AbstractWe develop a quantitative model that is consistent with three principal building blocks of Unified Growth Theory: the break-out from economic stagnation, the build-up to the Industrial Revolution, and the onset of the fertility transition. Our analysis suggests that England’s escape from the Malthusian trap was triggered by the demographic catastrophes in the aftermath of the Black Death; household investment in children ultimately raised wages despite an increasing population; and rising human capital, combined with the increasing elasticity of substitution between child quantity and quality, reduced target family size and contributed to the fertility transition.

The role of Elimination Personnel (EP) implementing filariasis MDA in Pekalongan City Background: Filariasis is a disease caused by filarial worms, Pekalongan City has carried out filariasis MDA (Mass Drug Administration) since 2011-2015. However, the results of the Finger Blood Survey (SDJ) showed that the microfilaria rate was > 1%. This study aims to describe the role of Elimination Personnel (EP) and the obstacles faced in implementing filariasis MDA in Pekalongan City.Method: This study used a cross sectional research method. Sampling in this study used simple random side, total 95 respondents. Data obtained by structure interviews using questionnaires.Result: The results showed that EP in selecting the target family members to be treated is optimal (63.2%). EP in helping puskesmas determine the dosage and administration of medicines for each of the assisted families (52.6%). EP in recording the assisted families who drank the medicine on the card was optimal (55.8%). EP in monitoring and recording treatment reactions that may arise and reporting to health workers was optimal (61.1%).Conclusion: The roles of TPE elimination workers of Pekalongan City were optimum, such as selecting family member who will be treated, helping Puskesmas in deciding the dosage and giving the medicine to every treated family, record of treated family who take the medicine in the given card, and in the supervision and record of medical reaction that might happen and reporting it to health workers. Keywords: Filariasis, Elimination Personnel

The approach of this research are research and development approach which aims to enlarge the given model. The data retrievement technique are observation, an in-depth interview, and document observation. The result of the research shows PBAK program which based on the family in Prenggan is already work but less maximum. The indicators of this research are: first, the minimum stakeholders participation, especially the local government and the young organization, the only active participation comes from the volunteers and the passive participation comes from the target family. Second, the continuation of program constrains by the low understanding of local government, a little amount of human resourcer both in quantity and quality, not independent financial aspect, there are no supporting policy from the local government, low regeneration of KPK volunteers in Prenggan. Therefore, the researcher offers a model enlargement alternative which is the implementation of participative and sustainable program. This result is based on the given main model, which is the partial model because there are no sustainable briefing, and also the low participation of the stake holders. Keywords: The model enlargement, program implementation, participative, sustainable

Chapter 1 of Family-based Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Depressed Preadolescents discusses preadolescent depression. Marked interpersonal impairment has been associated with depression in preadolescents and appears to be one of the mechanisms for recurrent depression in adolescence and adulthood. Depressed preadolescents experience frequent negative interactions and more distant relationships with parents, as well as more problematic and fewer close peer relationships. Preadolescent depression not only interferes with normative social development at a formative period but also results in residual impairments in interpersonal functioning, which may increase their risk for recurrent depression into adolescence and adulthood. Effective interventions for depression in the preadolescent period that target family and interpersonal risk factors may reduce risk for depression recurrence in adolescence.

In spite of the fact that substance abuse remains a public health challenge and social problem of enormous magnitudes, with many adolescents and families involved and affected by substance abuse disarrays the issue of proper counselling still requires more attention. In view of this therefore, this study has explored and appraised conceptually the desirability as well as applicable integrated strategies for counselling of the children in the substance abused family. Based on the appraisal of existing strategies for counseling of substance abused family then this study has been able to establish that if people involved as well as the victims of the abused will be able to learn about concepts such as inner strength, self-praise, and group praise, which may prompt setting up of goals for positive decision on their addiction. Similarly, the strategies will encourage the target family to generate more and more positive self-portraits and, as these may inspire making positive lifestyle changes.

AbstractHot-spot path in the thermodynamic space $({\rm \rho} R,T_{\rm i} )_{{\rm hs}} $ is investigated for direct-drive scaled-target family covering a huge interval of kinetic energy on both sides of kinetic threshold for ignition. Different peak implosion velocities and two initial aspect ratios have been considered. It is shown that hot spot follows almost the same path during deceleration up to stagnation whatever the target is. As attended, after stagnation, a clear distinction is done between non-, marginally-, or fully igniting targets. For the last, ionic temperature can reach very high values when the thermonuclear energy becomes very high.

Abstract Paratarg-7 (P-7) is a frequent paraprotein target in monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS), multiple myeloma (MM), and Waldenström macroglobulinemia. Patients with P-7-specific paraproteins carry a hyperphosphorylated paratarg-7 (pP-7). Because pP-7 carrier state is dominantly inherited, we determined the paraprotein targets in 4 families with familial MGUS/MM. No antigenic target was identified for the paraproteins from 2 members of one family. Paraproteins from affected members of 2 other families targeted P-7, and paraproteins from 4 affected members of a fourth family targeted P-8, which is encoded by the ATG13 gene. P-8 was hyperphosphorylated in the affected family members (pP-8) and pP-8 carrier state is inherited in a dominant fashion. Six additional autoantigenic nonfamilial paraprotein targets were also hyperphosphorylated in the respective patients compared with normal controls. We conclude that paraproteins of affected members with familial MGUS/MM share family-typical hyperphosphorylated antigens and hyperphosphorylation of paraprotein targets might be a general mechanism underlying the pathogenesis of MGUS/MM.
