Aim of the research. To determine the concentration of basic plasma electrolytes in women in in vitro fertilization program who received more individualized medication correction on the basis of determination the clinical and pathogenetic role of disorders of the neuroendocrine regulation of water-salt metabolism, as well as to study data of the modern methods of prevention and correction of electrolyte disorders. Research materials. 110 patients in vitro fertilization program were examined. Conclusions. Thus, when using standard protocols for ovulation stimulation in in vitro fertilization program patients are more prone to have potassium and sodium imbalance.  Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome was detected only in patients of the main group with the standard ovulation induction protocols. This syndrome was not observed in patients receiving the combination therapy.

Abstract Superabsorbent polymers have important applications in many fields, but insufficiency of water/salt absorbency, water retention, and swelling rate limit its application development. Herein, we fabricated HEC-g-P (AA-co-AMPS)/laterite by aqueous solution polymerization, the structure and morphology of the superabsorbent polymer were characterized by FTIR, SEM and TG/DTG. The optimal water absorbency of the superabsorbent polymer were 1294 g/g, 177 g/g, and 119 g/g in distilled water, tap water, and 0.9 wt% NaCl solution, respectively. The superabsorbent polymer had good water retention and re-swelling properties at different temperatures, and fast water absorption rate, and reached swelling equilibrium at 5 min. The swelling mechanism of the superabsorbent polymer was explained by the pseudo-second-order swelling kinetics model and Ritger-Peppas model. The effect of the amount of hydrogel on the water evaporation rate in soil was studied, and it had a good effect.

The consumer acceptance of alternative plant-focused ingredients within the meat industry is growing globally. Oat protein is insoluble and used to increase product yield and fat retention. Furthermore, inclusion of oat protein can provide manufacturers another option for extending beef supplies. As the consumer diet shifts for improvements in nutritional density, oat protein is an alternative ingredient that lacks information on inclusion in a ground beef formulation. Coarse ground beef was allocated to one of four treatments, mixed with oat protein (0%, 1.5%, 3.5% and 4.5%), water, salt, pepper, textured vegetable protein, soy protein concentrate, and sodium tripolyphosphate. Meat blocks (n = 3 batches) were finely ground and formed into patties (N = 65/treatment). Patties were placed onto an expanded polystyrene tray, overwrapped with polyvinyl chloride film and displayed for 7 days. Instrumental color (L*, a*, and b*) decreased throughout simulated display (p = 0.0001). Increased usage rates of oat protein in patties resulted in greater cook yields (p = 0.0001). Objective measures of Allo-Kramer shear force values increased as oat protein inclusion rates increased (p = 0.0001). Oat protein can be incorporated in ground beef patties with positive effects on cook yield, but inclusion rate may have a deleterious impact on color and instrumental tenderness.

Considering the ever-increasing role of rare-earth elements (REE) in the modern hi-tech field, their effective use has tremendous significance, although the production process is inevitably linked to the large volumes of industrial ammonia effluents and heavy metal wastes. In the process of metallurgical separation of metals, the emission of large volumes of noxious gases and radioactive substances is inevitable. Lean technogenic raw material processing is sensible under the condition of the development of non-waste technology. The lack of competent regulations governing the disposal of waste containing REE has an impact on adjacent territories, accumulating in water bodies and, as a result, in the human body. Such an impact cannot pass without a trace, however, the ambiguity of opinions in the scientific community regarding the toxic effects of REE on living organisms determines the relevance of a more detailed study of this issue. The study of ytterbium ions removal from aqueous standard test solutions by the adsorptive bubble method—ion flotation—was conducted. The experiments showed that by using the ion flotation method, the maximum removal of ytterbium (III) was achieved at pH = 8.30. It was shown that ytterbium (+3) distribution coefficients as a function of aqueous phase pH value in the process of ion flotation with sodium dodecyl sulphate were derived. The comparison of values of removal pH with those of hydrate formation pH allowed to conclude that ytterbium floate as basic dihydroxoytterbium dodecyl sulphate Yb(OH)2(C12H25OSO3).
