Purpose: Analysis the effectiveness of various methods of radiation studies for the detection of renal angiomyolipomas (RAMLs), including the diagnosis of Wunderlich syndrome. Material and methods: The analysis of the results of a comprehensive radiation study of the kidneys of 115 patients who were diagnosed with focal formation in primary renal ultrasound was carried out. Further, of those 115 people, 47 patients underwent MRI of the kidneys, 60 patients – CT and 8 patients complex MRI+CT, including contrast-enhanced vasculature. Results and discussion: Angiomyolipoma was detected by ultrasound in 38 (33.0 %) of 115 patients, and according to MRI and CT in total in 27 (23.5 %) patients. Coincidence of ultrasound findings and MRI and CT results was in 18 patients. Consequently, the sensitivity of ultrasound in the diagnosis of RAML was compared with MRI – 45 %; when compared with CT – 42.8 %, and specificity – 55 % and 57.1 %, respectively. Reliable signs of RAML in ultrasound were hyperechogenic homogeneous structure, clear smooth contours of the formation. The rounded form of education is statistically unreliable. Statistically significant characteristics of RAML in magnetic resonance imaging are heterogeneous structure, heterogeneous hyperintense MR-signal on T1 and heterogeneously hypointensity on T2-weighted images, always uniformly hypo-Fs for T1 / T2 Fs, with hypo clear boundary between education and renal parenchyma on T1 in the opp phase. Reliable signs of RAML with CT are non-uniform structure of education, with non-uniform x-ray density. Conclusion: Ultrasound diagnosis is necessary for screening kidney disease, while CT and MRI have greater sensitivity and specificity to determine the nature of focal formation. With the development of Wunderlich’s syndrome, a complex of radiological methods, including ultrasound, MRI and CT, allows to diagnose the cause of hemorrhage, as well as to obtain complete diagnostic information necessary for the surgeon to plan treatment.

This research is to determine the features of identification of products of the slaughter of nutria while post-slaughter veterinary-sanitary control, to assess the slaughtered yield, to study the peculiarities of the chemical and biochemical composition of the products of the slaughter of nutrias. This will allow, under the conditions of import substitution, to extend the source of raw materials for the production of sausage products and assortment of meat ready-to-cook foods. This paper represents the results of the veterinary and sanitary assessment of nutria meat as a prospective raw material for the meat processing industry in Ukraine. The peculiarities of identification of slaughter products of nutria are determined by the presence of fat deposits, rounded form lipoma, and the structure of internal organs while post-slaughter veterinary and sanitary control of nutrias’ carcasses. It is proved, nutrias have been shown to have a sufficiently high slaughter yield of 57.5 ± 2.3% as compared to rabbits. It has been proven that nutria has a fairly high lethal yield compared to a crawl. The difference in the slaughter rate of female and male species was negligible and was 4.5 ± 1.4%. Nutrias’ Meat Index is 4.9 ± 0.7. The high content of flesh on the spinal-chest and the thigh makes it possible to recommend these parts to produce portion (pieces) semi-finished products According to physicochemical composition nutria meat is characterized by an increased content of moisture (90.27 ± 2.18%), high content of protein (20.82 ± 1.15%) and low content of fat (8.34 ± 0.71%), which makes it possible to attribute this kind of meat to dietary

Most statistical software packages report the input values to statistical tests (e.g., means and standard deviations for an unpaired t test) in a rounded form (e.g., to two decimal places), with this rounding having been performed after the test statistic has been calculated. However, in some cases, the input values are rounded before the test statistic is calculated, most likely because of some form of manual intervention by the researcher. We describe a method that enables the probabilistic identification of detecting this rounding, the conditions required for this method to be applicable, the tests where pre-calculation rounding can be detected, and the implications of its detection.

The results inferred from the present work show that Al3Ti phase has a strong affinity to react with silicon (Si) in the molten alloy leading to formation of (Al,Si)3Ti phase instead. This reaction is independent of the grain refiner type. The molten liquid temperature would change its morphology from platelets at 750°C into dendritic structure at 950°C. It has also been observed that (Al,Si)3Ti phase platelets precipitate within the α-aluminum dendrites, whereas TiB2 or AlB2 particles are released into the surrounding interdendritic regions. Introduction of the grain refiner, regardless its type, would cause change in the α-aluminum dendrite morphology from an elongated to a more rounded form. The results also reveal that addition of 100 ppm B will reduce the initial grain size by ∼85% which is more than the effect of addition of 0.2%Ti in the form of Al-10%Ti (about 65%). Elimination of undercooling is important to obtain the maximum grain refining effect.

The aim of this research is to examine the morphological and pomological characteristics of the wild pear population in the northwestern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the purpose of allocating genotypes for breeding programs of varieties and rootstocks. During 2012 and 2013, the study of the wild pear characteristics was carried out on the localities of: Banja Luka, Manjača, Potkozarje and Kozara. This research included morphological characterization of vegetative organs and pomological characterization of the fruits of all the selected genotypes. The shape of leaves in all the examined genotypes was elongated. The study of wild pear populations in the Banja Luka region has shown that wild pears are characterized by mostly smaller fruits, rounded form, while a few genotypes had fruits of elongated and flattened shape. Fruit weight varied from 7.44 g to 21.47 g and 73% of genotypes had fruit weight of over 10 g.

Eustrongylides exisus. In the article we present histological changes in the liver of goby fishes infected by nematodes larvae Eustrongylides exisus. We found out a pathological process and structural changes in an organ that are characteristic for focal hepatitis. Hepatocytes are megascopic in a volume, rounded form, a kernel is pushed back to the shell of cell. Kernels are diminished in a volume, have wrong form (pyknosis). Kupfer’s cells are marked in some areas. Lymphoid-leukocytic infiltrations there are in liver parenchyma, perivascular and endovascular couplings. Kernels in hepatocytes are absent in the areas of cellular infiltrations. We marked that hepatocytes are presented by amorphous structureless mass. We found out excrescence of connecting tissue which is the protective reaction of organism in the presence of nematodes larvae Eustrongylides exisus in some places round cellular infiltrations.

A principle of an acoustic Eaton lens array and its application as a removable tsunami wall is proposed theoretically. The lenses are made of expandable rubber pillars or balloons and create a stop-band by rotating the incoming tsunami wave and reduce the pressure by canceling each other. The diameter of each lens is larger than the wavelength of the tsunami near the coast, that is, order of a kilometer. The impedance matching on the border of the lenses results in a little reflection. Before a tsunami, the balloons are buried underground in shallow water near the coast in folded or rounded form. Upon sounding of the tsunami alarm, water and air are pumped into the pillars, which expand and erect the wall above the sea level within a few hours. After the tsunami, the water and air are released from the pillars, which are then buried underground for reuse. Electricity is used to power the entire process. A numerical simulation with a linear tsunami model was carried out.
