In this article, we treat the problem of container storage in the export direction, exactly in the containership loading process. We propose an approach to the problem of container placement in a containership by describing a decision model to help decision-makers (handling operators) to minimize the total containers shifting. This is obtained by using a multicriteria decision method named Electre III (Elimination and Choice Expressing Reality) to identify the best location of any container. Here, we consider four criteria: the container destination, the container weight, the departure date of the container and the container type. This method has as input a matrix of performance and the subjective parameters and gives a ranking of alternatives as an output.

In this article, the authors treat the problem of container storage in the export direction, exactly in the containership loading process. The authors propose an approach to the problem of container placement in a containership by describing a decision model to help decision-makers (handling operators) to minimize the total container movement. This is obtained by using a multicriteria decision method AHP (analytic hierarchy process) to identify the best location of any container. Here, the authors consider four criteria: the container destination, the container weight, the departure date of the container, and the container type.

This study presents the results of random testing of selected on-site wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) constructed in Poland in Masovia Voivodship in the years 2011–2016. The vast majority of tested on-site WWTPs were compact (container) type treatment plants, based on low rate activated sludge (AS), sequencing batch reactors (SBR), or a hybrid (activated sludge supported with biological film, AS + BF) method. Compact type plans are becoming more and more popular in single households in Poland, due to the option of co-financing. According to certificates provided by producers and distributors, container on-site wastewater treatment plants are efficient in BOD5 removal, with the expected removal rate being over 80%. The aim of this study was (1) to analyze BOD5 in effluents sampled from randomly selected on-site WWTPs, (2) to evaluate predicted and real environmental effects of the implementation of on-site WWTPs in selected communes within Masovia Voivodship, and (3) to calculate unit environmental and economic effects of container on-site WWTPs in three different technologies. Results of this study show that in most cases, there is a gap between the declared and the real BOD5 removal efficiency. There is also a difference between the performance of different container type technologies. The lowest real environmental effect was obtained for AS technology, and the highest for the hybrid one. The predicted environmental effect has only been almost achieved in the case of hybrid systems. Based on net present value (NPV) benefits, technologies can be set up as follows: AS > SBR > AS + BF, making the AS method the most effective technology from the point of view of the economy.

The present study was aimed at the identification, differentiation and characterization of red and white Cretan wines, which are described with Protected Geographical Indication (PGI), using ultraviolet–visible absorption spectroscopy. Specifically, the grape variety, the wine aging process and the role of barrel/container type were investigated. The combination of spectroscopic results with machine learning-based modelling demonstrated the use of absorption spectroscopy as a facile and low-cost technique in wine analysis. In this study, a clear discrimination among grape varieties was revealed. Moreover, a grouping of samples according to aging period and container type of maturation was accomplished, for the first time.

The paper analyzes the current state of practical training of firefighters using the existing material and technical base of the garrisons of the Rescue Service of Civil Defense of Ukraine. The existing method of conducting classes in most cases is the same, and the material base does not meet modern requirements and does not allow to reproduce the real conditions of the fire in the process of training personnel. Training of personnel of the fire and rescue service should take place in conditions as close as possible to the real fire, primarily in gassed and smoky rooms. The problem of training firefighters is the use of obsolete training complexes, primarily such as heat and smoke chambers. Existing methods and means of training personnel to work in a smoky and gassy environment, which is modeled on training complexes, do not reproduce the conditions of the fire, and outdated training scenarios allow you to get used to them, which calls into question the effectiveness of such training. technical imperfection is one of the main reasons for improper training of firefighters. Today, the requirements for domestic training complexes are insufficient and do not meet the conditions close to a real fire. As a training complex, in this paper it is proposed to consider a multifunctional container-type simulator, located on the basis of the training ground of Lviv State University of Life Safety. The training of firefighters in a multifunctional container-type simulator takes place in a variety of conditions and situations that allow personnel to be as close as possible to real extreme conditions; have elements of extreme complexity; learn to make decisions independently; create a variety of options for physical and emotional stress. A method of conducting practical classes in a multifunctional container-type simulator for training firefighters has been developed, which in combination with theoretical training will allow to increase the level of their professional training in conditions close to real fires. This technique can be used to train not only professional firefighters, but also members of the newly formed voluntary fire brigades of the united territorial communities.

According to the regulation rules which regulating the preparation and training of firefighters (acting with SCBA) for the intended purpose, their training should be carried out at least once a month in the open air and once a quarter in a smoke chamber. Unfortunately, the regulation rules do not provide clear and understandable rules and regulations for the arrangement of such heat and smoke chambers, training complexes, and the existing ones are morally outdated and do not meet the requirements of today. At the same time, the complex economic and social situation in the state and the excessive cost of constructing such training complexes, even by the models of previous years, making it impossible for them to be built in the garrisons of the SES of Ukraine. The analysis of foreign experience has shown that today it is possible to arrange a training complex for the preparation of firefighters using 40-foot sea containers. The use of such material allows the installation and planning of a multi-purpose container-type training complex (MPCTTC) for several working days, approximately 15-20 meters in height, which will correspond to the height of 4-5 storey buildings, which allow simulating rooms of different area, configuration and layout. The undoubted advantage of such simulators is the ability to fulfil the premises with real smoke and real products of combustion, the supply of fire extinguishing agent to extinguish the real fire, working out the rescue of victims at altitude and in limited space, etc. According to the analysis, the authors propose and reasoning their own design of the MPCTTC that allows performing all the necessary training exercises in the main areas of training firefighter and emergency response manager, namely: preparation of firefighters in SCBA, organization of rescue operations, fire tactics and rescuing from altitude. All of the above-mentioned advantages of MPCTTC make it possible to prepare a firefighter in conditions as close as possible to the real ones, which is an integral advantage in comparison with the existing simulators on the territory of Ukraine.
