ABSTRACT The establishment of grain crops in Brazil is an important industrial process in the agricultural chain, requiring the correct deposition of granular fertilizer over the sowing furrow and more efficient, precise, and sustainable assessments in the operation, which can be achieved with the statistical process control. This study aimed to assess the effect of the angular velocity on different inclinations of the helical metering mechanism on the granular fertilizer deposition. An automated electronic bench was used to assess the deposition quality of granular fertilizers considering different angular velocities (1.11, 1.94, and 2.77 m s-1) and longitudinal and transverse inclinations (+15, +7.5, 0, −7.5, and −15°), with the helical doser by overflow. Flow data were collected and submitted to descriptive statistics and statistical process control. The metering mechanism showed expected variations, with acceptable performance under process control. The values of the flow rates of the granular fertilizer increased as velocity increased, standing out longitudinal inclinations of +7.5 and +15°, providing higher fertilizer depositions.

Dietary nitrate supplementation is evidenced to induce physiological effects on skeletal muscle function in fast-twitch muscle fibers and may enhance high-intensity exercise performance. An important component of sport-specific skills is the ability to perform explosive movements; however, it is unclear if nitrate supplementation can impact explosive efforts. We examined the existing evidence to determine whether nitrate supplementation improves explosive efforts lasting ≤ 6 s. PubMed, Scopus and Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) were searched for articles using the following search strategy: (nitrate OR nitrite OR beetroot) AND (supplement OR supplementation) AND (explosive OR power OR high intensity OR high-intensity OR sprint* OR “athletic performance”). Out of 810 studies, 18 were eligible according to inclusion criteria. Results showed that 4 of the 10 sprint-type studies observed improved sprint time, power output, and total work in cycling or running, whereas 4 of the 10 resistance-based exercise studies observed improvements to power and velocity of free-weight bench press as well as isokinetic knee extension and flexion at certain angular velocities. These results suggest that nitrate potentially improves explosive exercise performance, but further work is required to clarify the factors influencing the efficacy of nitrate in different exercise modalities.

Abstract The Event Horizon Telescope recently captured images of the supermassive black hole in the center of the M87 galaxy, which shows a ring-like emission structure with the south side only slightly brighter than the north side. This relatively weak asymmetry in the brightness profile along the ring has been interpreted as a consequence of the low inclination of the observer (around 17° for M87), which suppresses the Doppler beaming and boosting effects that might otherwise be expected due to the nearly relativistic velocities of the orbiting plasma. In this work, we use a large suite of general relativistic magnetohydrodynamic simulations to reassess the validity of this argument. By constructing explicit counterexamples, we show that low inclination is a sufficient but not necessary condition for images to have low brightness asymmetry. Accretion flow models with high accumulated magnetic flux close to the black hole horizon (the so-called magnetically arrested disks) and low black hole spins have angular velocities that are substantially smaller than the orbital velocities of test particles at the same location. As a result, such models can produce images with low brightness asymmetry even when viewed edge on.

The analysis sensitivity of strength, rigid and dynamic characteristics of the console rotor to variation of design parameters in paper describes The speed of rotation of the shaft, the material of the impeller vary. The dependences of radial and axial displacements on the angular velocities of rotation and the modulus of elasticity of the impeller material are established. For objects of the type of rotary systems with a cantilever arrangement of the impeller, not one, but a set of criteria has been introduced into consideration, which should be taken into account in the research of this type of objects. The tendencies of change of the first and second critical rotational speeds from the modulus of elasticity, rotor rotational frequencies and density of the impeller material are also determined. On this basis, recommendations have been developed for determining the design parameters of the rotor part of the air blower with a cantilevered impeller. Keywords: air blower; critical rotation speed; natural vibration frequency; rotary system; stress-strain state

Abstract Introduction Shoulder stability is secured by dynamic and static stabilizers. Rotator cuff is responsible for dynamic stabilization. In cases of shoulder instability their activity is disturbed. Capsulolabral repair restores mainly static stabilization. This surgery treatment technique of shoulder instability was first described by Bankart in 1923. His idea, with further modifications, is commonly used up to this day. Evaluation of muscle shoulder recovery after stabilization should be one of the important criteria to allow patient to return to sport and work. However, not much isokinetic assessment after capsulolabral repair was described. The aim of this study were the following: the comparative assessment of the shoulder rotatory strength in patients following arthroscopic capsulolabral repair of unilateral anterior traumatic instability and clinical assessment with comparison of pre and post-operative results. Material and methods Forty-five patients, 14 women and 31 men, with an average follow-up of 4.4 years were tested bilaterally for internal and external rotation strength at four angular velocities. ASES and UCLA tests were collected before and after surgery. Results The values of peak moment and muscle power parameters were slightly lower for an operated shoulder in comparison to a healthy shoulder for the external rotation. Total work parameter in external rotation was significantly lower for the operated shoulder in comparison to the non-operated side. The internal/external muscle group balance was lower for the operated shoulder in comparison to reference values in the women group. Furthermore, both ASES and UCLA scores were significantly higher after operation. Conclusions After arthroscopic capsulolabral shoulder stabilization, slight differences in isokinetic evaluation, especially in external shoulder rotation, occur. It affects rotators muscle balance. In functional evaluation significant improvement in shoulder function occurs.

