The first Covid-19 case was reported on March 2nd, 2020, in Indonesia. Then, the graphic trend of infected people has risen sharply, particularly in The Jakarta Greater Area: Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi (Jabodetabek), as the epicenter. As a quantitative approach, this study aims to investigate people in Jabodetabek about their perspective on the Covid-19 Pandemic. Two hundred ninety-seven residents participated as respondents in fulfilling a self-developed questionnaire spread through online schema. Descriptive analyses were used to explain the data found. The results showed that 65.85 % of the participants have a positive perspective towards characteristics of the Covid-19, 66.13% have a positive perspective toward values, belief, and culture in the environment related to the Covid-19, 71.11% have positive awareness of infectious diseases, and 81.32% have a positive perspective towards services or policies of the government with local wisdom. In conclusion, the public perspective regarding the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia, especially people in the Jabodetabek, is good. However, there were still some participants who did not believe in the Covid-19 Pandemic. Increasing people awareness is needed to control Covid-19 transmission in Indonesia. Therefore, it is recommended to increase health promotion activities (rebuild trust, the precautionary principle, social distancing or physical distancing, washing hands and wearing masks), providing psychosocial support (optimism, quick response, and detection, communication with each other).

Aim: The development and introduction of cell and gene therapies presents complex social and economic issues. Fully addressing these challenges requires engagement with patients and the public. Materials & methods: A systematically conducted scoping review was undertaken to gauge current patient and public knowledge and perspectives, and as such inform requirements for future research, education and engagement activities. Results: A heterogeneous collection of 35 studies were identified. Levels of knowledge among patients and the public were extremely variable. Studies indicated general acceptance of therapies. Conclusion: The review identified the need for tailored educational activities, and in particular the importance of addressing misconceptions. There is also a need for robust qualitative research considering perspectives on current and forthcoming licensed therapies.

Background News websites are an essential source of medical news for the public. Many websites offer users the opportunity to leave comments, which may provide rich insights into public perspectives on health issues. With an established role in public health, fruit and vegetable (FV) consumption is central to the government’s dietary guidelines. However, FV intake continues to fall short of government recommendations. Objective Using comments from news websites, this study aims to explore public perspectives on FV intake and related government dietary guidelines. Methods Data comprised 2696 web user comments generated in response to substantial media coverage for a meta-analysis examining FV consumption and the risk of all-cause mortality, cardiovascular disease, and total cancer. Using an inductive thematic approach, the data were analyzed and coded in an iterative process. Results Four overarching themes emerged: personal factors, rejection, lack of knowledge, and food landscape, each with component subthemes. The lack of clarity around government dietary health guidelines was apparent, and this, along with emergent personal factors, may hinder better consumption. Rejection was also evident, as was a quality versus quantity of life debate. Conclusions There are gaps in the public’s understanding of government guidelines, which may act as a constraint to better compliance. Further work should examine this issue and rejection and the possibility of public fatigue related to dietary health information and news. Similarly, future work should also explore targeted interventions with a specific emphasis on health literacy.

Educational technology is part of a scientific that is mostly engaged in education. Actually, this scientific has significant benefits, especially in the field of education. However, many people do not understand the role of educational technology in education. This can be seen from the diverse perspectives of society on educational technology. When it is associated with educational technology science, there are many views of the community that are very opposite to the scientific clusters of educational technology taught from lectures. So, the purpose of this study was to find out the various perspectives of society regarding educational technology itself. This paper is presented with the addition of theoretical educational technology clumps. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. This study used indirect interviews, which means giving unstructured questions but still focusing on what will be researched. The subjects in this study were six participants who were people outside the educational technology scientific clump. In addition, the author also conducted a literature review which was taken from six articles from three different journals. The results of this study reveal a diverse picture of views on educational technology. All participants argue that educational technology has a significant role, but in terms of the dominant conception they still do not understand it like other scientific. From the results it can be a separate challenge for educational technology. It can be used as an alternative reference in improving the quality of educational technology, either through formal education or other forms.
