This research aims at breaking down the dynamics of dynastic politics after the 2020 simultaneous general election and the dynamics between the nomination of regional heads and dynastic politics following the issuance of the Constitutional Court decision no. 33/PUU-XIII/2005.  The research found that this local politics phenomenon is triggered by the policy on regional autonomy and decentralization after reformation in bringing about new groups with family ties at local levels who occupy positions in the government.  Going by the excuses of freedom and human rights, the groups in this dynastic politics have seen a gradual increase in quantity overtime.  This increase happened after the Constitutional Court decision no. 33/PUU-XIII/2015 ruled in their favour.  In the ruling, the Court took human rights into their main consideration for reversing the ruling against the ban on the dynastic politics law, which in Article 7 (r) UU 1/2015 may give the impression that the right to political participation is removed.

The pragmatism of political parties is one of the causes for the proliferation of political dynasties and the massive number of single candidates in several electoral politics periods at the local level. The implementation of the 2020 local election simultaneously gave birth to many candidates who have a kinship with political officials both at the central and regional levels, both currently or who have served. Apart from the practice of dynastic politics, a single candidate's presence also adds to the problems in the democratic process at the local level. A single candidate is present as a consequence of implementing the local election system simultaneously, which opens wide the opportunity for the local election to be held even though only one pair of regional head candidates are joined, as a consequence, the empty column is presented as the opponent of the match. This article collects data through a literature study. To answer these two phenomena, the author examines them during the local election implementation. This study indicates that these two phenomena co-opt local democracy and clog the circulation of the leadership elite. Both political dynasty candidates and single candidates have enormous potential to win elections. Both phenomena are caused by poor internal recruitment and candidate selection processes.

The issue of kinship politics networks and modalities Pilar Saga is built on the Ratu Atut Chosiyah's dynastic politics. Interestingly, the dynastic political network in Banten contributed to Pilar Saga's victory. Even the various corruption cases that ensnared Ratu Atut's family could not undermine her political network. For example, the corruption case of Ratu Atut for alleged bribery of the Constitutional Court and the trading of positions, T Chaeri Wardana for the corruption case of medical equipment, and Ratu Lilis Karyawati for the Cibenuangen River bypass case in Lebak, Banten. The purpose of this study was to analyze the extent to which Pilar Saga's kinship politics network and modalities influenced his victory in the 2020 South Tangerang Regional Head Election. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive method in South Tangerang. The research data was taken through observation and library research to strengthen the conclusion. The results show that the Pilar Saga political network and modalities, apart from being built from the Atut dynasty, were also boosted by the performance achievements of the incumbent Pilar Saga pair. The incumbent in the previous period with Airin Rachmi Diany (Atut's sister-in-law) was able to bring South Tangerang City to be the best Regency/City area in Banten in HDI (Human Development Index) numbers. On this basis, the rational behavior of voters in South Tangerang was not fooled by the various cases that ensnared their relatives in the corruption of the Ratu Atut Chosiyah dynasty.

Dynastic politics has always been an issue that has attracted public attention to be discussed during the Regional Head Election (Pilkada) process. This is because in reality there is a tendency in many regional heads to try to build dynastic politics. The simultaneous Regional Head Election (Pilkada) in 2020 is quite interesting with several candidates emerging from the family of President Jokowi. This study aims to determine how online media of kompas.com and okezone.com in framing news about dynastic politics in the 2020 Pilkada. To achieve this goal, this study uses a qualitative research method, where the author uses the framing analysis model of Robert N. Entmant. The object of this research is news regarding the politics of President Jokowi's dynasty, in online media kompas.com and okezone.com. The data collection technique used literature study. The results of the analysis of this study present news about dynastic politics in the 2020 Pilkada. In the results of the news framing analysis using the Robert N. Entman model, there are several stages such as problem definition, problem estimation from problem sources, moral decision making, and problem solving. The news on kompas.com clearly highlighted news that was contra or disagreeable with the existence of dynastic politics in Indonesia, especially in the 2020 Pilkada, while the news on okezone.com clearly did not question the existence of dynastic politics in the 2020 Pilkada. The victory of the two PDI-Perjuangan candidates is part of the General Chair's commitment to ensure that his party leads to produce quality young leadership. Of course, the imbalance in the selection of sources in the news is very important so that people who see it can provide a more objective opinion of the news.

Abstract Political dynasties remain powerful in Philippine politics to this day. However, in recent years, the Philippines has experienced some significant transformations in the realm of traditional politics. Some politicians have emerged at the local level willing to confront those supported by dynastic politics. Since most literature on Philippine politics have emphasized the durability of elite domination, such changes have not yet been fully studied. This article addresses how progressive politics evolves in contention with a political dynasty based on a qualitative, exploratory case study approach by highlighting the case of Dinagat Islands where a progressive congresswoman who ran for Congress defeated a candidate from an entrenched political dynasty by practicing programmatic governance. It explores how government capacity to respond to demands of the people can be improved. As a result of this, the article clarifies a new, though not common, dynamic of Philippine politics in the 2010s and provides important implications for the possibility of future political development and theorizing in the country.

The purpose of this study is to describe and explain the origins, causes and impacts of the emergence of dynastic politics in Mangaledang Lama Village, Portibi District, Padang Lawas Utara Regency. The form of this research is qualitative research with descriptive analysis, to describe and explain in depth the origins, causes and impacts of the dynastic politics. The result of the research states that starting from Daman Huri Siregar who was elected as village head from 2001 - 2011 (two periods), after that there was a desire to rule by passing his power to his own younger brother through the election of the village head. The contributing factor is the ownership of economic capital that is financially stable, has social capital such as a strong network among the community, has symbolic capital, namely the siregar clan which is known as the dominant ruling clan so that when compared to other clans, it is far less in number than the siregar clan. The impact is that power only circulates in the family itself, so that opportunities / opportunities for other people to get rights in the political and governmental sphere are not obtained. Therefore dynastic politics will be very detrimental to others and have an impact on a good system of government and a democratic system because opportunities for people who are capable and capable do not get opportunities in the political process.
