Blue development and blue economy are relatively new terms, although blue economy has been developing for centuries. Its potential on European, Croatian or regional level is huge. New researches point out that the Blue Economy impact will double in next ten years. Although present in theory since 1990ties, blue economy in last few years as a part of the answer on the global challenges, has been followed by the aspects of Green Development, Green Economy Green Growth as synonyms for desirable and necessary transition towards sustainability. The definition of Green Economy in perspective of long-term sustainability, environment protection and reduced use of natural resources is defined as well. Recognizing the importance of blue-green economy for the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County (PGKC) development, the authors describe the potentials and possibilities for development of the region, as well as analyse natural and other preconditions and point out the reached level of blue-green economy innovative sectors. The purpose of this research is to explain the importance of coastal area as a basic determinant for the blue-green economy as well as to analyze the development level of the blue-green economy in European Union, Croatia and PGKC. This paper determined the spatial, geographical, technical-technological and economical potential of PGKC, defined the regional advantages, peculiarities and limits of the blue-green economy implementation in PGKC and set the recommendations for the balanced development and maximal use of extensive regional potential.

Aiming to provide weak as possible axiomatic assumptions in which one can develop basic linear algebra, we give a uniform and integral version of the short propositional proofs for the determinant identities demonstrated over GF (2) in Hrubeš-Tzameret [15]. Specifically, we show that the multiplicativity of the determinant function and the Cayley-Hamilton theorem over the integers are provable in the bounded arithmetic theory VNC 2 ; the latter is a first-order theory corresponding to the complexity class NC 2 consisting of problems solvable by uniform families of polynomial-size circuits and O (log 2 n )-depth. This also establishes the existence of uniform polynomial-size propositional proofs operating with NC 2 -circuits of the basic determinant identities over the integers (previous propositional proofs hold only over the two-element field).

: Stroke is a heterogeneous disease, and within the broad category of brain ischemia and its subtypes vary dramatically in its etiology. : The endothelium can regulate the vascular homeostasis by modulating processes of vascular dilation and constriction by producing and secreting cytokines and chemical mediators, and inflammation represents one of the most important factors that contribute to alteration in vessel structure and function by dysregulation of this fine balance. : Endothelial dysfunction means a basic determinant of the vascular damage, which can be identified in all different clinical subtypes of stroke, and, recently, it has been recognized as an interesting determinant of cerebrovascular risk. The entire spectrum of inflammatory processes is likely to act in concert, and cytokines are important mediators of stroke by inducing immunological/inflammatory reactions, which contribute to brain infarct progression as well as to the disease severity and outcome. : Results from recent studies and ongoing and future researches will allow characterizing these complex mechanisms better and finally leading to innovative therapeutic strategies that may change the natural history of this severe and disabling disease significantly.

This study is aimed to discuss variables involved in credit scorecard assessment for granting agricultural credits. To get the variables, authors approached with the synthesizing method or Knowledge Synthesis Method from 25 papers related to the credit scorecard development in SMEs and Agriculture. This study used 5 C’s of credit concept to group related variables and eliminated which are not. It is found that from the five aspects of 5C’s, the character aspect consists of management, relationship, credit history, good corporate governance (GCG), behavior, and innovation. The capacity aspect consists of liquidity, profitability ratio, indebtedness degree, repayment history, activity ratio, financial growth, and expense ratio. The capital aspect consists of one indicator, namely capital structure. The conditioning aspect comprises of external factors of PESTEL, industry, and scope of a region in terms of monitoring. The collateral aspect consists of one indicator, which is a guarantee. All of these indicators will be a basic determinant of variables to appraise credit risk quality of a borrower in the agriculture sector. The limitation of this study is the scope limitation of conducting literature synthesize in particular papers which are related to appraising borrowers who are proposing productive loan, particularly in SMEs and the agriculture sector. The finding of this study will be useful for financial institutions that are responsible for developing assessments for borrower candidates in SMEs or the agriculture sector. Further process of research is eligible to be conducted, either qualitative or quantitative, in order to validate and improve the findings in this paper.

The article assesses the natural conditions for the development of entrepreneurship, which is the basic determinant of the multifunctional development of a given territory. Achieving the objective formulated in this way, the answers to the following questions were sought: how do natural conditions, especially those considered valuable in terms of nature, affect the development of entrepreneurship – the dynamics and the structure of enterprises; do they favour diversification of economic entities and multifunctional development; how does the development of entrepreneurship translate into the use of endogenous resources of a given territory, into social processes (migration, unemployment, average wages)? The research (2012-2017) covered the region of Podkarpacie, with particular emphasis on counties with the highest and lowest share of natural value areas. The delimitation of counties was performed with the use of the complete linkage method, which allows one to distinguish subsets characterized by high internal similarity due to the adopted features. The research showed that natural values did not constitute an asset for the multifunctional development of these areas. This concerns both the development of the SME sector (the dynamics of the sector is lower than in the whole region and the compared group of counties) and the use of environmental values for the development of organic production - a clear decrease in the number of farms and the area of organic crops. The consequence of this is limited use of endogenous potential – high unemployment and high migration. This demonstrates the low effectiveness of cohesion policy and carries a high risk of depopulation of these areas, with all the complexity of such a process.

The importance of researching the agricultural economy of Ukraine have got big importance in the perspective of the country’s and Europe food security. The article accepts investments as the basic determinant of the sector’s development. The background of the reflections is the transformation of the agricultural sector after Ukraine regained it’s independence. The research covered territory of Ukraine, recalling empirical data from the years 1991-2018, with particular emphasis of the investments in 2012-2018. The purpose of the article was to identify investment activity in the modern agricultural Ukraine’s economy. The mentioned data allowed us to draw conclusions about the ineffective use of the country’s agriculture potential and agri-food processing as well as the intensification of the state's investment activity in recent years that support the development of this sector’s economy.

The motif of death in the novels of Dževad KarahasanDževad Karahasan’s novels The Eastern Diwan and Shahriar’s Ring, being the classic examples of postmodernism, feature various forms of play with genres and narrative patterns, the presence of historical persons and events, and significant intertextual dialogue, namely, quotations, with cultural and other elements of Islam. The motif of death is analyzed within the context of the plot, which is founded on this theme, as it consists of several political assassinations; whereas the idea of death as a repetitive motif is one of the compositional anchors of the novelistic structure. On the other hand, through the analysis of Karahasan’s novels it is possible to follow the attitude towards death in different periods of development of Islamic philosophy. In particular, the Hellenized strain of Islamic philosophy, rooted in esoteric thinking and spiritual religion, has led to the development of Islamic mysticism. The idea of the path of returning to the original source, which is transmitted through inner cognition and craving, is found to be the basic determinant of certain characters in the novel, as well as of the novel as a whole. Mianowicie, zhellenizowany strumień filozofi muzułmańskiej, zanużony w myśli ezoterycznej i spirytualizmie religijnym doprowadził do rozwoju mistycyzmu muzułmańskiego. Idea powrotu do źródła, który prowadzi przez wewnętrzne poznanie i pragnienie, okazuje się podstawowym wyznacznikiem zarówno niektórych postaci, jak i powieści jako całości.

The concept of "health behaviour" is defined depending on the field of science (psychology, medicine, sociology and pedagogy). The basic determinant of health behaviours among other human behaviours is the fact that they remain consistently indifferent to health. Nowadays, the study of health behaviours is considered an important method of measuring the health status of the population, which is also the basis for planning and evaluation of health education, development of prevention programs and health promotion projects. Factors influencing the shaping of a given behaviour include personal patterns at home, nursery, school, local community, mass media, advertising, etc. Childhood and youth are the periods that determine the
