The article reviews informational resources on precision and digital agriculture in international cross-disciplinal and sectoral international and local databases. The databases Web of Science, Scopus, AGRIS (by FAO UN) and Engineering infrastructure of Agriculture, Rosinformagrotech, AGROS (by Central Scientific Agricultural Library) with the retrieval requests “Digital agriculture”, “Precision Agriculture” were analyzed. The authors estimated the dynamics of document flows to the AGROS database and confirmed strong growth of volume of local publications on precision agriculture to the level demonstrating technology adoption of precision agriculture. Meanwhile the level of document flow on digital agriculture is at the starting level. Analysis of most frequent publications on the topic showed that there’s no local specialized journals on precision agriculture, most frequently publications appeared in local journals such as “Machinery and equipment for rural areas”, “Soil science and agrochemistry”, “Agricultural machinery and technology”. Predominantly materials were published in specialized foreign journals “Computers and electronics in agriculture” and “Precision agriculture”. Most of the documents were obtained from WOS and Scopus databases, but a lot of them are irrelevant. While searching for foreign documents it makes sense to use all the databases available, but most of the full-size texts in open access are available in the AGRIS database. In the same way AGROS database provide a wide range of full-size texts in the Russian language. Both AGROS and AGRIS databases showed high efficiency of search with most relevant documents in search results since both databases use thesaurus as a linguistic tool.

Scientific practices are introduced in curricula around the world, replacing the more general concept of inquiry. There are many different definitions of scientific practices, and the purpose of this article is to contribute to a common understanding of what scientific practices are and how they can be implemented and assessed in the classroom. We analyzed the Norwegian curriculum LK20 and found that teachers are mainly left on their own in how to interpret, implement and assess scientific practices. To address the lack of support, we selected a set of central scientific practices based on LK20, the research literature and international curricula and described the practices as explicit and close to teaching practice as possible. Implications for use are discussed, together with a call for other researchers to join the discussion.

The search for Galactic pevatrons is now a well-identified key science project of all instruments operating in the very-high-energy domain. Indeed, in this energy range, the detection of gamma rays clearly indicates that efficient particle acceleration is taking place, and observations can thus help identify which astrophysical sources can energize particles up to the ~PeV range, thus being pevatrons. In the search for the origin of Galactic cosmic rays (CRs), the PeV range is an important milestone, since the sources of Galactic CRs are expected to accelerate PeV particles. This is how the central scientific goal that is ’solving the mystery of the origin of CRs’ has often been distorted into ’finding (a) pevatron(s)’. Since supernova remnants (SNRs) are often cited as the most likely candidates for the origin of CRs, ’finding (a) pevatron(s)’ has often become ’confirming that SNRs are pevatrons’. Pleasingly, the first detection(s) of pevatron(s) were not associated to SNRs. Moreover, all clearly detected SNRs have yet revealed to not be pevatrons, and the detection from VHE gamma rays from regions unassociated with SNRs, are reminding us that other astrophysical sites might well be pevatrons. This short review aims at highlighting a few important results on the search for Galactic pevatrons.

The current Bibliographic Index represents the continuation of the volume The Linguistics in the Republic of Moldova. Bibliographic index (1991-2011). The paper aims to register, systematize and capitalize the publications in the field, published in 2012-2016. The bibliographic material is largely based on the funds of the Central Scientific Library „Andre Lupan”, consulting the file and catalogs. To fill the gaps, synthesis works, collections, tributes, specialty magazines, newspapers, etc., as well as the Internet were used. The index is not exhaustive, but selective. Taking into account the volume of materials collected, the work was divided, this time, by years. For example, the year 2012 is classified into: 1) books (monographs, collections), dictionaries, textbooks; 2) articles from collections; 3) articles from specialized magazines; 4) articles from science popularization magazines; 5) newspaper articles. Benefiting from a practical structure, the Bibliographic Index is an accessible and useful working tool that can meet the information requirements of this field, presenting approximately all the linguistic material from the given period.

Today it is widely practiced to exhibit autographs, inscriptions at exhibitions in museums, institutions of science, education and culture. This is due to the increased interest in the history of scientific research, personal and official relation-ships of people, and testifies to the urgency of the problem, that requires the attention of specialists.According to Brockhaus and Efron, «the autographs of famous scientists, writers and poets constitute the true treasure of libraries ...» (Encyclopedic Dictionary of Brockhaus and Efron, St. Petersburg, 1890. T. 1, p. 123). Autographs, inscriptions on books can serve as an additional source of information about any author’s life, era, scientific or cultural phenomenon. In the libraries of the Academy of Sciences, one can find literature with autographs, donation inscriptions of scientists, various notes. The purpose of the article is to bring to the readers some autographs, inscripts, their content, handwriting of prominent Russian scientists on books from the library stock of the Central Scientific Library of the Irkutsk Scientific Center SB RAS (СSL ISC SB RAS) (previously – the library of the East-Siberian Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences), to tell about these books and their authors destinies. Responses to the article will help to determine the authorship of unidentified inscriptions. In the course of the work, there were exposed and identified de visu books with autographs, donations (inscriptions) to the library from authors, to scientists from colleagues and owner’s inscriptions; the analysis of library materials was carried out, an attempt was made to systematize written sources with autographs and donations. At the second stage of the work, an electronic database was being compiled - the Catalog of Rare Books in EC IRBIS, which can be found on the library website.
