In operation, sometimes there are situations of uncertainty in assessing the technical condition of locomotive equipment and at the same time choosing the optimal strategy for its maintenance, including the possibility of using the service. Application of the concept of service gives the chance to stimulate work of all divisions of locomotive economy, to save all kinds of resources for operation of locomotives. According to this, the article substantiates the choice of strategy for maintaining the locomotive fleet using the provisions of the theory of statistical solutions. Game theory approaches were used to theoretically substantiate the transition to a service for decision-making in conflict situations and to determine the optimal strategy of behavior of each of the participants in this situation. Approaches to the choice of strategy for the maintenance of the locomotive fleet during the introduction of the service on the basis of the provisions of the theory of strategic games on the criterion of maximum efficiency were considered. It is shown on examples of the decision of some problems of a choice of maintenance strategy of locomotives for various industrial situations. It is concluded that a mixed strategy describes different situations best and allows to made rational decisions. It is also noted that the most effective approach to concretize the algorithm of actions is the complex application of the theory of strategic decisions, the theory of fuzzy sets, the theory of pattern recognition.

Objective: Formulating proposals for improving the indicators of infrastructural and technological interaction when assessing multivariate management decisions in the regional railway system on the example of the “port station – port” system. Methods: Drawing on the analysis of publications in the given research area, a modifi cation of the methods of the theory of fuzzy sets and the theory of probability was applied to select and formalize the most important transport and technological processes of port stations, taking into account possible stochastic phenomena in the management of the interaction between the station and the port. Results: The theoretical substantiation of the degree of belonging of the axiom of station transport and technological processes to certain conditions of interaction between the station and the port, the relationship of their association and inclusion is obtained. A matrix of links between the main technological operations and infrastructural elements for a specifi c port station has been developed. An example is presented and the axioms of transport processes of options for servicing port berths are described. Approaches to the assessment of logical situations and fuzziness of subsets of parameters of transport processes in the control of the interaction between the station and the port are formulated. In the environment of the analytical computing system, the time parameters of the options for organizing transport processes are determined. Practical importance: The visualization of the fuzzy organization of transport sub-processes was performed, the degree of logical correspondence between the axiom of station transport and technological processes and their entropy were assessed, a diagram of the membership of a set of times of transport process variants was constructed, which allows taking into account poorly formalized processes in managing the operation of the “port station – port” system and, in the future, reduce local cars inactivity in the system.

Problem. Effective use of motor graders is impossible without the use of automatic control systems, especially in modern conditions of large volumes of road construction. However, among the large number of samples of such systems, which differ in various parameters, it is impossible to make an appropriate choice without a scientifically sound approach, taking into account the set of their characteristics. It was found that these systems are characterized by a large set of parameters, with the values of some of them unknown, and the reliability of the values of many parameters is questionable, i.e. the choice must take place in conditions of fuzzy information. The methods of choosing alternatives in conditions of uncertainty described in the literature, in particular when choosing technical systems based on Analytic Hierarchy Process and fuzzy set theory, are analyzed and the latter is taken to develop a method of choosing a motor grader ACS. The goal of the work is to increase the efficiency of motor graders in road construction due to the appropriate choice of ACS. The methodology of constructing the method is the theory of fuzzy sets. The economic, technical-operational and ergonomic groups of criteria for choosing a motor grader ACS are determined and substantiated. The construction of the method was performed to select the ACS in the 3D class. As the alternatives, the systems which are the leaders of this segment were chosen. The above criteria are a set of criteria. The solution to the problem of choice is an alternative that best meets the requirements of the whole set of criteria. The results of the work are the development of a method of fuzzy multicriterion analysis for the selection of a motor grader ACS in the class of 3D systems. Originality lies in constructing the method of choosing a motor grader ACS in conditions of fuzzy information on the basis of reasonable criteria. The practical value is the fact that the use of the developed method will allow to make a scientifically sound choice of the ACS of a motor grader taking into account the whole set of criteria.

Obtaining convincing evidence of database security, as the basic corporate resource, is extremely important. However, in order to verify the conclusions about the degree of security, it must be measured. To solve this challenge, the authors of the paper enhanced the Clements–Hoffman model, determined the integral security metric and, on this basis, developed a technique for evaluating the security of relational databases. The essence of improving the Clements–Hoffmann model is to expand it by including a set of object vulnerabilities. Vulnerability is considered as a separate objectively existing category. This makes it possible to evaluate both the likelihood of an unwanted incident and the database security as a whole more adequately. The technique for evaluating the main components of the security barriers and the database security as a whole, proposed by the authors, is based on the theory of fuzzy sets and risk. As an integral metric of database security, the reciprocal of the total residual risk is used, the constituent components of which are presented in the form of certain linguistic variables. In accordance with the developed technique, the authors presented the results of a quantitative evaluation of the effectiveness of the protection of databases built on the basis of the schema with the universal basis of relations and designed in accordance with the traditional technology of relational databases.

Abstract This article discusses the software implementation using the theory of fuzzy sets. To build the model, we use data on wind direction, wind strength, the distance of residential buildings and the population of the expected area of pollution distribution. To do this, the most critical parameters must be ranked such as size of population. wind speed and wind direction. We will consider them as input data. We use Scilab as the processing environment.

Abstract Purpose of the work is to propose provisions for the aggregation of parameters of a climatic and anthropogenic nature. Regulations are necessary to determine the rating of forest areas in terms of fire hazard level. As a result of the study, theoretical provisions for the aggregation of variables have been proposed. Variables are described on different metric scales and affect the final result in different ways. The provisions are based on the methods of the theory of fuzzy sets and fuzzy inference. The computational complex for determining the rating of the forest areas is implemented in the form of a hierarchical system of fuzzy inference. It is based on the Takagi-Sugeno algorithm. Simulation of the complex operation was carried out. As a result, it was concluded that the generated output pattern has a stepped nature. This makes it possible to classify the analyzed elements into state groups. This allows you to solve the problems of planning work on the implementation of preventive and/or preparatory measures to eliminate or prevent forest fires. The prospect of further research is the formation of decision support systems in the control processes organization of forest areas.

Recently, there has been enormous development due to advancements in technology. Industries and enterprises are moving towards a digital system, and the oil and gas industries are no exception. There are several threats and risks in digital systems, which are controlled through cyber-security. For the first time in the theory of fuzzy sets, this research analyzes the relationships between cyber-security and cyber-crimes in the oil and gas sectors. The novel concepts of complex intuitionistic fuzzy relations (CIFRs) are introduced. Moreover, the types of CIFRs are defined and their properties are discussed. In addition, an application is presented that uses the Hasse diagram to make a decision regarding the most suitable cyber-security techniques to implement in an industry. Furthermore, the omnipotence of the proposed methods is explained by a comparative study.
