Abstract Speed is one of the most important factors that can significantly change the severity of accidents. Providing a model with predictive factors leads to designing traffic plans to promote safety. This study aims to create statistical models for accidents occurred on Firuzkuh highway, Iran. Moreover, the probability of each type of accident was determined using the logit model. Various modeling methods, such as backward, forward, and entering methods, were evaluated to find the best method. Finally, since the backward method had the best performance in terms of R2 and goodness of fit, the logit model of accidents was created. According to the model, the independent variables of the 12-24 hours, rainy weather, a speed of 81-95 and 96-110 km/h, the lack of attention ahead and the Pride brand of vehicle increased the severity of accidents, while the variables with negative coefficients of Tuesdays, the summer and spring seasons, sunny weather, a male driver, and daylight, reduced the severity of accidents.

Abstract The paper focuses on the design of an electric driven bicycle that can stimulate power using solar energy and the rear wheel is provided with motor. The vehicle is being designed to house one driver; essentially, there would be need for additional space for other passengers and materials In India, the pollution rate caused by fuel-consuming vehicles is very high. It is necessary to reduce the consumption of fuel/use of fuel consumption vehicle and its hazardous emissions. The sunny weather in India lasts around 9 months, hence solar powered bicycle seems to be appropriate in India. Solar powered bicycle can become an alternative to the fuel consuming bikes and scooters.

The impact of lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic in April–June 2020 on UV exposure of office workers was assessed using an online survey on time spent outdoors and environmental data for different locations in the UK. Without the need for commuting and with the flexibility of homeworking, weekday time spent outdoors was higher in the 2020 lockdown than in the same period in 2017. The weekday erythema effective radiant exposure was higher in 2020 due to an additional 45 min outdoors in the late afternoon that was not observed in 2017 and high UV levels due to extremely sunny weather in spring. The lockdown did not impact the frequency of time spent outdoors around midday, which was still governed by work commitments, and at the weekends, no difference between 2020 and 2017 was observed. In 2020, responders felt that time outdoors was very important for their health and well-being.

Possibility of using propylene covering materials of white and yellow color with a density of 17 g/m2 to protect the surface of strawberries from photoinhibition was studied. Their influence on the temperature change of strawberry fruits of the studied varieties has been established. The study included 5 varieties of strawberries, polypropylene non-woven fabric of white and yellow colors with a density of 17 g/m2, black color with a density of 60 g/m2 and a polyethylene film of 60 microns. It has been established that the temperature of strawberry fruits differs on the sunny and shady sides and depends on the mulching material. In hot sunny weather the temperature of the berries under shelter is 10–15 % lower than in the control with a slight advantage of photoprotective properties in the yellow material compared to the white one. It turned out that by its spectral properties the yellow fabric was closer to the optimal ration of the spectral composition of light for photosynthesis of fruit plants. The transmittance of yellow polypropylene non woven fabrics is 7.2 %, higher in red region of spectrum and 13.8 % lower in blue region of spectrum compared to the white color fabrics. It would to take into account that when the strawberry plants are covered with nonwoven fabric for a long time to protect the berries from overheating, it is necessary to take into account its spectral properties, which affect the functioning of the photosynthetic apparatus.

The study of butterfly in the in Air Dingin Landfills needs to be carried out to find out what types of butterflies are in this area and how their diversity is, given the increasing area of Landfills that will change the surrounding environment into a place of rubbish heap. The study was conducted by implementing survey method with insect net. The collection of butterflies was carried out in 2 periods (2x6 = 12 days) in April-June 2019 during sunny weather from 09:00 – 12:00 of Western Indonesian Time. All butterflies were collected at ±5 m distance from the collector. The data was analysed to calculate abundance, relative abundance, frequency of the presence of butterfly, and determine diversity was conducted by using the Shannon-Wiener Index and Evenness index. The results obtained 5 families, 14 genera, 22 species, and 220 individuals consisting of 122 males and 98 females. The diversity index value obtained was 2.27 and categorised as the medium category it is mostly because, as assumed, the environmental conditions of the Air Dingin Landfills were still in good condition.

