The relatively sparse literature has documented various challenges international migration poses to martial stability, yet we know little about immigrant women's experiences with marital breakdown. Drawing data from a qualitative study of Chinese economic immigrants to Canada, this article explores women's experiences of navigating the processes of this life circumstance, and of how gender—including their senses of changing gender roles in post-immigration and postmarital contexts—plays out in these trajectories. The results of this exploratory study illustrate the value of transcending dichotomous conceptions of the relationship between gender and migration, and of opening spaces in which to better understand immigrant women's increasingly diversified life trajectories and the range of barriers they encounter along the way. The study also reveals multiple opportunities for social work contributions: tackling systematic barriers to settlement, facilitating social support in the community, and recognizing individuals’ diverse trajectory potentials (including the potential for this typically unwelcome event to be integrated as personal growth and transition).

Mental wellbeing changes dynamically with life circumstance and is a barometer of current societal healthand productivity. Using an online assessment tool called the MHQ, the Mental Health Million project collectsreal-time global data on population mental wellbeing that can be used to guide public health campaigns andpolicy making, as well as provides a large-scale dynamic dataset for investigative research. Here we describethis dataset which includes 47 individual indicators of mental wellbeing, 30 life context metrics that placepeople within their personal circumstance, as well as aggregate scores of mental wellbeing overall, andacross 6 dimensions. We provide a detailed summary of the MHQ assessment methodology and recruitmentoutreach strategy that capitalizes on the opportunity afforded by the global growth in internet connectivity.The dataset automatically updates over time and is available for researchers to download for non-commercialuse. As of May 2021, there were 104,000 responses in the dataset, spanning 10 English-speaking countries.By the end of 2021, the MHQ will be launched in Spanish and Arabic, facilitating the expansion of the datasetto cover an additional 20 countries. A summary of key trends from 2020 are provided in the Annual MentalState of the World Report 2020.

Demographic trends in partnership have revealed that more people are remaining single or becoming single as they grow older by choice or life circumstance. Understanding whether there is an association between partnership and life satisfaction may provide relevant information on how to better support individuals either choosing or finding themselves single. Although there are a limited number of studies with the explicit purpose of examining partnership status and life satisfaction, this review intended to synthesize current knowledge in order to better understand and explore the context of this important demographic trend. This review examined published peer-reviewed articles in three major social science databases (PsycArticles, PsycINFO, and Social Services Abstract) between 2009 and 2020 and identified nine articles for inclusion. Examining single persons compared to those in marital or nonmarital partnerships, the results of this review indicate a more positive association between partnership and life satisfaction while also demonstrating several gaps and a lack of research. The results of this review support the need for more in-depth research on the life satisfaction of adults as well as a greater exploration of the context of life satisfaction among diverse groups of single adults.

<p class="Normal1"><em>Human agency</em> adalah konsep bahwa seorang individu memiliki kompetensi dalam perencanaan, disiplin, realisasi dan mengevaluasi perilaku mereka sendiri dalam keadaan hidup termasuk dalam pembelajaran. Ini telah dipelajari dalam pendidikan dengan empat sifat inti seperti sengaja, pemikiran, reaktivitas diri, dan reflektifitas diri membentuk individu sebagai aktor, bukan reaktor. Hal ini dapat digunakan untuk memahami pembelajaran mandiri siswa, karena konsep pembelajaran mandiri memiliki kesadaran diri secara sengaja. Jika individu selalu bergantung pada lingkungannya, itu karena ia tidak memiliki agen dalam keadaan hidupnya. Menurut sebuah penelitian terbaru yang dilakukan pada tahun 2012, telah menemukan bahwa seorang siswa memiliki kurang otonom dalam belajar, dan juga dari survei yang dilakukan pada 2017-2019 ditemukan bahwa 61,50% siswa di 4 sekolah menengah atas memiliki pembelajaran mandiri yang lebih rendah. Fenomena ini mempengaruhi perilaku selingkuh dan menunda-nunda mereka. Pada artikel ini akan membahas kondisi siswa dalam belajar dan memberikan rekomendasi baru dalam perspektif tentang intervensi alternatif dalam praktik bimbingan dan konseling tentang agensi manusia untuk membentuk dan memahami perilaku belajar mandiri dan juga sifat internalisasi agensi manusia dalam proses konseling dalam konteks dalam belajar.</p><p align="center"><em></em><strong><em><br /></em></strong></p><strong><em>Abstract</em></strong><em><em>: Human agency is a concept that an individual has a competencies in planning, discipline, realization and evaluate their own behavior in life circumstance including in learning. It has been studied in education with four core properties such intentionally, forethought, self-reactiveness, and self-reflectiveness shape an individual as an actor, not a reactor. It can be used to understanding a student autonomous learning, because the concept of autonomous learning has a self-cognition purposely. If individual always depends on their environment, that because he does not have an agentic in his life circumstance. According a latest research that conducts in 2012, has found that a student has a lack of autonomous in learning, and also from survey that conduct in 2017-2019 it’s found that 61,50% students in 4 senior high school has lower autonomous learning. This phenomena influence to their cheating and procrastination behavior. On this article will discuss a student’s condition in learning and gives a new recommendation in perspective about alternative intervention in guidance and counseling practice about the human agency to shape and understanding an autonomous learning behavior and also internalization properties of human agency in counseling process in the context in learning.</em><br /></em><strong><em></em></strong>

