The article discusses the results of empirical research aiming to study ontological security of actors with low and high activity in life. Ontological security is seen as a life being which permanently embodies independent “I” in real-life contacts with people around and the world. Empirical research engages 119 first-year students at medical college. To study actor’s life activity, the authors applied A.A. Volochkov and A.Yu. Popov’s method of “Diagnostics of student activity” DAS 2, which is based on the theoretical model of actor’s life and includes three components of activity: need in interactions, self-regulation, and satisfaction. N.V. Kopteva’s psychometric method of studying ontological security "OS (PM)" and the method of studying ontological security, built on the principle of the semantic differential "OS (SD)" that were designed on the basis of the ontological security concept, and R. Laing’s alternative clinical conception of ontological insecurity, were also used in the research. To process the data the authors applied methods of mathematical statistics: descriptive statistics, cluster analysis (k-means method), Mann-Whitney U-test, correlation analysis (r-Pearson correlation coefficient). It is stated that students with higher activity differ from students with lower activity and show high ontological security resting on the ontological ground inside and beyond their own “I”, which takes place at two levels of its reflection - less differentiated experiences: confidence in mental “I”, in the body, in the world, in people, in individual value and more differentiated experiences: autonomy and vital contacts with the world.

Objective: We determined the features of psychoemotional condition of the children who wereunder quarantine restrictions for COVID-19pandemic for a long time. Methods and scope of research:We carried out the assessment of the psychoemotional condition of 52 adolescents who were in quarantine forCOVID-19 pandemic. The number of girls and boys among the surveyed was the same - 26 children of each gender. A "non-existent animal" projective test was used to assess the psychoemotional sphere of the children. We appliedthe psychometric method by Ch.D. Spielberg, Yu.L. Haninto determine the reactive anxiety (RА) and personal anxiety (PA). The questionnaire by A. Bass, A. Darki was used to single out the various aspects of the symptom complex of aggression and to calculate the index of aggression (IA) and the index of hostility (IH). Sleep quality was assessed with the help of the Pittsburgh Questionnaire. Results and discussion: Assessment of the psychoemotional condition of the children, who were in quarantine for COVID-19, showed the significant violationsin the majority of them (95.15%), which were characterized by the manifestations of anxiety (78.85%), aggression (59.62%) and exhaustion (15.38%). A high level of anxiety was found to be more often in the girls (25.00%), while in the boys, it was registered almost 2 times less (11.54%), and on the contrary, a high level of aggression in the combination with anxiety orwithout itwas determined more often in the boys (26.92%) than in the girls (13.46%). The frequency of exhaustionsymptom complex did not depend on gender. A more detailed description of the level of anxiety, performed with the help of psychometric methods Ch.D. Spielberg, Yu.L. Hanin, confirmed that the high levels of both personal and reactive anxiety were more inhering in the girls. Assessment ofthe forms of aggressive behavior showed that the manifestations of physical aggression and negativism were the most typical features for the boys, while the indirect aggression, resentment and guilt were observed in the girls more often. Thehighlevels of IA werefoundtooccur almost 3 times more oftenin theboys than in thegirls, whilethehighlevel of IH wasdetected equally often both inthegirls and intheboys. In the children who were in quarantine for COVID-19, psychoemotional conditions were often accompanied by sleep disorders, at the same time, they were observed more often in the girls than in the boys.

The present study investigated the association of students’ fundamental ideas and misconceptions about ontological features of atom identity and behavior with the formation of their portrayed representations of the atomic structure. Participants (n = 421) were secondary education students in the eighth, tenth, and twelfth grades. Students’ portrayed representations of the atomic structure were accessed through drawing tasks, while their understanding of the ontological features of atom was measured through a specially designed questionnaire. Latent Class Analysis (LCA), a psychometric method, was applied to the elementary features of the portrayed representations to classify them and test the potential coherence of their representations regarding atomic structure. The LCA revealed three latent classes, which showed a relative coherence in three of the anticipated models, “Particle model,” “Nuclear model,” and “Bohrʼs model.” Moreover, students’ conceptions and misconception about the ontological features of atom were used as covariates in the LCA and their effects on the above-mentioned class-memberships were estimated. Results indicated a significant effect of students’ conceptions of the atomic ontological features on their portrayed representations of the atomic structure. Implications for theory and practice are discussed.

Background: chronic endogenous depression in youth has a number of features associated with their severe atypia, work and social maladjustment, deterioration in the quality of life, high risk of suicidal and self-injurious behavior, difficulties in choosing therapy, difficulty in diagnosis and nosological evaluation. Until now, no special research has been done on chronic endogenous depression among young people of this age.Purpose of research: to identify psychopathological features and dynamics of endogenous depression developed in youth, to work out a clinical typology. Patients: 62 young patients (16–25 years old) were clinically and psychopathologically examined, who were first admitted to FSBSI MHRC, within the period of 2017 to 2020 suffering from chronic endogenous depression state for more than two years. Clinically significant somatic, neurological, and mental pathology defined the criteria for exclusion. Methods: for the research the clinical-psychopathological and psychometric methods were used. The patients were examined by the psychometric  method upon admission to the hospital and at the stage of reduction of psychopathological disorders upon discharge: the HDRS, SANS and SOPS scales included. Results and conclusion: the clinical picture of youth chronic endogenous depression is characterized by pronounced polymorphism, atypia, erosion of  the thymic component, and the dominance of negative affectivity. Based on the analysis of psychopathological characteristics of endogenous depression in youth, two typological varieties were identified: unitary depressions (type  I) and supplementary depressions (type II). Among the type II depressions, 2 subtypes were distinguished: with neurosis-like disorders and with  psychopathic-like disorders.

Most E-commerce transactions nowadays are electronically executed via well-known internet websites (Amazon, Alibaba, eBay, and others). Online sales in the Middle East, including Jordan, are estimated to count 2% of the overall retail sales, that is too much lower than the 15% in developed markets (Mehta & Bhandari, n.d.); and online sales in Jordan are still limited (Statista, 2020). Therefore, this study comes to determine the threats limiting E commerce in Jordan. The services sector accounts for about two thirds of the Jordanian economy and the insurance sector is considered an important component of it (Ghazal, 2015). The problem is to what extent threats from risks accompanied with E-commerce limit it from the viewpoint of Jordanian insurance companies’ employees. Five (5) insurance companies out of twenty-five (25) are randomly selected for analysis and a questionnaire is conducted according to a psychometric method for data collection. The results show that perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and perceived risk with products/services are the main effective factors for predicting transaction loss, while delay time is significantly affected by perceived ease of use and perceived risk with product/service. Policymakers can rely on the results of this study to avoid the risks facing online shopping in Jordan and enhancing it. This study contributes to the literature by reducing the dearth of previous research regarding the determinants of threats and risks limiting online shopping and E-commerce in emerging markets.

The paper discusses the role of emotional intelligence (EI) in the performance and psychological well-being of a person and presents an analysis of international and Russian research on this topic. The results of the Emotional Intelligence Test (EIT), a psychometric method for measuring EI, created by the authors on the basis of the model of EI as an ability of John D. Mayer, Peter Salovey, David R. Caruso and the psycho-evolutionary theory of emotions of Robert Plutchik, are presented. The method was created by analogy with MSCEIT (The Mayer-Salovey-Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test). A total of 1007 people aged 20 to 72 years (487 men and 520 women, average age 35.9) took part in psychometric testing of EIT. The EIT method has demonstrated satisfactory psychometric indicators of reliability and validity.