Relevance. The most complex and common physiological disease on the cabbage is a tip burn, associated with impaired Ca2 + transport inside the plant. Of all the ways to control this physiological disease, the most effective is the cultivation of tolerant hybrids. Material and methods. The aim of the research was to evaluate the mid-late and late ripening F1 hybrids of white cabbage for a tip burn and to determine the degree of hybrids responsiveness to calcium deficiency depending on weather conditions. The studies were carried out at breeding and experimental plot of the vegetable growing department at All-Russian Rice Research Institute in 2017-2019 on drip irrigation. Material - hybrid combinations of ARRRI breeding.Results. The manifestation of a physiological disturbance called “burn of the top of the inner leaves of the cabbage head” or “tip burn” on individual hybrids was observed during all years of cultivation, but to a different degree; The greatest damage to the heads was recorded in the years (2017 and 2019) with high productivity, which is due to the intensive assimilation ability against the background of warm sunny weather. In 2019, the manifestation of burns was noted in 25% of hybrids, which allowed them to be divided into 4 groups, depending on the degree of damage and the spread of the disease. It was established that hybrids with overmature standing for 2.5-3 weeks and also hybrids that were promptly removed at the time of mass technical ripeness had a high degree of damage. The lines that are most often found in hybrid combinations with signs of burns (269-824, Agr1321, 269Jas13, Byum112, Yas25, etc.) were identified, but it is rather difficult to assume the nature of inheritance, and, therefore, to develop the principle of pair selection when developing relatively stable hybrids also not yet possible.

The transportation problem is one of the main issues that are difficult to solve in several big cities. When congestion occurs, it can disrupt community activities. We already know that "congestion will cause various negative impacts, both on the driver and in terms of the economy and environment. The intersection of four highways, Blitar City, East Java, has the intensity of a dependable vehicle. This is because around the area, and there are markets, residential areas, public force terminals, and squares. Besides that, the place is accessible to public transportation from Blitar City to Malang City. In this study, the authors conducted a field survey of traffic flow, road geometry, and side barriers during rush hour during sunny weather for seven days at the intersection. From the results of the analysis, minor paths have disrupted major pathways and caused delays of 35%. This figure has exceeded the requirements recommended by MKJI 1997. From the results of this study, it can also be an evaluation material so that in the future, the intersection of four Highway, Blitar City, East Java, can be functioned better.

Air temperature and humidity as well as water temperature are very important environment variables in planting DFT hydroponic lettuce plants in a greenhouse. Controlling and monitoring the temperature and humidity generally still done manually by farmers. This problem can be solved by building an air conditioning system that implements the concept of the Internet of Things, which plays a role in automation control of actuators, and MQTT protocols as its data communication medium. Based on the test results, the system has been able to perform measurement and conditioning of air temperature and humidity, as well as water temperature in the greenhouse automatically. Comparison of observation and test result data with sunny weather conditions, showing that the average and maximum value of air and water temperature on test, lower compared to observation data. While the average and minimum value of humidity in the test are higher than the observation data.

Broadly defined, mirativity is the linguistic term often used to describe utterances that speakers use to express their surprise at some unexpected state, event, or activity they experience. As an illustration, imagine the following scenario: rain is an infrequent occurrence in the Arizona desert, and the news forecast predicts another typically long stretch of sunny weather. Wanda and her colleague are planning a hike in the mountains that afternoon. Aware of this prediction, and being familiar with the typical desert climate, they step outside into the pouring rain. This elicits the surprise of Wanda: based on the weather forecast and coupled with her background knowledge, the rain is an unexpected event. As such, Wanda has a number of linguistic options for expressing her surprise to her colleague; for example, Wow, it’s raining! It’s raining! No way, it’s raining?(!)I can’t believe it’s raining(!)I see it’s raining(!)It looks like it’s raining(!)Look at all this rain(!) These utterances provide a sample of the diverse lexical and grammatical strategies a speaker of English can deploy in order to express surprise at an unexpected event, including expressive particles such as wow and no way, surprised intonational contours (orthographically represented by the exclamation mark ‘!’), rhetorical questions, expressions of disbelief, and evidential verbs such as look and see. When we look across the world’s languages we find that there is considerable intra- and cross-linguistic diversity in how mirative meanings are linguistically expressed. The examples above show how English lacks specific morphology dedicated to mirativity; however, the focus of this article is on the role morphology plays in the expression of mirative meanings.
