The objective of the study: to study tuberculosis incidence in migrant workers in Russia from 2010 to 2019.Subjects and Methods: data from Federal Statistical Surveillance Forms No. 8 and 33 for 2010-2019, Federal Migration Service data on the number of migrant workers, and Rosstat data on the population of Russia. Pearson's chi-squared test was used for data analysis.Results. Over the past 10 years in Russia, the steadily decreasing tuberculosis incidence in the permanent population has had no direct impact on the spread of tuberculosis among migrant workers. The high incidence of tuberculosis among migrant workers which is many times higher than the one in the permanent population and reaches its maximum in the youngest age groups (18-24 and 25-34 years old), poses a serious threat to the infection control in the permanent population of Russia.

In the framework of this scientific article the author of the criterion of efficiency of the country’s exports, developed on the basis of export performance indicator used by the Federal Statistical Office of Germany. The advantage of the proposed criterion of the author is that he became a multiparameter using a number of indicators such as the exporting country and the importing country. This criterion can be used to calculate the export potential of the country in the period of instability of the world economy, since under the proposed criteria can be considered not only the annual interval but also quarterly and monthly.

The objective of the study: to determine the objectivity of statistical data on HIV infection, to analyze HIV situation in Russia at the beginning of implementation of the State Strategy Aimed to Combat the Spread of HIV Infection in the Russian Federation until 2030.Subjects and methods. The data from federal statistical surveillance forms no. 4, 8, 30, 33, and 61 were studied. The number of those died is presented as per the Rosstat data. Epidemiological and statistical analysis, expert assessment, and content analysis of publications and regulations were applied.Results. In Russia, HIV epidemic situation has stabilized; in 2019-2020, HIV-associated incidence and mortality were decreasing, and the number of deaths in patients with TB/HIV co-infection is also going down. In Russia, COVID-19 will not contribute to an increase in HIV incidence and mortality in the near future. The negative effects of the pandemic are partially offset by a sharp reduction in contacts, the stable supply of antiretroviral drugs, and the expansion of hospital-replacement technologies in specialized medical units. It is necessary to set up a unified monitoring system for HIV infection in this country. Federal statistical surveillance form no. 61 on HIV infection requires improvement and revision.

AbstractUnicompartimental and total knee arthroplasty is one of the most successful and most performed operations worldwide. In the last years the number of primary knee arthroplasty increased constantly. The aim of this study is to analyze the rising numbers of primary knee arthroplasty and to see how it is used in Germany. In this retrospective study data, provided by the Federal Statistical Office of Germany from 2008 to 2018 was analyzed, using operation codes from the German procedure classification system and characteristics like age, sex and type of the prosthesis. We found a slight increase of unicompartimental and total knee arthroplasty over the investigated 10 years from 150.504 in 2008 up to 168.479 procedures in 2018, with a maximum of 169.334 in 2017. Most patients were female and over 65 years old. Interestingly, there was an obvious decrease of regular TKA in the year 2013, with a relevant impact on the total number of procedures. In the following years the number rised again reaching the former level in 2015 and is still increasing. The highest increase was found in partial knee arthroplasty, with a constant rise every year, starting with 7988 in 2008 up to 21.072 in 2018. In contrast, we found a relevant reduction of constrained prosthesis in primary TKA, whereas the number of semi-constrained prosthesis in primary TKA is again rising after a decrease in 2015. We found that the number of bicondylar TKA and especially UKA increased from 2008 to 2018. Regarding an aging population, we can expect a rising number for Primary knee arthroplasty and in consequence a rising number of revision arthroplasty in the future. This will be a challenging cost factor for the healthcare system in Germany.

The article examines the specificity of commodities exports of Germany’s eastern and western lands. The indicators of sectoral export specialization are determined by comparing sectoral export quotas of the federal lands and the East/West with the general German sectoral export quotas. Calculations are based on data from the country's Federal Statistical Office for 2008 and 2019. As a result of the analysis of the indicators obtained, the general characteristics of the export specifics in relation to industrial branches and federal lands in two parts of the country are formulated, changes among the main specialized branches are explored, the roles of individual lands in the creation of export profiles of East and West Germany and the degree of correspondence between export profiles of the East/West and their lands are determined. The author outlines the convergence of new and old lands in various dimensions of specialization, the success of the East in the competition for specialization in the cars export and the preservation of significant Western advantages in the mechanical engineering’s export specialization and in the formation of new sectoral export focuses, and highlights the federal lands that have achieved high efficiency in the given field (Saxony in the East and Baden-Württemberg in the West).

Purpose of the study. To study the epidemiological pathology of the upper gastrointestinal tract among the population of St. Petersburg for the period 2015 to 2018. Materials and methods. We calculated and analyzed the incidence, prevalence, dynamics and structure of the pathology of the upper gastrointestinal tract in various age groups. The reporting forms of Federal Statistical Observation № 1 for 2015–2018 were the source of the information. Results. The gastritis and duodenitis has a high incidence among chronic diseases of the upper gastrointestinal tract. The high incidence is can be seen among adolescents aged 15–17–20.3 per 1000. Peptic ulcer can be seen among people aged 18–55–1.2 per. Nowadays there is a problem of registration and accounting of gastroenterological hernias and gastroesophageal refl ux disease. This issue has to be solved and requires search for resolutions in the face of its prevalence and social signifi cance.
