases of the intestine. Our clinical case is that of a ten-year-old girl who presented with chronic and recurrent osteomyelitis of the pelvic limbs on a febrile background, followed by persistent and recurrent pustular lesions. During the same period, because of an acute abdominal pain syndrome accompanied by fever, a biological inflammatory syndrome, and predominantly neutrophilic hyperleukocytosis, laparotomy was performed and no lesions were found. She subsequently presented with intermittent and recurrent spasmodic abdominal pain. In view of these various symptoms, a multidisciplinary consultation concluded that the patient had SAPHO syndrome associated with a digestive disorder, possibly Crohn’s disease. Our clinical case illustrates the diagnostic difficulties of SAPHO syndrome.

In this modern era, due to a sedentary lifestyle and improper dietary habit digestive disorder shows greater inci- dence. Among them, fistula-in-ano is troubleshooting one, which is a communicating tract between two epithelial surfaces lined by granulation tissues. Due to the higher recurrence rate and postoperative complication fistula-in- ano is a headache in the present era. In Ayurvedic classics, Ksharasutra prayoga is mentioned for the treatment of Nadi Vrana, which can be adopted in the management of anal fistula. The objective of the present study was to be evaluated the efficacy of Asphota Kshara sutra in the management of low anal fistula. The clinical trial was con- ducted in OPD and IPD of Shalyatantra department at Pankajakasthuri Ayurveda Medical College. The intervention was ligation of the fistulous tract with Asphota Ksharasutra. 25 subjects were selected satisfying inclusion and exclusion criteria. The clinical assessment was done before treatment, after treatment and follow up on the 30th day after cutting through of the tract. The assessment was done based on parameters prepared for anal fistula by Paul O Madson and Peter. Pain, burning sensation, inflammation, itching, discharge and unit cutting time was statistically analysed in different periods. Outcome variables were analysed statistically by using the Friedman test and Wilcox- son signed-rank rest, and a conclusion was drawn. Pain, burning sensation, inflammation, discharge, itching was effectively managed using Asphota Ksharasutra. The unit cutting time of Aspota ksharasutra was found to be more than standard Ksharasutra. The result showed that Aspota Ksharasutra is effective in the management of low anal fistula. Keywords: Fistula-in-ano; Asphota ksharasutra.

Eosinophilic gastroenteritis is a rare digestive disorder in children and adults characterized by eosinophilic infiltration of the gastrointestinal tract. The symptoms are nonspecific and vary, depending on the site and layer of the bowel wall infiltrated by eosinophils. Unlike eosinophilic oesophagitis, the management of eosinophilic gastroenteritis is not consensual. The course of this pathology is variable and spontaneous remission is possible. In some patients, recurrent symptoms have been reported after corticosteroid interruption.

Aim: To examine ABO and Rh blood group distribution in COVID-19 related deaths considering demographics and pathological conditions. Materials and Methods: We conducted a retrospective study at the University Hospital Centre Split, Croatia, that included 245 COVID-positive individuals that died from April 8, 2020, to January 25, 2021. From the hospital database, we extracted data on their blood groups, demographics, and pre-existing comorbidities. To compare findings with the general population, we used information from collected blood group donations (n = 101357) and statistical reports of non-COVID deaths from 2019 (n = 4968). Results: The proportion of males was significantly higher in analyzed subjects than in non-COVID deaths from 2019 (63.7% vs. 48.9%, P < 0.001), while the proportion of older individuals did not differ (P = 0.8). The most common pre-existing diseases were hypertension (59.6%), diabetes (37.1%), heart failure (28.8%), digestive disorder (26.5%), and solid tumor (21.6%). The ABO distribution in the deceased and donors' group showed statistically significant differences, with the higher prevalence of A/AB group and lower prevalence of 0, but with individual differences significant only for AB and non-AB groups. There was a significantly reduced proportion of females within the deceased with group 0 (P = 0.014) and a higher proportion of AB individuals with coronary heart disease (P = 0.024), while other differences were not significant. Conclusion: The study confirmed a higher risk of death in male individuals. The lower proportion of type 0 in deceased individuals was more pronounced in females, implying that group 0 is not necessarily an independent protective factor. Among analyzed comorbidities, coronary heart disease was identified as a potential risk factor for AB individuals.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) has a digestive disorder called intestinal mucosal hypermeability, it happens because autism children cannot digest foods that contain gluten and casein, this problem can be overcome by implementing the GFCF (gluten-free casein-free) diet. The purpose of this study was to analyze the dream pastry business opportunity, which is a sheet-shaped puff pastry dough applying GFCF diet therapy. This puff pastry dough is in the shape of a sheet so that it is easy to make creation foods according to the autism children’s favorites. Dream Pastry product design is made from MOCAF flour as a source of gluten-free carbohydrates. It combined with Moringa leaf powder as a natural colorant. Dream Pastry's product development analysis consists of developing product concepts and developing business opportunities. The product concept development consists of processing MOCAF, Moringa leaves to the MOCAF-Moringa combination. Meanwhile, business opportunity analysis uses open a business straight in demand and the analysis of STP (Segmenting, Targeting, Positioning). The analysis were carried out using Market Sizing, while the market potential prediction used TAM (Total Available Market) of autism children recorded in Indonesia as many as 16,987 students. Then, for the SAM (Served Available Market), the author chose East Java as the initial market niche for product distribution. Also, the prediction of sales in the first month called SOM (Share of Market) as many as 106 boxes.

