Early numerical abilities predict later math achievement and could be improved in children by using various training methods. As the literature on the use of training videos to develop numerical abilities is still surprisingly scant, the aim of the present study was to test the efficacy of a numerical training video on the development of counting and number line knowledge in 3-year-old preschoolers. Far transfer effects to cardinality and working memory were also examined. The study involved 86 children randomly assigned to two intervention groups: a numerical training group exposed to videos on counting and number lines; and a control group exposed to videos on colors and animal names in a foreign language. After the video training, there was an improvement in the numerical training group’s counting skills, but not in their number line knowledge, and this improvement persisted six months later. The numerical training group also showed a far-transfer enhancement of cardinality six months after the intervention. Based on our results, numerical training videos could be effective in helping to enhance early numeracy skills in very young preschoolers.

Purpose. Interaction and observation are critical skills for occupational therapists who work with pediatric clients. The objective of this study was to investigate whether using standardized child patients within a situated simulation-based (SSB) program increases students’ knowledge and clinical skills when working with children in occupational therapy. Materials and Methods. This controlled trial with multiple measures recruited students from the pediatric occupational therapy curriculum enrolled in an SSB program in consecutive academic years ( n = 62 ). Experimental group students participated in a simulation experience with video training sessions, followed by an SSB exam with standardized child patients; the control group performed the video training simultaneously. Quantitative outcomes included quizzes to measure clinical knowledge, video training scores, and a situated simulation exam to assess clinical skills. Results. The experimental group had a significantly higher postwritten quiz scores than the control group; the video training scores were not significantly different between groups. Linear regression analysis showed a significant association between the SSB exam and postwritten quiz scores ( β = 0.487 , p = 0.017 ). The experimental group had a total pass rate of 65.6% for the SSB exam. The communication and interaction pass rate was 53.1%; the basic evaluation rate was 68.8%, implying that communication/interaction skills are hard to simulate from video training alone; therefore, the authentic fidelity of the SSB program needs to improve further to enhance learning. Conclusions. The SSB program with standardized child patients improved students’ clinical knowledge and skills more than lectures and practice alone. Using standardized child patients in programs or exams appears to positively influence students’ performance. Situated simulation-based learning that allows the realistic practice of observation and communication skills may enhance students’ clinical competency. Future research should develop standard training methods and evaluation processes in high-fidelity simulations for generalized use in other occupational therapy programs.

Following the announcement by the national government of the cases of the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020, tourism activities in various destinations in Indonesia, including the Pancoh Ecotourism Village, as one of the partners of the UGM Tourism Studies Program, were immediately postponed. This condition impacted the local economic circulation as the income of the population decreased. In the background of this pandemic scenario, tourism operations will hopefully be resumed as soon as possible. The Community Service Program was therefore carried out in order to achieve the key objective; to create a promotional video for the Pancoh Ecotourism Village in preparation for re-operation under a new health protocol via collaborative work. The other goal of this Community Service Program is to fulfill the commitment to higher education through Tridarma. In addition, a Community Partnership was formed to assist the Pancoh Ecotourism Team in particular and the Village Community in general in the planning of post-pandemic tourism activities to encourage the sustainability of tourism in the village concerned. This program used Community-Based Participatory Action Research (CBPAR) which consists of five stages, from project design to reporting, as an approach. The results of the program include a video training program and a virtual video promotion of the Pancoh Ecotourism Village. Public engagement and institutional collaboration have been important and considered to be the key to success of this program. By the end of the program, video promotion will be released via the social media of Pancoh.

Abstract Shaft misalignment is a common fault in rotating machines in the industry. Inadequate coupling alignment of rotating shafts often results in serious vibration problems and premature machine component failure. This article introduces the concept of using a laser shaft alignment system to improve equipment reliability, maintenance efficiency, and reduce rotating component wear. This paper explores the concept of implementation of laser shaft alignment system on rotating machines in the Bulla field, Platform 6. For this purpose, an appropriate tool has been selected for further implementation. As compared to a traditional mechanical method, the proposed electronic approach has more accurate results and optimize the performance gained via the previous techniques. Additionally, the application of the proposed system is user friendly and faster compared to the previous method. The measurement procedure is issued as per system manufacturer recommendation, and manufacturer video training will be submitted to appropriate maintenance staff. The novelty of the approach is to increase the reliability of rotating machines on Platform 6 in the Bulla field and develop Company maintenance processes by implementing a new laser measurement system.

The development of information technology and the advancement of the process of educational informatization have provided technical support for education and education reform. The virtual simulation teaching mode is no longer a new thing for people, and it is more and more accepted by people familiar with it. Induction and analysis of short message texts generated by students’ online learning can fully understand students, make effective adjustments to the classroom, guide teachers’ teaching practice, and optimize the classroom, thereby improving students’ learning ability, practical ability, innovation ability, and collaboration. To study the effect of virtual simulation education on improving the skills of medical students, this paper is based on video training and education of virtual reality side-cut high-simulation simulator using case analysis and literature analysis methods. It collects data from databases and builds on online education. The model was developed, and a large number of relevant pieces of literature were read and analyzed through the literature survey method. The research results show that virtual simulation teaching can effectively improve students’ technical thinking and ability. Students’ technical thinking and ability are about 30% higher than traditional teaching methods, and the cooperation consciousness between students reaches 0.8 consciousness, which can solve the contradiction between popularization and improvement. And to solve the problems of polarization and transformation of underachievers, students’ personalities can be fully displayed and developed, and education and teaching will be on the track of quality education. This shows that training videos based on virtual reality technology can play a very good role in improving students’ technical mastery.

Abstract: The 4.0 Industrial Revolution is marked by rapid advances and technological changes in various fields, including education. To welcome the era of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution, learning curriculum in schools must follow the technological advancement. Teachers generally provide group assignments to be presented by students. The main obstacle faced is that students are less capable to create and deliver presentation content. Therefore, it is necessary to provide insight about presentation ability and the use of technology to make presentations. The activity began by compiling a training module on using Explaindio Video Creator to make explainer video. Training is provided in the form of tutorials and workshops, so students can directly practice the material being discussed. Before and after the training, pre-test and post-test was conducted to test the students' understanding of the presentation using an explainer video. The results found that the average participants before attending this training did not understand the presentation technique and did not know about the presentation assisted by explainer video. After attending the training, the average participants have already understood the presentation techniques and already known about the presentation assisted by explainer video and made it on their own.           Keywords: explainer video; industrial revolution; presentationAbstrak: Revolusi Industri 4.0 ditandai dengan kemajuan dan perubahan teknologi yang pesat di berbagai bidang, tidak terkecuali bidang pendidikan.