In an earlier article, the central composite design was applied to the determination of geometrical features of casts in a two-phase transformation process to produce the wheel covers of automobiles whereby the A356 alloy is reinforced with organic substances for composite property enhancement. This article reexamines the assumptions in that circumstance to revise and expand the optimisation through the response surface methodology to a new method, Box-Behnken design (BBD), to facilitate a comprehensive treatment of the sand casting product parameters. Casting geometrical optimisation can be modelled to involve lengths, breadths, widths, heights, densities of casts and weight loss, varied at three discrete levels. The parameters are translated into codes (–1,0,1) with specified actual, minimum and maximum values. The framework, validated by published literature data, indicates its feasibility in a real-life circumstance. This article assessed the effects of the casting geometry parameters on the responses. Besides, it examined the accuracy of the parameters to predict in the regression models deployed. It was concluded that the BBD and the regression models are adequate and predict correctly. The BBD can be applied by composite developers to improve casting dimensional accuracy and economics.

Teaching and training cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) through simulation is a priority in Health Sciences degrees. Although CPR is taught as a simulation, it can still be stressful for the trainees since it resembles a real-life circumstance. The aim of this study was to assess the physiological effects and anxiety levels of health sciences undergraduates when faced with CPR process in different temperatures (room temperature, extremely cold, or extremely warm). This was a descriptive cross-sectional before–after study conducted during the 2018/2019 academic year with 59 students registered in the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Castilla-La Mancha University (UCLM). State Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) questionnaires were distributed among the students before and after the CPR simulation. We found greater level of situational anxiety in undergraduates faced with extreme adverse temperature scenarios (extreme heat and cold), especially in conditions of extreme heat compared to controlled environment (at room temperature). We discovered differences regarding sex, in which men scored 6.4 ± 5.55 points (STAI after CPR score) and women scored 10.4 ± 7.89 points (STAI after CPR score). Furthermore, there was less lactate in blood, before and during the event in individuals with anxiety. In addition, beginning in Minute 7, we observed a remarkable decrease (but not significant) in the performance of rescuers with anxiety. Programs targeted at promoting coping mechanisms to reduce anxiety before a critical clinic situation should be implemented in academic training.

In the perspective of social cognitive theory, humans as an actor that has a cognitive capability to observe, learn, understand, motivate, plan, act and evaluate an achievement or result that has been done. This perspective argues that a human can learn just by observation, although they do not have direct experience to do such specific tasks. This argument has revised a concept of behavioristic about imitation learning Miller and Dollard. Bandura has a viewpoint to have this result in his research with a triadic reciprocal determinism. Peoples has a cognitive function to observe and consideration to make a decision to act in their life circumstance not only reaction form their environment but their also an actor to make their self a decision-maker. So in a learning process, observational learning formed in live modeling. This modeling has an effect of influencing a mindset of the student in their self-belief, such competencies, capabilities to accomplish a task this self-belief known as self-efficacy. In self-efficacy has one source that links with an observational learning process, there is a vicarious experience. This article will describe and discuss a synthesis about live modeling in observational learning, linkage with vicarious experience in self-efficacy, and how to live modeling to shape a student's self-efficacy and a stage in the group counseling process.

The article deals with the scientific positions of scientists on the social and legal understanding of the concept of "difficult life circumstances", analyzes the specified concept in relation to such concepts as: "difficulties", "unpredictable situation", "stressful situation", "critical situation". Considered difficult life circumstances as part of social exclusion, in relation to the concepts of "normal life", "life difficulties", "life situation", "life circumstances" and "complexity", in terms of understanding difficult life circumstances as a person characterized by relevant physical, physiological, mental factors of the person, as well as other factors that are not dependent on the will of the person, etc. It is emphasized that in the scientific literature there is no unity in the terminological sense of the concept of "difficult life circumstance", and therefore, in fact, there are no clear criteria characterizing the situation in which a person or his or her family has got into difficulty. In the cancers of the unit, the scientist identified the main factors that can cause difficult life circumstances and gave the author an understanding of the concept of "difficult life circumstances". It is stated that the difficult life circumstances, as an integral part of social exclusion, imply a significant limitation of a person in the realization of individual human rights, which is connected with his social status, insufficient financial resources, old age, health status, etc.