Today, helminthous invasions in horses are one of the important problems for veterinary specialists, since the action of helminths significantly affects the general condition of horses, allergic and toxic manifestations of diseases are observed, external qualities are worsened, performance, endurance, natural resistance are reduced, which leads to the emergence of diseases of various etiologies. We set the goal – to study the helminthofauna of horses in the Tyumen region. For the study of horse helminthoses, an animal survey was conducted in the period 2017–2020. As a result of the data obtained, it was found that horses have a mixed helminthose invasion consisting of nematodes of the Oxyuridae family (Oxyuris equi) during the parasitization of which, in horses, it was revealed – the rumpleness of the hair-covering of the dock, the formation of bald patches and the release of white plaque from the anal orifice, with Ascaridae (Parascaris equorum) there were seizures of cough and nasal secretions, as well as horses had reduced appetite and increased fatigue, with Strongyloididae (Strongyloides westeri) – foals had a delay in molting and an increase in abdominal volume, the Strongylata suborder caused digestive disorder with colic attacks. To prevent the spread of helminthous invasions, it is necessary to carry out the main integrated system for control helminthosis, which includes veterinary, sanitary and therapeutic and preventive events.

Genus Tinospora has been used in traditional medicine throughout various parts of Asia, particularly in India, China, Thailand, Malaysia and Cambodia. Its ethnomedicinal uses include treatment for fever, cold, oral ulcer, headaches, diarrhoea, diabetes, digestive disorder and rheumatoid arthritis. Some of its ethnomedicinal uses have been justified via scientific studies, include antidiabetic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects. Recently, several studies have been initiated to investigate the role of Tinospora species in wound healing. This comprehensive review used updated information obtained from systematic literature search using PubMed, Scopus, Science Direct and Google Scholar, to assess the wound healing properties of eleven major Tinospora species namely, T. cordifolia, T. crispa, T. sagittata, T. sinensis, T. bakis, T. craveniana, T. tuberculata, T. capillipes, T. rumphii, T. smilacina, and T. baenzigeri. The information obtained revealed that only T. cordifolia and T. crispa have been reported on its wound-healing abilities. Studies demonstrated that T. cordifolia is associated with early re-epithelisation, enhanced tensile strength, increased granulation tissues and increased collagen contents. Whereas T. crispa is reported with wound healing activity through the elevated antioxidant enzymes and inflammation phase. Nevertheless, there is limited evidence on phytochemical constituents from plant extracts that contribute to the wound healing process and their underlying mechanisms. This review deduced the potential gaps for future research aiming to study the genus Tinospora as a potential wound healing agent.

Amlapitta  (Hyperacidity) is very common disease encountering in present population with more or less severity.Generally 80% of the top ten life threatening disease in the world are due to wrong in dietary habits.1 Amlapitta (Hyperacidity) is one of the commonest Vyadhi  (Disease) of Annavaha strotas (Channel for digestion, absorbtion and transportation), caused by vitiated Agni (Digestive fire). Amlapitta (Hyperacidity) is a condition where Amlaguna  (Sour taste) of Pachak Pitta increases due to Samata  (toxins). Aacharya Charaka has not mentioned Amlapitta  (Hyperacidity) as separate disease but described in Grahani  (digestive disorder) as one of its lakshana.2According to Ayurveda, many disorders are due to vitiated Agni (digestive disorder).Various factors and progressive changes such as adaptation of newer and newer food materials, junk foods, fast foods, changes in method of cooking, occupational hazards etc. have precipitated the increasing trend of the disease. Along with those stimulating factors tremendous stress, anxiety had significantly aggravated the digestive disorders including Amlapitta (Hyperacidity). Here in this present study, Amlapitta disease is reviewed in detail according to ayurvedic view.

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a psychosomatic disorder characterized by chronic inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract. Metabolism of an individual affected with IBD is equated to imbalance of jatharagni (digestive fire) which results in atijeernam (hyper digestive disorder), ajeernam (hypo digestive disorder), or kutajeernam (erroneous digestive disorder). Yoga stabilizes jatharagni that helps energy transformation of 1) food substances into nutritious substance, 2) nutritious substance into tissues. It improves anabolic and catabolic processes which help absorption of energy. Yogic cleansing techniques promote elimination of ama (toxic products) and kleda (waste products). Yoga therapy along with herbal medicine and lifestyle modification helps develop balanced state of doshas in individuals with IBD. Yoga practice has a healing effect on mind and body, reduces stress, increases emotional and physical self-awareness, and improves the ability to manage physical symptoms.

From the strains of lactic acid bacterium in the Laboratory of Microbiology, Ho Chi Minh City Universityof Education, 03 of those strains with activated probiotic have been chosen: Lactobacillus agillis (B), Lactobacillus salivarius (N4), Lactobacillus acidophilus (L2). These strains of bacteria have high lactic acid production capacity, strong antagonistic activity, and wide antibacterial spectrum. Specially, they have strongresistance to two bacterial strains causing digestive disorder in pigs such as E.coli and Samonella choleraesuis which resist the four important types of antibiosis including Neomycin (Ne), Nalidixid acid  (Ng), Kanamycin (Kn) and Gentamycin (Ge). The optimal conditions for their receiving biomass are: Tomato medium with temperature: 30 - 40oC; Initial pH: 5,5 -6,5; Yeast extract: 1,0 - 2,0%; Saccaroza: 1,0 - 2,0%; The optimal time for receiving biomass is from 24 - 36 hours. On this basis, the biomass of three lactic bacterial strains were studied and used to produce probiotic products for preventing and treating the digestive disorder in pigs.
