The purpose of the article is to consider the concept and determine its components, in the development and analysis of conceptual art in modern design. Methodology. The following methods are used: analysis, synthesis, as well as semiotic, hermeneutic, psychoanalytic. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the study of conceptual art on the examples of hairstyle design, hairdressing collections, and an attempt to comprehend the underlying contexts and meanings in the process of interpretation. Conclusions. Given the fact that modern design as a polymorphic entity with a dominant innovative component actualizes the activities of the new generation and acquires the features of intellectual comprehension of visual information, it can be argued that conceptual art is a priority in this direction. The concept as the initial concept of the conceptual is defined as a multilevel formation of content, the semantic meaning of the sign, which requires a process of interpretation. Through J. Dili's study of the theory of sign systems, the interpretation of the concept in the system of traditions, rituals, customs, which is perceived differently by different people due to belonging to different cultures, societies, etc., becomes clear. It is proved that the creation of the concept is based on processes based on individual practice, personal associations, and the main types of metaphorical and allegorical thinking that arise from the experience of not only cognitive but also substantive activity. The study of conceptual art on examples of hairstyle design, hairdressing collections shows the peculiarity of such works of art: they are not always functional and are not always defined as a utilitarian object, but the use of unusual color, shape, progression, silhouette lines, the fullness of space and volume with signs and symbols, require a multilevel semantic definition in the process of interpretation through intellectual comprehension of the inherent contexts and meanings. Keywords: conceptual art, concept, design, hairstyle.

Te Parapara Garden is the only complete pre-European-style Māori horticultural garden in the world. Historically inspired and empirically researched, it lies within the Hamilton Gardens on a young river terrace immediately adjacent to the Waikato River in Hamilton (Kirikiriroa), Aotearoa New Zealand. In this article, Wiremu Puke (Ngāti Wairere, Ngāti Porou) – a tohunga whakairo (master carver, including using pre-steel tools) and a tohunga whakapapa (genealogical expert on his tribal affiliations) of Ngāti Wairere (the mana whenua, or first people of the traditional ancestral tribal lands of Kirikiriroa) – describes the design and development of Te Parapara Garden from its initial concept in 2003 and the construction of its many features, including the waharoa (gateway), pou (carved pillars), pātaka (storehouse), whatarangi (small storehouse), taeapa (fencing) and rua kūmara (underground storage pit), and the sourcing and use of kōkōwai (red ochre). The garden was completed in 2010. Its ongoing functioning, including the annual planting and harvesting of traditional pre-European kūmara (sweet potato) using modified, mounded soils (puke or ahu), is also covered. The unique Te Parapara Garden is of great cultural importance and a source of pride, knowledge and understanding for national and international visitors and empirical and academic researchers.

Abstract Within the solution of the project APVV-17-0071 Support of Reading Literacy in the Mother Tongue and Foreign Language, it is also important to reflect on outsidership as a certain ambivalent phenomenon, which appears after 1989 in contemporary Slovak literature for children and youth in various analogies. One of the aims of the study is to define the initial concept of outsider from various professional perspectives. We will also focus on the methodological basis of research of outsiders (social status, otherness, disadvantage, bullying, rebellion), not only in contemporary artistic texts but also in working exercises with regard to the learning language style.

This research aims to identify the science misconceptions of elementary school students using CRI (Certainty of Response Index), as well as to describe the factors of students' misconceptions at Primary school Muhammadiyah 8 Tulangan. This research uses the descriptive qualitative method. The subjects used in this study were class V, totaling 26 students. Data collection techniques using the test, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results obtained from the research as a whole, the highest misconception is about the concept of the effect of temperature on changes in the shape of objects by 44.70%, the concept of temperature and heat by 39.42%, and the lowest misconception is about the concept of object properties by 32.04%. From the results of research using the CRI (Certainty of Response Index) method, several factors cause misconceptions, namely from the students themselves who come from the initial concept and students wrong intuition, then misconceptions from the teacher, as well as incomplete book explanations. So it can be concluded that science learning during the covid-19 pandemic caused misconceptions for students of Primary school Muhammadiyah 8 Tulangan

Worn out or worn in started with the creation of a building. For an industrial designer, this was unfamiliar territory. Through working with a specific site came the recognition of the potential of weathering to add a unique quality to the design that goes beyond its initial concept. The inclusion of this potential in the design required a projection into the future and an acceptance of the inevitability of influences that could not be fully controlled. Rain, sun, footprints and cobwebs would all add or subtract to the initially simplistic design concept. It was another realm of design: a 4 dimensional one. Where does the equivalent of weathering exist within the familiar scale of mass produced products? It is in the interaction between the body and the products through use. The potential of this interaction to add another dimension to a design forms the core of this research. The body is a complex site: fluid, directed, precarious, yet nurturing. While it may at first seem unreasonable that the soft body could erode hard, seemingly durable materials, the evidence is all around us. Though it works at a time scale that is almost invisible to our everyday perception, over time the evidence is recorded in our products. Through research by reading, observing, designing, making and unmaking products, the concept of designs embedded within products has emerged. Like a box of chocolates with a series of layers, this research addresses how the wearing away of one layer can reveal the existence of another.

Crashworthiness research has attracted significant attention, focusing on evaluating deformation behavior and selecting composite material components that act as energy-absorbing devices. Among the available composite materials, carbon fibers can absorb high energy during a crash. This paper presents the initial concept of the design application of a carbon fiber Belleville spring. The proposed design of the mechanism is directed to reduce the extent of the impact. An analytical approach is followed to calculate the energy absorbed during a crash. The parametric study is conducted for a different range of load [Formula: see text][Formula: see text]N to predict which spring material absorbs maximum energy. The impact on the occupant side is minimum by the finite element approach. A brief overview of the spring’s energy absorption capability is provided through Ansys, and a correlation is proposed, which helps predict the value of Energy for different loads.

In this article, the person is considered as a subject of social relations. In this regard, the initial concept of the subject is considered as the basis of any process, phenomenon or the Absolute, and then in modern Soviet literature, the subject already has an expanded meaning and denotes a person, not as a separate individual, but as a society. Subjects arise at different levels of social relations, it can be both social groups, society as a whole, and individuals.

The concept of agency was developed and refined in the common law system and, thereafter, imported in the continental civil law system where was confronted with the classic institution of the mandate, based on the representation principle. The modern context of the commerce globalisation and the need to assimilate legal instruments that are often used in the international trade, determined the global and European lawmakers to seek a proper harmonised regulation for the agency contract. Romania produced a first regulation of agency through Law 509/2002 regarding the permanent commercial agents and, thereafter, continued the process through the incorporation of the subject in the Civil Code. This paper examines the conformity of the European and Romanian regulations regarding the agency with the initial concept that, purportedly, inspired the afore said lawmakers.