On the example of a composite disk, created by means of a hot-fit operation, the pulloff strength of such a disk is studied. separation forces as centrifugal forces with relative rotation of its central axis. It is shown that the created interference fit in the assembly has a pronounced tendency to decrease. However, for vanishing, sufficiently significant angular velocities of rotation are required. An example of calculating the near-limit angular velocity, depending on the original covered part of the assembly, of the thermomechanical properties of the material and the geometric characteristics of the final structure is given. Such computations in decreasing interference are essential when operating conditions require the rotation of the composite disc to be accepted as part of its functionality.

In this paper, we construct the characteristic form of the equations of dynamics of the Cosserat medium and the Cosserat pseudocontinuum for bounded bodies. The method of matrix transformations proposed by the author is used for construction and allows obtaining the necessary relations using identical transformations. The obtained equations are compared with those for a symmetrically elastic isotropic homogeneous body. A method is proposed for selecting the necessary equations for computational schemes at the internal and boundary points of the body. A sequence of operations is proposed for iterative calculations of stresses, particle velocities, moment stresses, and angular velocities of particles in a coupled model of the Cosserat medium.

The article considers the development of a mathematical model of the stabilization and rotation system in the modes of stabilization, targeting, auto-tracking of the target and electrical arrest. The output signals shall be signals proportional to the components of the angular velocities of the line of sight, the angles of pitch and dash of deviation around the axes of the gyrosystem and the angles of inconsistency of the line of sight relative to the optical axis of the homing head. The system of cardan suspension of the stabilization and rotation system is considered, where the actuators are located on the axes of rotation of the outer and inner frames of the cardan suspension. The homing head is mounted on the inner frame. The inner frame is a gyrostabilized platform. Depending on the mode of operation of the stabilization and rotation system: in the stabilization mode, the coordinate system that is stabilized is assumed to be stationary in inertial space; in the auto-tracking mode of the target, the coordinate system that is stabilized by Oxyz is returned according to the change of direction to the target; in the mode of electrical locking, the axes of the coordinate system which is stabilized by Oxyz coincide with the axes of Oxoyozo connected to the body of the main product. To obtain differential equations, the projections of the total vector of the kinetic moment of the inner and outer frames on the axis of the outer frame are taken and written according to the theorem on the change of the kinetic moment of the considered system relative to the axes of suspensions. The total moments of external forces applied to the outer and inner frames around their axes of rotation, which have the following components: moments of actuators, moments of viscous and dry friction, imbalance and other unaccounted for factors around the axes of the outer and inner frames . The moments of the forces of viscous and dry friction are presented in the classical form, taking into account the signs when changing the direction of movement. The mass of the inner frame with all devices mounted on it, and the mass of the entire movable system (outer and inner frames), as well as the radius vector characterizing the displacement of the center of mass, give a static imbalance of the movable system relative to the suspension axis of the i-th frame are components imbalance. The scientific novelty of the work is to obtain a mathematical model for a particular product, as well as the practical feasibility of their application. The result is a differential equation that fully describes this system of stabilization and rotation, takes into account the parameters of actuators, turbulent moments, as well as random effects and can be used depending on the tasks.

In a class of diffusion Markov processes, we formulate a problem of identification of nonlinear stochastic dynamic systems with random parameters, multiplicative and additive noises, control functions, and the state vector at a final time moment. For such systems, the identifiability conditions are being studied, and necessary conditions are formulated in terms of the general theory of extreme problems. The developed engineering methods for identification and optimizing nonlinear stochastic systems are presented as well as their application for unmanned aerial vehicles under wind disturbances caused by atmospheric turbulence, namely, for optimizing the autopilot parameters during a rotary maneuver of an unmanned aerial vehicle in translational motion, taking into account the identification of its angular velocities.
