Abstract Achieving energy efficiency is a very important step of applying the concepts of sustainability, this will reduce the financial costs that coming from energy consumption for the purposes of operating HVAC system so this concept will give a great effect on the environment and the economic aspects. Bank buildings are represented of the financial strength of the country, as they have a strong and direct impact on the reality of society and urban reality, and these buildings often consume a large amount of energy for cooling and heating purposes in the hot and dry climate of Iraq, so the research problem is focus on the knowledge deficiency of the importance of the role of technologies of sustainability in advancing the banking work at the design and performance level. Therefore, the aim of research was to find the knowledge aspects of designing the external envelope of the banking building in a sustainable manner that contributes to achieving energy efficiency and reducing the negative impact of banking buildings on the environment, as a result technique of sustainability and technological developments have led to the change and innovation in designing an advanced environment in banking buildings, such as achieving communication in the work environment in addition to providing comfort to the occupants in it, and this will lead to improved performance and production.

The financial health of enterprises and their continued profitability and competitiveness in the market are influenced considerably by the level of earnings achieved. Enterprises are forced to report the best possible results to demonstrate financial strength and competitiveness and to provide a good accounting for investors and creditors. Thus, the main objective of the study is to investigate whether there is any mutual dependence between corporate financial stability and earnings management. To measure these categories, Altman’s Z score was used to determine the financial health of enterprises, and the Beneish M-score and modified Jones model were applied to detect earnings manipulation. Using the chi-square test, the results revealed a statistically significant dependence between financial distress and earnings manipulation. Then, a multivariate statistical technique of correspondence analysis was applied to the categorical data to find categories of factors that are mutually correspondent. Based on a dataset of 11,105 enterprises operating in the Visegrad countries, the results found that enterprises that are threatened by bankruptcy or located in the gray zone tend to manipulate their earnings to maintain credibility, creditworthiness, and competitiveness. Because the financial health of an enterprise provides a potential incentive for earnings manipulation, state authorities, regulators, and policy-makers may benefit from the findings of the study.

The recovery of oil and gas from underground reservoirs has a pervasive impact on petroleum-producing companies’ financial strength. A significant cause of the low recovery is the plugging of reservoir rocks’ interconnected pores and associated permeability impairment, known as formation damage. Formation damage can effectively reduce productivity in oil- and gas-bearing formations—especially in sandstone reservoirs endowed with clay. Therefore, knowledge of reservoir rock properties—especially the occurrence of clay—is crucial to predicting fluid flow in porous media, minimizing formation damage, and optimizing productivity. This paper aims to provide an overview of recent laboratory and field studies to serve as a reference for future extensive examination of formation damage mitigation/formation damage control technology measures in sandstone reservoirs containing clay. Knowledge gaps and research opportunities have been identified based on the review of the recent works. In addition, we put forward factors necessary to improve the outcomes relating to future studies.

Previous research on professional football offer conflicting results regarding the impact of wage dispersion on team performance. However, the existing intra-league heterogeneity among clubs is overlooked and could be the reason for the diverging outcomes. The aim of this paper is to reanalyze this relationship having the clubs’ size as moderator. Payroll – which captures the financial strength – is used as proxy of club size. Ordinary Least Squares regressions with season and league fixed effects are employed. Dispersion is measured by three indexes for robustness check. The outputs confirm the quadratic relationship between wage dispersion and performance, but adding that identical levels of dispersion have different impact on football clubs according to their financial strength.

The city of Detroit is associated with the creation of and rise of industrialism in North America. Industrialism, specifically Fordism, within the municipality of Detroit maintained financial strength for decades until the mid-1980s when a new global capitalist era emerged in the Global North. Currently, the city of Detroit is in the process of rebuilding. In the academic literature on development, there is an apparent gap that explores how current ideologies shape development in social spaces. In this review, the ideological influences of sustainable development and neoliberalism are explored through analysis of the social, historical, political, and economic lenses that contribute to and shape development within the city of Detroit. Moreover, the ideological influences are analyzed to understand how explicit discourse for sustainable development either forms or breaks implicit systems of social control. The paper concludes by acknowledging that progressive notions of equality and growth are difficult to actualize due to the inequitable allocation of capital under our system of global capitalism. The paper closes with an exploration of the implicit and symbolic biases that appears inherent in development ideologies to contribute to a genuine and possible path to an equitable and sustainable future for places such as Detroit.

XXX is one of the pioneers and market leaders of building materials companies in Indonesia. Looking at the performance over the last five years PT. XXX is experiencing a decline in production capacity, although judging from the market share its products are still quite attractive to customers. This means that PT. XXX failed to grow its business even in an effort to maintain it, while the building materials industry continued to grow. The problem is how this can happen and what steps a company must take to return its business conditions for the better. The purpose of this study is to get an overview of the strategic aspects of the company with the SPACE Matrix Model and its dimensions including; financial strength, competitive advantage, industrial-strength, and environmental stability. By calculating the average value of each aspect, then the result is used to determine the position of PT. XXX in the SPACE Matrix. Based on the results of the study, the strategic position of PT. XXX is in the Competitive Quadrant. Therefore, the recommended strategy is integration strategy, intensive strategy, or collaboration (joint venture). By using the recommended strategy, it is hoped that PT.XXX will be able to restore its business viability and return to being the market leader in building materials products.

In this study, data from two credit rating agencies are analyzed to consider how different Bank Financial Strength Ratings and Credit Ratings from two rating agencies compare. To my knowledge, prior research has not analyzed Bank Financial Strength Ratings from different rating agencies, nor has it compared Bank Financial Strength Ratings to general credit ratings. These facts make this research unique. Univariate analyses are utilized to show relationships in the ratings data, along with parametric and non-parametric tests to make statistical inferences about the ratings data. There are five findings. First, ratings from different rating agencies are highly correlated. Second, different types of ratings from the same rating agency are highly correlated. Third, bank financial strength ratings are more conservative than credit ratings. Fourth, bank financial strength ratings declined in rating more quickly at the start of the financial crisis. Fifth, bank financial strength ratings from the Kroll Bond Rating Agency were more conservative than ratings from Moody’s Investors Service. The research findings and results are important for investors who consider ratings agency data to determine the risk of banking institutions. The results are also important to businesses that rely on bank credit rating data and policy makers who regulate banking institutions.

The study was undertaken to assess the financial viability of some Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) in Uttarakhand. Financial ratio analysis of FPOs were done on parameters such as liquidity, solvency, profitability and efficiency ratio and Financial Strength of the small organizations for the financial year 2017-18 to 2019-20 were analyzed. Financial ratio analysis depicted that liquidity position of producers’ organization was good and adequate to manage their expenses while, profitability and efficiency position were not adequate enough. Overall,it was estimated that Producers’ Organization are trying hard to make their presence in the market. FPOs require support not only at the individual FPO level but also at the promotion and ecosystem level.
