One of the tasks of child development is to establish and build social relationships with friends and their environment. Individuals who have been socially excluded will withdraw by not having relationships with others because of the fear of the negative evaluation feom others. The assessment methods used were interview, observation and psychological tests namely were graphic tests, and the Intelligenz Structure Test (IST). The intervention used to change the subject's negative thoughts to become more positive is cognitive therapy. The cognitive therapy process that was given as many as 6 sessions with the target subject was able to change his negative thoughts into more positive ones. The results of the intervention show that the subject was able to replaces his negative thoughts with positive thoughts which ultimately makes the subject feel no guilt anymore.

A motor imagery (MI) brain-computer interface (BCI) plays an important role in the neurological rehabilitation training for stroke patients. Electroencephalogram (EEG)-based MI BCI has high temporal resolution, which is convenient for real-time BCI control. Therefore, we focus on EEG-based MI BCI in this paper. The identification of MI EEG signals is always quite challenging. Due to high inter-session/subject variability, each subject should spend long and tedious calibration time in collecting amounts of labeled samples for a subject-specific model. To cope with this problem, we present a supervised selective cross-subject transfer learning (sSCSTL) approach which simultaneously makes use of the labeled samples from target and source subjects based on Riemannian tangent space. Since the covariance matrices representing the multi-channel EEG signals belong to the smooth Riemannian manifold, we perform the Riemannian alignment to make the covariance matrices from different subjects close to each other. Then, all aligned covariance matrices are converted into the Riemannian tangent space features to train a classifier in the Euclidean space. To investigate the role of unlabeled samples, we further propose semi-supervised and unsupervised versions which utilize the total samples and unlabeled samples from target subject, respectively. Sequential forward floating search (SFFS) method is executed for source selection. All our proposed algorithms transfer the labeled samples from most suitable source subjects into the feature space of target subject. Experimental results on two publicly available MI datasets demonstrated that our algorithms outperformed several state-of-the-art algorithms using small number of the labeled samples from target subject, especially for good target subjects.

In an electroencephalogram- (EEG-) based brain–computer interface (BCI), a subject can directly communicate with an electronic device using his EEG signals in a safe and convenient way. However, the sensitivity to noise/artifact and the non-stationarity of EEG signals result in high inter-subject/session variability. Therefore, each subject usually spends long and tedious calibration time in building a subject-specific classifier. To solve this problem, we review existing signal processing approaches, including transfer learning (TL), semi-supervised learning (SSL), and a combination of TL and SSL. Cross-subject TL can transfer amounts of labeled samples from different source subjects for the target subject. Moreover, Cross-session/task/device TL can reduce the calibration time of the subject for the target session, task, or device by importing the labeled samples from the source sessions, tasks, or devices. SSL simultaneously utilizes the labeled and unlabeled samples from the target subject. The combination of TL and SSL can take advantage of each other. For each kind of signal processing approaches, we introduce their concepts and representative methods. The experimental results show that TL, SSL, and their combination can obtain good classification performance by effectively utilizing the samples available. In the end, we draw a conclusion and point to research directions in the future.

We present FaceBlit---a system for real-time example-based face video stylization that retains textural details of the style in a semantically meaningful manner, i.e., strokes used to depict specific features in the style are present at the appropriate locations in the target image. As compared to previous techniques, our system preserves the identity of the target subject and runs in real-time without the need for large datasets nor lengthy training phase. To achieve this, we modify the existing face stylization pipeline of Fišer et al. [2017] so that it can quickly generate a set of guiding channels that handle identity preservation of the target subject while are still compatible with a faster variant of patch-based synthesis algorithm of Sýkora et al. [2019]. Thanks to these improvements we demonstrate a first face stylization pipeline that can instantly transfer artistic style from a single portrait to the target video at interactive rates even on mobile devices.

Too often, instructional leadership is perceived as an area of competence for principals with less focus on teachers, especially those with subject leadership responsibilities. In the study reported on here we investigated the perspectives of subject leaders and their perceived competence in instructional leadership as a basis for its correlation. Two hundred and five subject leaders from a purposive sample of 100 primary schools across 5 education districts of the Free State province in South Africa were surveyed on their knowledge, beliefs and perceptions of instructional leadership, in relation to their perceived competence. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics, correlation coefficients and regression. The results show that beliefs about instructional leadership tend to correlate negatively with perceived competencies and make no impact on such competencies. On the other hand, knowledge and perceptions showed significant correlation and are thus considered to be the better predictors of subject leaders’ perceived competencies on instructional leadership. Further examination using regression analysis shows that perceptions may have a high impact on perceived competence. Consequently, we recommend interventions to deliberately target subject leaders’ perceptions of instructional leadership to promote a more distributed practice of subject leadership in schools.

AbstractGalactomannan is a polymer of high economic importance and is extracted from the seed endosperm of clusterbean (C. tetragonoloba). In the present study, we worked to reveal the stage-specific galactomannan biosynthesis and its regulation in clusterbean. Combined electron microscopy and biochemical analysis revealed high protein and gum content in RGC-936, while high oil bodies and low gum content in M-83. A comparative transcriptome study was performed between RGC-936 (high gum) and M-83 (low gum) varieties at three developmental stages viz. 25, 39, and 50 days after flowering (DAF). Total 209,525, 375,595 and 255,401 unigenes were found at 25, 39 and 50 DAF respectively. Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) analysis indicated a total of 5147 shared unigenes between the two genotypes. Overall expression levels of transcripts at 39DAF were higher than 50DAF and 25DAF. Besides, 691 (RGC-936) and 188 (M-83) candidate unigenes that encode for enzymes involved in the biosynthesis of galactomannan were identified and analyzed, and 15 key enzyme genes were experimentally validated by quantitative Real-Time PCR. Transcription factor (TF) WRKY was observed to be co-expressed with key genes of galactomannan biosynthesis at 39DAF. We conclude that WRKY might be a potential biotechnological target (subject to functional validation) for developing high gum content varieties.

The first president of the Republic of Indonesia, Sukarno, reminded the importance of the nation's strength of character which was built on the basis of a deep appreciation of the nation's view of life. Character is not only determine the existence and progress of individuals, but also the existence and progress of a group of individuals like a nation. Like an individual, in essence each nation has its own character that grows from shared experience. Referring to Sukarno's important ideas about character building, to provide life-contents and life-direction, the soul of this nation needs to be built intentionally to re-establish Indonesian values, through awareness, empowerment, and civilization of Pancasila values and morality. Based on the problem of the target subject, efforts are needed to develop an adaptive coaching program approach model in accordance with the objectives of the target subject. The model is used as an adaptive approach in the "Nation and Personal Character Building based on the Pancasila Ideology and Heroic Leadership Approach" as an effort to change the character and mindset of prisoners. The results of this dedication are expected to contribute to the Salemba class IIA correctional institutions (prisons), the prisoners, and all parties who are concerned in guiding prisoners.
