Background: Low back pain among equestrian sports is because of the significant connection between thoracolumbar junction dysfunction (TLJD) and its commencement in equestrian sports; appearing as low back ache spreading out to the adjoining sites and structures. Objective: To determine the frequency of Thoracolumbar Junction Dysfunction (TLJD) among Equestrian Polo Athletes Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study with a sample size of n=108 was conducted at different polo clubs of Lahore and Islamabad Pakistan for the duration of 6 months from July 2020 to December 2020. Participants were selected via non-probability convenient sampling technique. Male athletes between 18 to 50 years of age, non-competitive with mechanical low back pain were included in the study. Athletes who fulfill the inclusion criteria were assessed using Robert Maigne’s Gold standard examination protocol. SPSS version 21 was used for data entrance and Descriptive analysis was done to present the results of study. Results: The mean age of the subjects was 36.86±6.65 years, duration in sports was 13.58±4.81 in years and frequency of participation in sports was 3.648±0.75 days per week. Total n=108 athletes were examined for TLJD, 66.7% (n=72) were found to be positive with the thoracolumbar junction dysfunction. Conclusion: Thoracolumbar Junction Dysfunction among Equestrian Polo Athletes was an immensely prevailing condition Keywords: Athletes, athletic injuries, dysfunction, overuse injuries.

Horses in equestrian sports are commonly trained in arenas with prepared footing. Information on the number and variants of such arenas is generally unknown. This paper provides an overview of the primary construction types of riding surfaces in Sweden including details on composition, constructions principles, usage frequency, maintenance, and cost of operation as well as to investigate rider perception of the ideal arena properties using a large population of riders. Data on 656 equestrian surfaces in Sweden obtained up to 2014 are presented, of which 373 were outdoor and 283 were indoor arenas. Dressage and show-jumping were the main disciplines conducted in the arenas. Sand-mineral arenas were most common outdoors and sand-woodchips arenas most common indoors, followed by sand-fibre arenas and even fewer synthetic arenas. Comparing the three most common arena types, dragging was most often done on sand-woodchips and sand-fibre arenas. Harrowing was less often done on sand-mineral arenas compared to sand-woodchips and sand-fibre arenas. Combining dragging, harrowing, deep harrowing, and rolling, arenas with higher usage were maintained more frequently, compared to those used less frequently. It was commonly claimed that the top-layer needs renovation every other-4th year or every 5th to 10th year. Few respondents allocated more than 10,000 SEK in yearly maintenance costs, with the exception for sand-woodchips and sand-fibre arenas followed by synthetic arenas. The shortest duration perceived between required renovations was found for sand-woodchips top-layer arenas. Ideal surface properties were evaluated by 3,158 riders. Dressage and show-jumping riders differed somewhat regarding ideal spans of functional arena properties: for impact firmness, responsiveness, and grip. The current study likely included well-utilised arenas, compared to those less well-utilised. The resources necessary to keep an arena consistent over time seemed underestimated. Knowledge of maintenance and priorities for arenas are important to users and arenas managers, be they construction companies or arena managers in order to maximise the outcome of efforts for arena improvement and optimise locomotor health for horses that use them. Further, many arenas were new and research into organic arena management is important, especially if equestrians continue to build and renew arena surfaces.

The British horseracing industry is committed to safeguarding the welfare of racehorses throughout their racing careers and beyond. Former racehorses who do not retire to a stud career and are suitable for second careers are often retrained to compete in other equestrian sports. Horseball is a growing discipline, which proactively supports retraining of racehorses (RoR) that could offer a suitable second career for former racehorses. This study explored the key attributes that horseball competitors look for in a potential former racehorse to promote a successful career in the sport. Participants voluntarily completed an online, 18 question survey (SurveyMonkey®), distributed through horseball related communication channels (Facebook™, Instagram™ and the British Horseball Association). Horseball competitors were asked (a) what key physical and behavioural characteristics they considered necessary for a successful horseball horse and (b) whether they would consider competing a former racehorse. A total of 45 horseball competitors completed the survey representing a margin of error of ±13% at the 95% confidence interval for the UK horseball population (n=200). Most respondents celebrated former racehorses’ suitability for horseball competition; 73.72% (n=32) had already owned and competed a former Thoroughbred racehorse in horseball and 97.78% (n=44) would consider purchasing and competing one in the future. Former racehorses were recognised to possess key performance attributes: agility, temperament, and speed suitable for a successful second career in competitive horseball. However, injuries that impeded former racehorse performance; lameness and other chronic injuries, were deemed as detrimental to success in competitive horseball. Further work in collaboration with racehorse rehoming stakeholders is required to produce guidelines to identify specific behavioural and physical characteristics which could predict the suitability of former racehorses for successful second careers across equestrian disciplines.

Accurate nail application to horses; It has an important place in horse welfare and performance. In order for horse welfare and performance to be carried out in a positive way, equine requires teamwork and knowledge. It is necessary to know and apply the standards that should be made and controlled by the horse owner, trainer, rider, caregiver and veterinarians within the team that is constantly intertwined with horses in equestrian sports with live. Therefore, commercial enterprises that equestrian sports recreation facilities available in the sport horse farrier horseshoe knife by applications in Turkey are held at certain time intervals. It is to contribute to the academic studies of horse owners, trainers, riders, caregivers and veterinarians in order to ensure the standard of whether or not horseshoes are applying horseshoes to sports horses in a healthy and correct manner.

In the past two years, equestrian sports have become more and more popular with the public. Due to the comprehensive development of equestrian preparations for the 2020 Olympic Games in China, the equestrian sports industry presents an unprecedented favorable development environment in China. This article is aimed at studying the construction of an equestrian event information intelligent processing platform based on data fusion and data mining. This article introduces the relevant theoretical knowledge of data mining and data fusion, including the description of the concept of data mining, the common analysis methods and algorithms of data mining, the basic concepts of data fusion, and the functional structure of data fusion. It discusses various algorithms in cluster analysis and focuses on the analysis of distance measurement and similarity coefficient in cluster analysis. In the experimental part, in order to intelligently process and acquire information, an information intelligent processing platform is constructed based on data fusion and data mining technology. The experimental results of this paper show that the precision rate, recall rate, and F -score of the platform under closed test are much higher than those under open test, and the precision rate is increased by about 7.26%.

Equestrianism is a special sport. Equestrian sports have become popular in people’s lives and have also developed rapidly in our country, becoming a trend. This paper aims to study the equestrian sports posture information detection and information service resource aggregation system based on mobile edge computing. The research of equestrian sports can greatly promote future development. For this reason, we use the power of science and technology to study the equestrian sports posture and make an equestrian sports posture information detection system. The system is designed to feed back the riding posture in real time and can provide equestrian athletes with a more scientific and healthier equestrian training posture. In order to fully verify the practicability of the system, at the end of the forum, the performance of the entire monitoring platform was tested, and three tests were designed, respectively: packet loss rate test, driving test, and riding test. The driving test proves the validity of data transmission, and the riding test proves the practicability of the monitoring platform’s functions. The test results show that the maximum data packet loss rate is 0.6%, which can fully confirm that the monitoring platform has sufficient technical practicability, no problems have been found in practical applications, and it has good market and application prospects.
